Jambiya, still focused on not getting into trouble, waits for Erric to lead, then follows him 10' distant. "Do you think we have to swim?" she asks nobody in particular.

Ebokk responds to the question of swimming quickly What? Im not dressed for swimming he says as he looks down to his armor.
He bends through his knees slightly and tilts his head so one of his ears is pointing towards the ground in the direction of the water. He will try to hear if the water is coming towards them or if the water is very inconsistant which would indicate something creating the splashes on its own.
The party quickly realizes their worry was unfounded as they enter the hallway. They can see there is another statue in the center of the next room, and that the statue is a fountain. Erric leads the group into the next room, which is dominated by the magnificent fountain with water cascading from the open mouth of a large statue modeled on a dragon. The water falls into a clear pool at its feet. A cat-like humanoid of rakish appearance stands in sculpted splendor astride the dragon's tail. Erric looks for and finds the accompanying plaque. It reads: "But few deeds compare to Raman's glorious defeat of the Bearded Drake of Gundarlun, or Grath's victory over the Rakshasa pirate, Aatush the Cruel."

As Erric reads, Maldorn will take a close look at the fountain, looking first at the dragon and then at the cat-person. He also asks out loud: "Were the brothers catfolk? You know... tobaxxo?"

Jambiya tries to recall if her fathers ever talked about either of these individuals, or, more generically, what a drake or a rakshasa are. History (for Dirk's stories): 23
(I'll assume some generic knowledge from that roll, to move us along)
"Well, the dragon is clearly the drake," Jambiya says, "And a rakshasa is a kind of cat-like intelligent creature, but very powerful, I think. Different than a tabaxi, for sure. Raman first..."
She will approach the statue and investigate it for any do the sorts of trickery we've seen so far on the reliefs. Investigation: 7
Ebokk replies that from what he gathered, the brothers were human. He concedes that he's not actually sure, but he's almost positive they weren't dwarves.
Maldorn, like the other statues you investigated, the artist appeared to spend more time on facial features and hands. The clothing of the "rakshasa pirate" is less detailed, though reminiscent of generic pirate garb. The drake, however, is detailed from nose to tail. Each scale has been painstakingly etched in.
Jambiya, you poke and prod the statues, but everything seems to be solidly in place. In your investigation, you do note that the water that collected in the base of the fountain is clear and appears fresh, forming a pool about six inches deep.
"The sculptor seems quite skilled, though I'd be willing to guess they never understood the concept of clothes. Maybe the artist never wore clothes themselves. Maybe, it is one of the beholders. They don't wear clothes, do they?"
Right now, I'm sure Jambiya is not standing in water, but I doubt any of the rest are. The fountain is in the center of the room. The statues are the centerpiece, with the water flowing from the drake's mouth and splashing in the roughly 10x10 square of collected water that is held in by a low wall that can be stood upon.
The goblin girl shrugs. “Nothing to see here, I guess. Next room? But first...” She pauses and takes out a piece of parchment, and a little pot and a quill. “I’m going to take some notes,” she says. Then she writes down things we have noticed about the rooms we’ve been in, just in case some of the details are important later.
”I don’t trust that these rooms with nothing in them aren’t a part of some larger puzzle we are going to find at the end, so everyone tell me what you remember.”
OOC > she does have those items in her equipment! And I am hoping this will let us look back at the posts for clues if we need them later.
Erric fills a bottle (he's got one in his inventory) with the water and stoppers it. He lists what he remembers about the previous rooms to Jambiya (the foes, Raman first, the beholders, etc).
He then looks down the next hallway. I'm assuming Jack's gone by now, ten minutes later?
Maldorn shows his appreaciation for the girls thoughtfulness: "Very smart of you Jambiya. Good thinking." He then makes sure she includes a note about the sculptor caring more about the body than the clothes of his subjects.
Erric, you look into the next hallway. This one, brightly lit as the others have been, is extra long. You estimate it to be about twice as far to the next open area. Even at this distance, you can see that the next room is much larger than the 30x30x30 cubes you've seen so far.

Maldorn suspects a variation in the length of the corridor is a significant change. Once they are ready to advance through the corridor, the old ranger is careful to take note of anything that might suggest a trap.
Ebokk cups a bit of the water from the fountain in his hand smelling it first and looking at the water to see if it looks normal then takes a quick sip. Its good to stay hydrated, never know how long we will be here.
He will make sure to look to see if there is anything in the water, swimming around or on the bottom of it if its clear enough to see.
When hes done brushing his hand through the water he will look towards the next corridor and follow the others through it.
Erric raises hsi eyebrows and pokes his head into the next room with the water. Where's it coming from?
Maldorn tries to quickly discern if it sounds like a high enough volume of water to drown them, or if it is a "safe" amount of water.

Jambiya takes pains not to stand in the water. She is well versed in stuff like that from her fathers' tales. She just forgets sometimes.

Yes, Jack would be gone by now.

Erric keeps walking, and stops just short of entering the new room, waiting for the others to catch up.
Jambiya follows, at her prudent 10 ft from Erric.
