Jambiya aims another blast of green-white energy, this time at the (yellow) gnoll she can barely see over the top of the hedge. Once again, her aim is spot on, despite the barrier between. However, the hedge gives a little bit of shielding, and her blast doesn't do as much damage as it could have. (yellow -4 hp)
Five gnolls pop out of hiding, the three remaining on the north side aiming at Erric, while the other two aim at Anafrey. (yellow spear Attack: 11 Damage: 7; white arrow Attack: 12 Damage: 3; blue arrow Attack: 5 Damage: 7; red spear Attack: 12 Damage: 6; orange arrow Attack: 16 Damage: 5) All five projectiles fly through the air, but the only one that hits is orange's arrow versus Anafrey, but it simply slices a gash in her skin as it flies by. The (yellow) gnoll abandons its hiding place in the road and ploughs through the other hedge to join the (white) and (blue) gnolls. All five duck back into hiding again.
(Quick question for my next turn, the gnolls have ducked back into hiding. Can Jambiya see them from her vantage, or have they ducked far enough down that she cannot?)

I'm assuming Erric can see more of the gnolls from his perch -- he'll climb up another 10 feet to give him eyes on the different-looking gnoll who seems to be the leader.
He casts phantasmal force on them, manifesting a clay jar stuck tightly on their head, and inside the jar dozens of angry hornets, buzzing loudly and stinging repeatedly.
INT 14 save to take hold, and then 5 psychic damage this round and then more every round the spell's operating.
"Ignore the leader if this takes hold!"he'll call to his friends.
He will also inspire Anafrey with a very impressive bird call. Free d6 in the next ten mins on attack rolls, saving throws, ability checks.
Erric climbs up another 10 feet, climbing about as high as he can without it becoming dangerous (it's not a huge tree). (I would say the cover between Erric and anything hiding would be 3/4 now with the combined cover of his tree and their whatever they're hiding behind.)
DC14 INT save: 16 — Oh! What luck. Good try.
Erric, peering through the foliage of the tree around him and the hedge the apparent gnoll leader is trying to hide behind, sends a creative mental suggestion. Unfortunately, due to the creature's limited imagination, it is able to shrug off the idea. The bard then calls out an impressive bird call, and Anafrey's ears pick up on, inspiring her.

Anafrey would snarl and move towards the gnolls to the south (x20) and position herself on the other side of the wall. She would then stand up and fire an arrow at the creature hiding on the other side of the wall (red).
Attack: 9 Damage: 9 plus distracting strike damage 6
if he lives, the next attack on Red has advantage.
Anafrey light-foots it to the ruin, then aims her bow over the top of the crumbling wall and lets go with her arrow. Her aim is true, sinking the pointy end into the creature crouched on the other side. It reaches up to grasp the arrow sticking out of its neck, but then its knees slowly give way, and it collapses to the ground dead.
Jambiya will climb higher with her boots, to try to get a better view of the yellow gnoll. She will send another bolt of magical force at him, then she will duck behind the tree trunk again for whatever cover it can provide.
Move: Climb higher Action: Eldritch blast at the yellow gnoll. 22 to hit, for 5 magical force damage.

Magically, due to her boots, Jambiya climbs another five feet up into the tree fairly effortlessly. Peering through the crown of the tree she is in and the hedge across the road, the little goblin girl picks out the gnoll she fired upon a moment before. She lets go with another green white blast of energy, hitting her mark once again. (yellow -9 hp)
The three gnolls pop up from behind the hedge. All three fire arrows at Jambiya (who gets 3/4 cover) — the one who appears in charge firing two arrows! (blue Attack: 17 Damage: 4; yellow Attack: 21 Damage: 8; white Attack #1: 24 Damage: 11; Attack #2: 10 Damage: 4) One arrow lands in the trunk of the tree very near where she is peeking around, two fly off around the three harmlessly, but one manages to leave a bloody gash as it ricochets off of her leg. (-4 hp) The (red) gnoll angles around its hiding place and fires an arrow at Anafrey (who gets 1/2 cover). (Attack: 15 Damage: 5) The arrow clatters off the wall she is hiding behind.
(I'm guessing by "hide once again" we mean that Erric can't see them even from his perch?)
If he can see them fine, he'll shoot with his hand crossbow. If not, he's going to try something weird.
He casts unseen servant 60 feet ahead of him, AA7 if he can manage it, and two squares closer if not. Jack springs into existence, and with Erric's bonus action, Jack grabs a decent sized rock, or stick, from the ground, whatever Erric can see, or if Jack can find it himself. He takes the stick and swings it, or tosses the rock up, at a leafy branch in the tree at BB6. The goal being to make the gnolls feel like there's someone or something sneaky in the tree, and spend a round looking there or attacking phantoms, rather than the party.
As he does this, he climbs down just over 5 feet and drops the rest of the way, risking a just under 10 foot drop, and darting with the rest of his movement NE to the edge of the wall, looking to get better eyes on the gnolls.
OOC: You're right. I said red, but it was orange. Colors are hard.
Erric, the gnolls get 3/4 cover where they are from where you are. You can attack with your crossbow, but they'll get +5 to their AC, and you won't be able to load another bolt because you have to use one hand to hold onto the tree.
From her vantage in the tree, Jambiya will peek around the trunk and shoot a bolt of energy at the yellow gnoll!

Round 3: Maldorn (cover), Anafrey (inspired), Jambiya (cover), gnolls (cover), Erric (cover)
Maldorn, you're up!
If you start getting low on HP, you could make a note in your post to help those who can heal know you might need help.

Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands.
Erric has healing word and a potion of healing, and you have goodberry.
OOC: And Maldorn has that healing ointment that also cures poisoning and diseases.
Grunting at his near miss, Maldorn pulls another arrow from his quiver and releases it at the same marked (red) gnoll.
-> Longbow vs (Red) Gnoll: Attack: 18 Damage: 13 piercing.
-> Arrows used so far: 2
Despite the creature's efforts to hide, Maldorn still skewers it with an arrow, causing it to bark in pain. (red -13 hp)

Yeah with that cover Erric will still do the action outlined in the post. Sorry for the delay!
