(sounds good, my map is a little different since its based on the official map. The homebrew one you use has different Sword mountains so ye using that one we dont have to go through the woods very far since the mountains are closer to the sea and the Neverwinter woods are smaller. )

The goblin, the halfling, the human, the dwarf, the pseudodragon, and the horse set off for Neverwinter. They decide a direct route is the best option. Do they run into problems?

Luckily, they do not! It takes five days to reach the road just south of the city.
During the five-day trip, Maldorn is sure to test out some of the skills he recently recalled from his past. He finds critters to converse with, birds to serve as his eyes, and ensures the group travels unnoticed whenever he becomes suspicious of the environment.
Once they hit the road, he confirms the chosen path with his friends: "North should lead us to the city. Shall we keep moving that way?"
As soon as Maldorn begins speaking to animals, Jambiya’s entire being lights up. “You can do what!? I can talk to animals, too! Oh my goodness, they can be the best, though sparrows are the actual worst, such fouls mouths on them! Did you know there’s a family of morning doves that live around the inn? They’ve been there for generations! I keep meeting new kids, and they grow up. Oh, I am so excited for you, Maldorn! There’s nothing like riding a horse you’ve met and talked to!”
She introduces Maldorn to Ebokk’s horse, of course.
In Neverwinter, she talks about wanting to go see a cemetery that she remembers from a story Daddy Pops tells, about some treasure buried by a grave. She just wants to go see, really, honest, maybe so she can give her Dad an ending to that story.

During the journey Ebokk will have some doubts if Maldorn and Jambiya can really speak to animals or if they are playing a trick on him.
When the others arent looking Ebokk will lean towards the horse's head and whispers Can you speak some words to me? Ill give you some extra food if you do!
After a few moments Ebokk will give up Bah.. and they say dwarves are stubborn.
When arriving in Neverwinter Ebokk listens to Jambiya talk about the cemetery.
Why dont we go see Eilikasys first Jambiya. If anyone knows about a buried treasure its her. We can sell our treasures and get a lead where to go next.
Erric would play his music happily, and the first night, begin reciting a long limerick about a very very very fine house that results in a tiny hut to seek shelter in. He experiments with the interior design and coloring, and the outer camouflaging each day.
When they get to the city, he's excited to have places to play and things to see, babbling about everything he plans to do, but when Ebokk mentions Eilikasys, he gets uncharacteristically quiet and looks around nervously.
Maldorn welcomes Jambiya's enthusiasm with delight. "I think I always knew how to speak with certain animals... I just forgot I knew it. Observing you speaking with the world's critters helped jog my memory, little one. Your powers reach farther than you think."
Upon formal introductions, Maldorn offers an apple to Ebook's horse.
While traversing Neverwinter with his friends, Maldorn keeps an eye open for an armorsmith, a leatherworker, or any shops that might dabble in that sort of products. He want to buy a suit of studded leather armor, and is willing to trade in his current scale mail set to help pay for it.

Ebokk looks around trying to find a landmark he still knows. Scratching his head Uhh its been a while since i been here. Im sure its around here somewhere.
As he stands around seeing Erric act strange Dont worry Erric, ill find her. We can put our things down and get some rest soon.
Ebokk will try to find a local to ask directions. Would you be able to help us out? Im looking for Eilikasys, this should be her address but im not sure which way it is.
History check 8 for location of Eilikasys. wow with a +4..
I will say that the easy time the party had traveling west was due to all of the conversing with wildlife (getting news about potential dangers) and Erric's camouflaged hut at night.
Ebokk and Maldorn approach a local to initially ask for directions to Eilikasys's and then to ask about armor. The female elf or half-elf (it's hard to tell) first smiles down at the dwarf and then up at the old man. Her eyes turn compassionate at the sight of Maldorn, but she looks down again to answer Ebokk's question. "I don't get to that side of town me self much, but I think I can tell you about where it is." She proceeds to give directions that will take the party across the river and north of Castle Never. "You might need to ask someone over there just to make sure, but that should get you close." Following Maldorn's question about purchasing some leather armor, the lass scratches her shoulder as she thinks. "I don't buy such me self, but I think you're best to go to the Shining Knight." She gives directions to the establishment, which is on the southern side of the river north of the main graveyard.
Maldorn thanks the elven lady for her assistance and offers her 5 copper pieces as a gesture of gratitude. He knows that the sum is not that large but hopes that the gesture is what counts.
Turning to his companions, he asks: "It sounds like we can pass by the Shining Knight before making our way across the river. Would that work for you or are we in a hurry to meet the gnomish lady?"
"....Fine! Everything's fine, Jambiya,"Erric says, snapping out of something. "I'm not sure where things stand with me and her, after, well, our encounter on the ship. Hopefully it's fine, and she won't try anything again. I'm sure it will be, actually. Fine, that is."
Jambiya narrows her eyes, and her lip twitches in a teensy snarl. "That woman. If you don't want to meet her, you can come with me to the cemetery, and we can just meet the others later," she offers.

OOC: Great map! Why don't we head straight west until hitting the road?

Yes, Ebokk, you would have an address for Eilikasys. Roll a history check to find out if you have ever been there or if you'd need to find it (DC11).
