Thrakk, while big, is not so big that he fills the tunnel from side to side, so you can look around him if you wish. You would need light in there to see anything, though, Erric. Jambiya could look without the lights.
"GRRR why is it so dark down here... jam your lights are nice but I am getting tired of this damn cave." Anafrey would say as though some hidden frustration inside of her that she has been trying to repress was slowly starting to escape. The white haired woman would then reach into her pack and light a torch, holding it in front of her while pushing her way towards the front of the group. "I'm not going to get rid of this flail just standing here in the dark." she would grumble as she moved forward.
As she is wielding a flaming object, everyone turns and puts their backs to the tunnel wall as the woman marches forward. She steps into what appears to be a 20-foot-radius, roughly-circular cave, occupied by several sizable fungi. Patches of yellow-green ooze cover the floor of the cave. Another tunnel exits on the far side. In the bright light of the torch, Anafrey can see that the fungi are not myconids.
"Looks like a bunch of mushrooms.. the normal kind.. well... not really normal.. but they arn't talking at least" She says as she rubs her head with her free hand while waving her torch round to get a better look at the room.. trying to shed some light down the far path.
"Watch the goo on the floor," Jambiya says, following Anafrey but stopping at the cave entrance. "And maybe overhead?" She scans the ceiling. "My dads are always talking about slimes and oozes. I think Grumpy Pops tried to cook one, once."
Anafrey, by the light of your torch, and from what you can see, trying to look past the fungi, the far tunnel looks much the same as the current one. Jambiya, you see no goo on the ceiling. Erric, the goo does not resemble the mold that was growing on the wall of the kitchen. Also, you don't see any tracks; just puddles of goo.
The rock bounces in front of the puddle Jambiya was aiming for, splashes in the closest puddle of goo, bounces again, and then lands in another puddle with a plop. The party watches. Nothing further happens.
Erric has Jack poke the butt end of the torch into a few piles of goo, moving it around, like a fly caught in a spiderweb, to see if the goo seems... alive/hungry.
If nothing, he moves past Thrakk into the room and looks/listens/smells around. If still nothing, he gestures to the orc to move into the next tunnel at the front of the line.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The party moves cautiously into the room, poking at goo, sniffing around, and waiting for something to happen. When nothing does, they begin to move through the cave when something does happen. In unison, four dwarves with gray skin jump out of the four large fungi in which they were very stealthily hiding.
COMBAT! The party is surprised and cannot act or move in the first round.

Erric, Jambiya and Anafrey deflect their attacker, but Maldorn is a bit too slow and it knocked prone by the creature's weapon. The creature immediately pounces on Maldorn's ... foot! (18) The hunter kicks his foot, keeping the derro at bay.
Round 2: Bad guys go first
The three derro who missed last round try again. (17, 15, 18) Maldorn's derro continues trying to grab Maldorn's foot. (17) Erric and Anafrey once again deflect their attackers' weapons, but Jambiya is knocked to the cave floor, and her foot comes under attack. (17) Maldorn continues to keep his attacker at bay, but Jambiya's has deftly slipped one of her boots off and runs north!
Good guys can go. Maldorn and Jambiya are prone.
Ebokk says as he watches the one derro run with Jambiya's boot. "Wait. Are you hurt? Are they just stealing footwear?"
Erric, well, he takes off one of his shoes. Halflings don't even really like shoes very much. He tosses it to Jack. Jack takes the shoe and starts to run around the room, holding it high up.
Erric looks at his friends. "Worth a shot? Where should he go?"

"I could go for a nice stew... maybe not one that looks like that though." Anafrey would say as she gestures to the goop.
“Is this the goo you saw earlier, Erric?”
Does that fungus look like the stuff that was in the orc's kitchen?
Erric stays away from it, similar to the kitchen. Does he see any tracks on the ground?

"Do you remember this, Thrakk?" Erric is still waiting for the orc to go first.
"I have never been here," Thrakk replies.
Jambiya scoops up a rock and throws it at the goo. 10 to hit with an unproficient weapon (rock).

Jambiya follows Erric into the room, then, if nothing happens, looks expectantly at the bigs to lead on out of the room.

Maldorn was waiting on the smalls, so once they move into the room, he is not far behind. An arrow is nocked.
Anafrey would watch as her companions interact with the goo before moving forward with her lit torch held out in front of her.
