Maldorn advances down the tunnel after Erric and Jambiya. Passing the halfling, he asks for a refresher: "Hey, Erric, what did you do to the beholder?"
(OOC: Just reread the enthralling performance description again and it specifies humanoids. Sadly! Would have been amazing to have a beholder as Erric's number one artistic fan, charmed by him. Perhaps, to retcon, she's just... really intrigued by the bizarre halfling who dances and plays music whilst investigating a death trap. Sorry DM, I missed that detail.)
Erric just shrugs at Maldorn. "Some people really appreciate a good performance!"
He skips into the next room, taking a closer look at the tiles on the far side.
Ah, we'll throw her in for fun. What was your plan after enthralling one or more of them?
Jambiya, the plaque under the relief to the right reads, "Grath took to the seas aboard the Pegasus, leading his men with grim determination." And the plaque to the left reads, "Raman captained the Chimera. Fearless and resourceful, he was a great leader of men." You approach the far wall and see that each tile bears an image of a single creature.
(Plan? Erric? Surely by now we all know there's no plan. He loves it when people are fans of his work! And if they want to, perhaps, be more helpful and friendly as they do so, that's even better.)
Seeing the odd creature, Erric starts saying, "dragons, goats, and lions here. No Pegasuses. Pegasi? Any ideas? Rosie, any hints? That sign back there said Raman led and Grath followed. Maybe touching the dragons, lions, and goats make a pegasus come out to fly us elsewhere."
Maldorn approaches and adds: "No pegasus, you are right, Erric. But there is a single horse in this panel. Every other creature repeats, but there is only one horse. That has to mean something."
He goes silent for another moment before speaking again: "And look, there is a dragon next to the horse, a goat next to that dragon, and a lion below the goat..."
And finally, a question: "And, is that a depiction of our friend, Cose? Or is that the head of a cyclops?"
Ebokk stands puzzled looking at the creatures untill Maldorn points on the individual images. Ah ofcourse! That head doesnt have 4 eyearm things so it must be a cyclops.
he pauzes a moment
You think there is a cyclops? Ebokks eyes dart around looking at walls or corridors high enough for such a creature.
After a bit he feels safe enough and moves to the wall and simply fiddles with the horse icon seeing if it can be moved or pressed.
Erric, Rose, Bubble and Squeak do not follow the party to the next room. Do you go back to ask them after you see the wall?
Ebokk, you don't see a cyclops in either of the reliefs or anywhere in the room. Bravely, you reach out and push on the tile with the horse carved into it. You are able to depress the tile, pushing it into the wall about an inch before it stops. As you pull your hand back, the tile returns to its original spot flush with the rest of the tiles. Nothing else seems to happen.
Erric turns around after realizing Rosie's stayed behind. He continues thinking out loud. "Is there a pattern we'd have to try? Raman went first, and he was aboard the Chimera. Grath followed, and he went aboard the Pegasus. Maybe dragon, lion, goat, and then horse? Or maybe one of those and then the horse? Or maybe all of them and then the horse? Maldorn, you just pointed out that this dragon is next to the horse. What if they're friends. Maybe that dragon first and then the horse, and then the lion next to it, and then the horse, and then the goat, and then the horse? Or is that too much. It's too much. Jack could help, actually."
Erric offers to have Jack press the dragon and then the horse next to it while the party stays far away from the wall.
If what Erric tries does not work, Maldorn has another suggestion. "Do you see the lion where the seventh row meets the eighth column? I suggest we press it simultaneously with the goat just above it and the dragon just to the left of the goat. These three panels should make the chimera that leads. Then, assuming they stay pressed, we could try pressing two more panels simultaneously: the horse and the dragon just northwest of it. A winged-horse if you will, the pegasus that follows."
Jambiya watches the others, brows furrowed in concentration. As they debate mythological beasts, she looks back at the two reliefs. "There's another chimera set on the left side," she says, walking up and pointing at three tiles arranged vertically, dragon, goat, lion. "I don't think we should re-use any of the tiles. And that winged horse doesn't have dragon wings."
She looks up at the three tiles in a row in front of her. Then she reaches up and presses the dragon tile (at, like B4, two across, four down).

Hearing his companions he is still standing in front of the horse. Together you say?Ebokk then places both feet firmly on the ground and tries to press the horse and the dragon tile at the same time. Lets see .. he pushes some more what this does
Jambiya bravely pushes against the dragon tile in the second column. Like the horse tile, it sinks into the wall. However, when she pulls her hand back, the tile remains depressed.
Ebokk, Jambiya pushed in the dragon in the second column. Which dragon tile are you pressing along with the horse?
"Wait!" Maldorn pleads to Ebokk. "If the dragon panel didn't pop back out, shouldn't we try to complete the chimera before moving on to the pegasus part? Why don't you press a goat or a lion next?"
The gray line is the wall of tiles. I guess Jambiya and Ebokk would need to be at G4 and G5 since they currently have their hands on the tiles. Jambiya is manipulating a tile on the left, and Ebokk on the right, so Jambiya would be at G4, and Ebokk would be at G5. Where are Erric and Maldorn?
Erric was asking if they should be stepping back and letting Jack touch the tiles, so let's say he was starting to head back to the door, and is at C5?

Following the others into the room Ebokk speaks up He gave them a taste of their own medicine it seems.
He chuckles then moves towards the stone wall and starts to look at the images shown on them. To see if he can make something of it.
