Following Jambiya's discovery that her chosen dragon tile clicks into place when pressed, Erric finishes backing up toward the room's entrance just as Ebokk places his hands on two tiles. Maldorn quickly suggests a different course of action, but the dwarf is already in motion, depressing both tiles at the same time. As the two tiles are pressed, Erric notices something to his left. He looks over and sees a glow in the chimera's dragon head's mouth. The halfling's rare streak of wisdom continues, and he hollers, "Duck!" Ebokk has just realized that the horse tile is also clicking into place, but the dragon tile is returning to its original placement as he eases pressure.
All four adventurers hit the deck, but in typical "old man" style, it takes Maldorn longer to fall prone. A jet of flame erupts from the chimera's dragon head from the wall on the left aimed at the wall of tiles. Erric is completely clear of the path, but the other three aren't so lucky. (Get it? 'Cause he's a halfling.) Ebokk and Jambiya dropped quickly enough to take less damage, but Maldorn feels the full force of the gout of flame upon his body. (18 damage to Maldorn; 9 damage to Jambiya and Ebokk. And I assume Sagitta is still in Maldorn's pocket, so he takes no damage.)
Once he feels it's safe, Erric more easily and quickly gets back to his feet as the other three are taking stock of their injuries. Looking toward that end of the room, the bard sees that an open has appeared to the left of the wall of tiles, giving access to another well-lit tunnel.
By the way, you all figured that out way too quickly. If you keep it up, we'll be done with the module in no time.
Wait we figured it out and there was still an inferno in the room!?! We might not survive the module even if we do solve puzzles! Also kudos to you for figuring out what happened even with four people telling you what each of us did, different from one another.
Erric pops up and says "WHOA! Maldorn are you okay!?! That was not great! You can take my potion, here."He walks up to the ranger and helps him put out any remaining flames and pushes his healing potion into his hands.
Order of posting influences the timing, but is not absolute. If I feel like two posts are complimentary, but the second post going first would work best for either the players or the story, I might switch the order. Or I might roll to see which goes first. In this case, while Lerus posted after CoolName, the end result (while painful) was helpful to the party, I decided to go ahead and take the steps in that order. I could have stopped it, but I'd hate to make that decision for the group and cause anyone to interpret that as discouragement from taking that course of action.
Jambiya rolls over patting her clothes where the fire caught a little. She sits up, concerned for the others, but when she sees Erric taking care of Maldorn, she pauses a moment to close her eyes and hum.
Fiendish Vigor for 6 temp hp.
Then she climbs to her feet and comes over to the others. “Are you okay, Maldorn?”

"AAAAHHHHHGGGGG" Maldorn screams as he stops, drops, and rolls a bit too slowly. He eventually rises with his hands outstretched: "Don't touch me. Don't touch me. My skin feels like it is going to fall off any moment. AGHHH! This hurts while I move."
Unharmed, Sagitta comes out of a deep pocket and slithers up the ranger: "AAHAHAGGG! Sagitta! Stop! Stop! Back in the pocket you go!"
"I may consider using some of that magical ointment really soon..."
"I'm so sorry, Maldorn! Oooh... oh, that looks pretty bad. Definitely use the potion, please?" Jambiya drops her eyes and looks towards Erric. "We should have listened to you, Erric. If we'd used Jack, maybe Maldorn wouldn't have gotten hurt." She waits a beat, then looks up at the halfling. "No, I should have listened to you." She turns to the still-smoldering ranger. "I'm sorry. Maldorn, I'm sorry. We're not going to beat the Trap if we keep bulling our way forward. I'll try to be more careful."

Maldorn listens to his friends. He drinks a gulp of water out of Ebokk's waterskin and thanks him with a pat on the shoulder. He also reaches into his backpack, shows the tub of ointment to Jambiya, and begins applying a generous dollop of it on his burned skin.
-> Maldorn heals for 12 and is cured of any disease or poison.
(@DDP: How many doses of this ointment would you say we have? I don't recall if we ever rolled to determine it, but this is the first time I am using it.)
Jambiya nods, remembering the ointment now. She visibly relaxes as Maldorn's burns begin to magically heal.
Looking up at Ebokk's comment, she says, "I think we found the trick, even if it was a little warm." She indicates the now open doorway that Erric is looking through.
"I wish we could see around that corner, but I guess there's no help for it but to go on down..." She pauses, looking back at the others guiltily.
"Oh, right, I was going to listen to sense, wasn't I?"

Wait did Erric somehow get lost and find himself as the wise party member in suggesting Jack press buttons? I'll have to adjust my roleplaying!

Ebokk lands on the ground with a heavy thud instead of a gracefull dive. Thats a little warm for my tastes.
Do you want some water Maldorn? He says as he holds out his waterskin
Not sure what happened there, i almost had it! What should we try first? The horse or the dragon?
(Jambiya's dragon tile seemed to be correct and Ebokks horse tile as well)
Erric walks toward the opening but does not go in. He looks and listens, not eager to proceed but aware of the sandglass...
Erric, you can see that the new passage extends about half as far as the two previous and then turns to the left.
Are Rosie and the others still out of the room? Can he see them in the next passage, or in the passage behind?

There are/were three doses, so two more.
Erric, you can't see Rose, but you assume she is still in the last room.
Erric begins to slowly move forward down the next passageway once Maldorn's ready to move again.
