Ebokk, the water has no smell. You take a sip and feel strangely refreshed.
Ebokk only:
You may use one or more hit dice to regain some hit points. You would realize this is happening, so it would not be metagaming to tell your friends that you feel more healthy and that some of your burns have healed after drinking some of the water, but you don't have to.
After drinking the water, you look to see if you can see anything in the water, but you don't see anything moving about or resting in the clear liquid.
I want to wait a little bit longer before taking you all to the next room.

After drinking he feels something surge through his body and he looks at his arms where some burnmarks are present from before. It almost seems as if the burnmarks are washing off with the water.
Well i, this is the best water ive ever had!he says. Ebokk will take another sip and wash his face with a splash It soothes the burnmarks too.
Everyone who drinks the water may use one or more hit dice like a short rest, but you do not receive any of the other usual short rest benefits such as Erric getting his enthralling performance back. Feel free to linger in the room, but to keep things moving, I'll detail the next part that can be picked up whenever you're ready.
At the end of the longer hall, instead of being magically lit, blazing torches line the walls of this grand hall. It is 30 feet wide as usual, but three times as deep. Ahead of you, a pattern of decorative tiles form a break in the plain stone floor that is typical of The Trap. They would surely be the highlight of this room, if not for the floating monstrosity that hovers just beyond. This, you have no doubt, is the mythical beholder. Twice as big as the green orb you last encountered, this one is red-brown in color. Its round body is reminiscent of a stone statue — it appears chiseled. Horns or tusks or spikes protrude at random places. You're not sure if its lips are pulled back or missing, but a tall row of spine-like, interlaced teeth fills the space below its single eye. And you count at least nine eye stalks.
Seeing his friend partake of the water and sing its praises, Maldorn takes a sip hoping that his burn wounds will also be soothed. Sagitta does not drink or go into the water.

Jambiya does not wish to surprise the beholder, so if it is not looking at them, she will clear her throat quietly. When it sees them, she will sketch a curtsy, "Hello, my name is Jambiya, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance."

Sorry, Maldorn, I meant to hold onto that for the journey down the corridor and forgot. No, your spot-on investigation finds no hint of danger in the corridor. It is longer then the others, but just as benign. It is constructed of magically lit, very smooth stonework.
The beholder, naturally menacing, but not appearing to hold any ill-will toward the party, blinks its central eye at the little goblin girl. "Xynkil," the creature replies in Common. Its voice contains a little gravel, but is mostly clear.
Jambiya will approach the floor tiles to where she can make out what is on them, but no further. "Xynkil," she says, looking up at the monstrosity. "Please do let me know if there is anything we can do for you as we work our way through the Trap. This seems such a... dreary way to spend your time, at least to someone as relatively insignificant as myself."She will look down again at the tiles, multi-tasking.

Maldorn enters the room and circles around in a different direction than that taken by Jambiya. Starting to grow accustomed to finding a beholder in each new room, Maldorn introduces himself while pointing at the goblin girl: "It is a pleasure to meet you. I'm Maldorn, a companion to that one. Is there anything you can tell us about the two heroes behind The Trap?"
He is also looking around to see if there are any still uncovered details on these walls.
Erric waves a friendly hello to the beholder, actually holding off on talking to it after his previous experience. He joins Jambiya to look at the tiles.
The beholder does not respond to Jambiya. What she sees:
The party is on this side.
In response to Maldorn, the beholder says, "I am only here to punish anyone trying to cheat their way past the trial."
The hunter takes a moment to really look around the room. The wall, ceiling and floor appear to be made of the same smooth stone as the other areas they've encountered. The ceiling is 30 feet high. Different here are the column pairs unevenly spaced along the walls and torches burning merrily between. Though the only light sources in the room are the torches, there is still plenty of light.
“So...,” Jambiya thinks aloud. “Do we press, or step on, the tiles in the order we encountered these creatures? With Raman first in each room?” She recites, “Though Raman always led, Grath was never more than a step behind.”
She pulls out the parchment on which she took her notes.
”I think this is the order...”

”Each row is a room!”

"Brilliant, little one! So two people can step on a figure in turns. One sticks to the left side and the other to the right side. The first steps on the goat, then the other person steps on the horse. The first person then moves on to the lion, and after that, the second person steps on the elk, and so on. Watcha think?"
Seeing Jambiya excited to lead the way, Maldorn volunteers to represent Grath.
Sigh. Well, the speed at which you are plowing through this module makes up for the delays between a couple of the others.
Jambiya leaps onto the tile with the goat image, and the tile sinks about an inch into the floor. The party waits, unconsciously bracing themselves for some kind of reaction from the room or the beholder floating before them. After nothing happens, Maldorn takes a breath and steps onto the tile with the horse. Again, the party waits, though not as long before Jambiya does a tiny leap onto the lion tile. Back and forth, the little goblin girl and the hunter take turns crossing in two separate paths across the titles in the order outlined by Jambiya. Each time, the tile sinks about an inch. As Maldorn steps from the tiger tile onto the solid floor beyond, the two paths created by sunken tiles resets, making a solid surface the same height as the floor.
Xynkil floats to the side. "The puzzle has been completed, and the trap has been disarmed. You may continue."
(The tiles no longer sink into the floor when stepped on.)
At the end of this longer-than-usual room, another corridor exits to the right.
Erric still follows Jambiya's path across the tiles she identified. His eyes are in awe of her, and he begins playing his lute, the strains of a melody honoring the brilliance of his friend, the manic pixie goblin dream girl.

Well, seeing this, Jambiya comes back to taste the water herself, cautiously. If it seems fine, she, too, will drink.
