Unamused by your conversation Bozak stands and says “Vim, Vau, it’s been a long day.. shall we? I bid you all a goodnight”.
(He exits with Vim and Vau in tow).
Just for clarification: I intended that Alten asked for the Company meeting after Bozak left. I don't think he would be uncouth enough to make those statements in front of his employer.
But if people want it to be in front of Bozak, I can roll with it.
[ Ah, didn't read it that way. No worries, he makes his exit prior to your convo, says the same thing minus the awkwardness.]

I also thought Bozak had left. Shake would never have invoked Bozak's name if he were still there and could contradict him.
So I take it, you also think he's also earned a share of what Bozak paid us to recover the wand?
How? By getting captured, stuck in a cage, and being rescued by us? By hiding in the tunnel while we fought whatever that last thing was? By implying he's going to tell people I'm possessed or some kind of monster? Well hells, if that's the case, I think we should divide it up by seven or eight or nine. What about Corky's share and Meepo's and the goblin chief who we worked with. Do they each get a share?
If I get out voted, then I get out voted. I won't argue it any more. But I don't think he's "earned" anything and I think the Company should decide, instead of him assuming.
Looking at the others.
What about the rest of you? It's one for and one against at this point.

Shake rolls his eyes. "Alten, please calm down. As I said when you rescued me, and several times afterwards, I do not want any of the money that you earned from Bozak. While I may have helped you kill Belak and put my life on the line several times afterwards with you, I realize that I was not a part of the original contract and that I owe you all for saving me. We're even." Shake looks at the group sincerely before adopting a more playful demeanor. "That said, if you let me aide you in the upcoming quest then I hope to share in the rewards that follow. I think that is fair."
OOC Alten's being pretty matter of fact. He's not angry or emotibal. I think he already suspects that the others are going to out vote him once Grom indicated his position.

"This is a lot of money. I think Shake has earned some, but maybe not as much as the rest of us? What if we give him half of what Chatra would have gotten if Chatra hadn't been, you know, a thing that tried to kill us. And with the other half, we can buy supplies for the whole group for our upcoming journey? Does that seem fair?"
"I have not known him as long as I walked away," Arxius mutters. "Which - if you want to dock my cut for that, fair is fair. He does seem useful. Not as loud as most Bards. I do not know when you were last in the mountains, but the more people who can heal the better. In my opinion. The idea of a cut for group supplies seems smart."

Three to one. Even if Talien agrees with me, the ayes have it. Ok, I abide.
Next thing, we’re going into a “more dangerous” job and into some legendary, lost dwarfhold. I think part of our challenge over the past few of days was lack of familiarity, discipline and an undefined leadership structure. We’re getting more familiar with each other. I doubt discipline is a realistic goal with this group’s . . . unique. . . makeup. But leadership is something we can do and agree on [hopefully].
I think Grom should act as our leader and spokesperson for this mission. I’m pretty sure he’s the oldest and he’s got to have the most experience with Dwarves and Dwarfholds.
Talien looks at his shield and begins to polish it as everyone squabbles over money. He takes his share of gold and places it in a sack in his pack once the agreement is made. He then begins to use tools from his pack to engrave designs on his shield seeming to ignore the party unless they specifically ask him a question.

"I'm perfectly content to defer to Grom in this,"Rees agreed.
Shake's eyes mist over as he looks at his companions. "Thank you for allowing me to join your group. And thank you so much for your amazing generosity. I will use the money you share with me to get better supplies to help in our quest." Nodding his head he adds, "Also, I agree that Grom seems like a natural choice to lead us. Moreover, I trust his judgment and wisdom implicitly."
Grom's normal pale complexion and stout stature fade to a blush and embarrassment...
"Well soo be it then.. Lets all get some Sleep tonight in a real bed, in a warm enviorment, and we will rap up all our business here tomorrow and start heading north."
"Also, i will be getting payment tomorrow for the return of the rings from the kids, and that should give us more then enough gold into the party fund. to help fund our trip north."
"so for the remainder of the Night lets enjoy our much deserved time off, and relax, sleep, be marry what ever you might want and lets, get back after it tomorrow morning!"
Shake is brimming with excitement, not to mention a healthy amount of ale and Ashardalon's Fire. With a huge grin but tired eyes he says, "I cannot wait to get started. I desperately need to clean myself, then I am going to sleep. Again, thank you guys for including me in this latest adventure." With that he runs off to the bathing room.
I think it is still early evening? If the party is splitting up and it isn't too late, Alten will head out of the tavern. Assuming my timing isn't too off
I'm going to head out and see if Corky is at the temple and take in a little of the festival. Does anyone want to come along?

"all i said was is that he has earned the right to come along with us going forward... I never said anything about any money..."
"I would greatly appropriate it if you stop putting words in my mouth..." I think young shake here is deserving of something..."
"he did help, its not like he ran off at the first sign of danger... which he very well could have done... "

No. I think it was at the third or fourth sign.
Shaking his head.
Nope, I’ll stop. I’ve said my piece. What say the rest of you?
And Grom, I wasn’t trying to put words in your mouth. I just followed up with the next reasonable question, based on what you said.
