Roselina listens to everyone as they leave, thinking. "Let's report to Rictavio and then leave the town. It's clear that we haven't learned much and can't really learn anymore being here. That woman was hardly much help, don't know why the Vistani thought she would help in us defeating Strahd when she's an ally of his." she would say back to Vrak, quietly saying the last sentence in order to avoid being eavesdropped again.
As you make your way outside, a smiling figure, the vistani from the camp, says "we said no such thing, we said you would find something that would help you. Not that she would be helpful," the man says before vanishing into the Mist, only for a moment later for Rictavio to step out where the figure was. "So, what have you learned" he asks.
"Sorry everyone I couldn't get away to have a proper look around, perhaps we can come back later?" Quil says as he rounds the corner seeing the others leaving the house.
Quil wonders what the strange cryptic Vistani meant. They would find something useful not someone.
"Well all we seem to have learned so far is the Burgomaster is a loon, his son isn't very nice. And the nobles around here have a strand unbending loyalty to Strahd. It's as if they don't want to think about what he has become.
Is it a spell? Or are they truly his allies?
What's our next step I can't believe we've come all the way here and we're just going to leave. If the stupid woman won't help us willing. Well then there are other ways..."
"That is true, there are always other things you can do," Rictavio says. "So, somewhere in that house is something we are going to need to deal with Strahd," he explains. "I don't know where in there it is though - it's a book that Strahd will need to be in possession or he will return after you deal with him," he says.
Roselina had been very surprised when suddenly the Vistani appeared and said that they had told them that they would find something that would help, not that she would help before vanishing and seeing Rictavio. Then she listened as Rictavio mentioned that there is a book in the house they need to deal with Strahd, how Strahd has to be in possession of it or he would return after they dealt with him, thinking. "That explains why she didn't want us going upstairs. Something that important is probably in her bedroom or hidden somewhere upstairs, but we can't be caught by her either. We need her out of the house long enough to get it and get out. During the festival might be the best time since all the citizens here are forced to attend it, so she will be gone for at least a couple of hours." Roselina would say to everyone, though annoyed since it would mean being here longer.
"Tomorrow, during the festival is your chance. The rest of us will attend and you sneak in and get the book. If we are questioned where you are then we will tell them you left overnight. You leave town and find a place to hide close by so you can return during the festival."
And so you all make plans to "attend" the festival tomorrow. Spending another day in the town in the Blue Water Inn, you all gather to prepare for the next day.
Quil spends the day preparing checking his tools and going over the plan to enter the building. He draws a quick sketch of the building along with the access points that he found when he walked around the building along with. A plan of the inside as detailed as possible from when he was able to get away from the group for a time.
"If you can stay quiet and move without being seen. Then perhaps you could assist me. I'm used to working alone. But a friend is always good to have along on a job. Do you have much experience climbing?"
Quilriths normal excited chatter is muted somewhat. He is more serious and focused than you have seen him before.
Sova responds, "I don't have much climbing experience but I can disguise myself as the mistress of the manor if the need arises. Do you think that will help?"
Roselina will look over at Vrakvroth as the other two are talking. "Tomorrow we must make sure to act happy and attract as much good attention as possible. Do you happen to know how to play any instruments or any type of games?" she would quietly ask him.
"I am sorry, but I have no skill in either singing or playing any instruments. These were not things my studies focused on and no ability comes naturally to me either. I will do my best to put a smile on my fierce countenance."
Vrak puts a grin on his dragonborn face that likely looks more maniacal than happy.
Roselina had heard Vrakvroth, seeing his grin as she groaned, shaking her head. "Please, don't do that again. Just act natural and emphasis how much fun you're having at the festival if anyone asks. Also, if anyone asks, you are my knight and bodyguard." she would whisper back to him. God, she hoped that everything goes according to plan and that nothing terrible happens tomorrow.

"Hmmpf, we didn't find anything. This is a depressing place."
Vrak responds.
"That it is" Rictavio responds. "It's been like this for years," he tells you. "Even the festivals are dreary," he says.
Quil wonders what the strange cryptic Vistani meant. They would find something useful not someone.

"Great idea. I'm sure I can get us in when the time is right."
Quil said with a sly wink.

Sova pipes in, "But what do we do if he gets caught? Surely we can't believe that this woman who hates the Burgomaster, would attend his festivals?"
"She will. Everyone attends. She has gone to the others, she will go to this one as well."
