Erric says, "whoa boy back through the door" and walks back a few steps into the kitchen, motioning Anafrey to follow in a short retreat to a safer place. Movement is to S8 and he will pull his rapier and will poke it at any tattered human who seems aggressive who gets to R9 (hold attack action). He turns to Jambiya, "do you think we can talk to them?"
"Ieric, come back here and talk to these nice folk, will you?" Maldorn says as he readies an arrow to let loose if the fancy body and servants turn out to be hostile (I know, I know...). If that turns out to be the case, Maldorn would aim at the yellow-encircled servant.
I'm surprised Erric and Maldorn didn't ask about the initiative order. I'm so used to rolling everyone's initiative (rolling four d20s and adding your initiative), that I added your initiative bonuses on top of what you rolled. This is the updated initiative (sorry, Jambiya):
Edit: Going back and double checking to make sure you all did, in fact, add your initiative bonuses, I caught that Anafrey actually only added 1 instead of 2, so she's actually at 19.
Round 1 (I think final): Anafrey, Erric/Maldorn, tattered humans, Jambiya
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Anafrey, still holding a shortsword from attacking the mirror, looks down sadly at the wine bottle as she drops it, drawing the kenku's blade as well, readying an attack in case the tattered humans approach with hostile intent.
"Easy... we didn't mean to intrude on your... fancy gathering... but we'll need to get by to leave. So if you would kindly step aside..."
As the zombies show themselves, Anafrey quickly decides a second weapon is more important than her current pacifier. She drops the bottle, which doesn't break — thankfully — and draws her second blade, ready to defend herself and the others. "Easy... we didn't mean to intrude on your... fancy gathering... but we'll need to get by to leave. So if you would kindly step aside..." she says calmly.
Erric and Maldorn then act in unison. Erric says, "Whoa boy, back through the door," and walks back a few steps into the kitchen, motioning Anafrey to follow in a short retreat to a safer place as he pulls his rapier, also ready to react with force if needed. He looks at Jambiya as he passes her, "Do you think we can talk to them?"
Maldorn readies an arrow and says, "Ieric, come back here and talk to these nice folk, will you?"
OOC: Sorry, Erric, you can either ready an attack or try to persuade or help. I'll assume you want to keep your readied action.
As everyone is preparing to defend themselves, wishing to resolve this peacefully, the creatures lumber forward, their motion slow, but their intent clear.
The zombies begin stepping forward in unison with outstretched arms. As soon as he recognizes their evil intent, Maldorn releases his arrow at the (yellow) zombie, but the creature keeps coming, the arrow protruding from its neck. When the fancy (blue) zombie gets close (Q11), Anafrey reacts by thrusting her shortsword into the belly of the undead. It doesn't even appear to notice, and it swipes one of its grotesque arms at the huntress. (Slam attack: 7; damage: 2 bludeoning damage) Anafrey uses the action of removing her blade to throw the creature off balance, and she easily dodges its clumsy attack. Right behind it comes the (red) zombie (P11), but it can't seem to navigate between the (blue) zombie and the edge of the table. The (yellow) zombie sets its sights on the little green goblin girl (R9), swinging a club-like arm at her. Erric immediately thrusts his own blade forward (Erric, I need rolls for this attack). (Slam attack: 14; damage: 4 bludeoning damage) Jambiya is distracted by Erric's reaction and misjudges the zombie's movement, and the creature's arm crashes down on her shoulder. The (orange) zombie ends up next to Anafrey (Q9) and also swings an arm at her. (Slam attack: 12; damage: 6 bludeoning damage) She raises her blade and deflects the attack.
Jambiya does not hesitate. These are not natural creatures, and they are attacking her friends! She steps backwards so as not to be in the way (to either T8 or T10, whichever leaves her with line of sight on the ugly attacking Anafrey) and she grits her little sharp teeth and points her fingers, firing a blast of eldritch energy at it.
Eldritch Blast: 8 to hit, for 3 force damage.

Anafrey parries the incoming blows and is grateful that she's in front so that no one can see the surprised look on her face. She aims for the neck and head of one of the undead nobles. "You made me..." slash, "drop my wine..." stab, "you monsters!"
[ooc : assuming it has come round to Anafrey's turn once again.]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Erric's readied attack was successful!)
Jambiya starts to step backwards, but the (yellow) zombie takes another swipe at her. (Slam attack: 10; damage: 2 bludeoning damage). The goblin girl screams as the zombie's arm catches her on the side of the head, knocking her out.
Seeing the (yellow) zombie knock out Jambiya (at least she hopes she's only knocked out), Anafrey aims for the neck and head of the (yellow) undead noble. "You made me..." slash, (DM rollz: 8) she decapitates the creature, the body dropping and the head landing five feet away, "drop my wine..." she stabs the (orange) zombie, "you monsters!"
Erric moves between Jambiya and the zombies, pained at ho quickly they knocked her down but unable to process it yet. This has been the longest afternoon of his life and he would really like everyone to be able to rest but since that's not happening as they fight for their lives again, he attacks again, whichever zombie he can reach that looks most damaged.

"Dang it! Ms. Jambiya, wake up!" Maldorn says in hopes that she is not out for the count. He then quickly shoots another arrow, taking an extra second to pull his bowstring extra hard:
OK, we're going to roll it back to the end of Round 1 (Jambiya's turn). Reread post #432, and Erric's reaction in post #434, which is successful. Here is a map just so everyone knows where everyone is:
OOC > This map shows quite clearly that Anafrey is in deep... Jambiya's action, if she didn't have such a ditzy player, would have been to stand and fight, not run from a clearly aggressive monster...
Jambiya thinks for a split second about backing away from all the uglies given her wound, but seeing Anafrey in a dire situation, her eyes darken and her brows scowl, her fingers curl like claws, lengthen, darkening like old wood and dripping sizzling drops... in this fey visage, she strikes out at the (yellow) undead before her.
Action: attack with Primal Savagery, using the rolls from the retconned EB above, 8 to hit, for 4 acid damage (so a miss, like the EB was).
Erric initiative 13
Which one is the fancy one?
Anafrey looks at the undead creatures, eyes wide with surprise, "Uh... hello..."
initiative : 18
~♡~
Maldorn’s initiative: 18
(Also are these creatures/people shadowy at all, like the furniture and walls? Or was it just their initial cloaks of shadow they shed as they stood?)
The blue token is the fanciest of the four. As far as you can tell (though, this place is pretty tricksy), these creatures seem pretty solid.
Round 1:
Eric/Maldorn, Anafrey, Jambiya, tattered humansFIXED BELOWEric and Maldorn, you two tied for initiative, so you're both up!
