((Anders, I will roll this time if only for the sake of not stall-starting a post, but you may roll religion as part of a prayer. Its a feature my sorcerer of Bahamut did in another campaign, and can lead to positive results. So THis time I'll roll, but if you're hoping to get more out of it than RP flavor roll a religion roll + modifiers after any prayers. This can also, technically apply to Saazar and Ryner - and no it's not in the homebrewed rules, but its one I will allow since I have had fun with it in the past, just didnt think of it until now))

Once more anders feels warmth permeate him, as his divine senses burst forth just after his prayer. Lathanders mind touches Anders and through brief, cryptic images, Anders see's a goblin, taller, and lankier than the others, wearing beads, coins, teeth, feathers, and other such accouterments. A staff in hand, on a high place, that Anders doesn't recognize, but feels is near. In another, a shadow, a much larger beast, though its purpose and existence are shrouded. It does, however, look fierce.. powerful. It too is nearby. A deal to be made, or a risk to be taken? Regardless, danger looms within the shadows of the tunnels.
The wolf remains unconscious, and slightly less dirty, though it is still malnutritioned. It probably would have a week at best before it simply starved outright.
As the day grows brighter, a little more of the tunnel can be seen.
Ryner, still waiting for the others, giving them some time before he does something (possibly) crazy, pulls out one of his rations and has a meal, saving some for the wolf if it wakes up.
(OoC: I have to ask, because of that nonsense in the OoC chat, but what gender is this wolf?)
As Ander murmers his prayer to Lathander as he reaches out with his now divinely attuned senses, the vision washes through his mind, finally leaving the young paladin breathless and in awe. NEVER had he felt the responding presence of his god as strongly as he did just now. Surely this was a sign from the Dawn Father that his humble servant was indeed doing pleasing deeds and on the right path of service.
Desiring to share his new insights, Ander turns to both Ryner and Salazar to say with undisguised excitement in his voice,'
"I... I reached out with my senses, as I have done dozens of times before, asking humbly for direction or some sign of what lies before me... and I was answered, REALLY answered this time. It was... incredible. I was shown another goblin, this one a chieftan or shaman maybe. Wielding a staff. But I also saw something larger, more fearsome... though I could not get a good look at its face. The feeling that I was left with as my senses returned to me was of... possible compromise. But a possible compromise loaded with severe risk! I do not know what this portends yet, but I shall consider it further as we continue.
Are you both ready?"
[OOC] Should I roll a religion check every prayer (cause Ander does that a LOT, lol) or just when I use my divine sense?
Did Ryner and Salazar swap armour, because if so and Salazar is hanging back at the rear of the party, Ander will be keeping a careful eye on their companion.
*OMG - I have angered the dice gods and must make amends. I do not fancy Ander's chances of escaping these caves alive, lol. Apologies to all he takes down with him! >_<

Grimacing with each noising step that he makes, Ander moves towards the back of the wolve's cave, where it looks like a pile of rubble (?) rests against the back wall. The young paladin will carefully poke through and examine the pile of rubble.

Even as Anders speaks, he was so enveloped by being answered directly, even if only lightly, to notice initially. But the response from his divine sense finally triggered in his mind. Registering powerfully. He could sense a singularly evil entity within, though it was not divine, fiend or fey itself, it gave off a sickening aura of britality and evil in it's own right. Anders eyes still glowing, pass over Salazar. Salazar registers as grey, but good. A split... detected within the cowardly scholar. At the last second, Anders eyes pass over Ryner. Ryner is eclipsed. Ryner himself is a white dwarf surrounded by an abyssal entity. Shrouded in deception, control, power, lust, greed, desire, ambition, hatred, rage, and anger. While Ryner himself seemed a pawn within it's schemes. As if Ryner had simply stumbled across something forbidden, ancient, and evil. The entity looked back at Anders. A crooked, fanged smile sensed within the abyssal shadow and flame, Anders spirit, feeling as though it had been punched in the gut, before the divine sense finally dispersed entirely.
(I forget, who is your patron Ryner? I see it in your notes but I can't find anything on them, and I'm very familiar with MOST of Faeruns pantheon, Please give me a summary since I can find nothing on your chosen 'patron')
Ryner notices Ander's stares and glares at him slightly, "What?"
(OoC: sure thing, I'll PM you)
"Sorry if I stare, Ryner. I was caught up in the residual vision granted by my diety. I am... unsure exactly what it means, but I will let you know as soon as I achieve enlightenment."
The young golden-haired warrior looks troubled by something, however, not deigning to hide the fact, but clearly not ready to discuss whatever it is that is bothering him either.
[OOC] All good on the prayer thing. He'll do a lot of praying before battle, exploring dangerous places, attempting challenging tasks, etc. This time I was just combining the wording with my divine sense. I like the effort that you are going to to expand on abilities, etc. It really does add a huge amount of flavour to the game, so thanks!

Because you can add equipment at your leisure at any point technically. You'd just have to remove the leather armor from your inventory, assuming Ryner would have been up for the trade in the first place. But moving on..)
Whether it was simply a 'no', or a case of the offer being brushed off, Salazar bounces back quickly for a brief bout of disappointment. He stays at least 10 feet behind the others with shield and javlin in hand. As much as Ander's enthusiasm appeared to irk him before, all is brushed aside in light of the new insight. No envy ever enters the equation as the scholar appeared more concerned on following along behind the others, rubbing his chin in deep thought over the initial Intel. It is not until Ander's began looking at him and Ryner funny that he even remotely came back to reality long enough to show concern.
"One can only hope and pray this enlightenment is something to acquire far off into the future then."Salazar nonchalantly comments. "As much as many in our unique positions may appreciates genuine miracles bestowed upon them by their gods. There is a reason why there is the saying 'One can have too much of a good thing'." And if it involves the gods, all the more reason to be wary." He frowns and rubs at the back of his neck, then turns to the small "stream" from back which they came from. "Anyhow. We should probably press on. I... will be right behind you."

As the group makes their way back into the caves, the light extends just far enough to faintly make out the fact that much farther ahead, perhaps another.... fifty feet, give or take, there is a bridge, though crudely made, across an area about twenty feet above the cavern floor, barely visible against the darker shadows beyond. The stream trickles ever onward, with all the ferocity of a strong trickle, just enough to coat the floor half it covers with a few inches of water, and no more.
After passing the wolf and worg area a bit of rubble, at a 45* angle on the left side of the stream is noticeable, as well as some faint firelight coming from the farthest back area of the worg pen, though it looks as though the area is elevated.
Which direction does the party go, and what do they try to do.
"Why would one not wish for enlightenment, Salazar? This world is a mysterious place, and we mere mortals are doomed to ever know but a tiny fraction of its truths. We are fortunate that the gods of good sometimes deign in their benevolence to share their eternal knowledge and wisdom with us. At least, such is how I feel and what I have always been taught."
Shifting clumsily through the rubble with his guantleted hands, Ander discovers little more than a facefull of stone dust that causes an involuntary sneeze. Hearing what sounds like booted feet up in the distance somewhere at the top of the natural chimney, the young paladin attempts to quietly move to the wall beside the chimney, clutching a javelin in hand ready to throw it at any hostile that appears at the top of the chimney.
[OOC] Re post #190 Ander is already failing at poking through the rubble at the back of the wolf pen area (I could see it on the map, hence my posted action). I will edit this post once I know what I don't find, lol.

Anders makes his way towards the rubble near the back of the wolf kenneling area. Canid feces covers the majority of the floor, leaving in it's wake an ever egregious stench, both old and new. Anders makes it to the hole, and he puts his hand against the side, loosing dust and debris, that despite his helmet, manages to fall into his eyes and mouth, forcing him to cough and blink as it settles over his face.
Above a curious grunt is heard, followed by some shuffling, and what then sounds like steps approaching the top of the natural chimney that rises about 30 feet up.
Anders, I need a DC 15 ATH or ACR check if you intend not to be seen.

Seeing the goblin's face appear at the top of the shaft, Ander releases his javelin which sails up the chimney with deadly accuracy. Not waiting to hear the grunt of the creature struck by his thown missile, the worried paladin ducks back behind the wall and looks to his two companions, saying,'
"A goblin. Top of the chimney. I think I hit it with my javelin, but it definitely saw me. We might have company soon, friends."

Anders almost gets out of visibility, but is just a second or two too late to be avoided of notice. A goblinoid squeals in surprise, as it spots the motion, Anders reacting with his javelin, attempting to chuck it up the shaft properly. The goblin just BARELY within it's normal range, and the hole just large enough to not impose disadvantage, the firelight illuminating the goblin enough that Anders could see it's shadow to strike at.
Do what your character would do, and roll for damage, but not initiative.
The goblin is hit straight through it's gazing eye. It sputters for a moment, before falling headfirst down the chimney. 13 making only slight noise as it did so. Falling in a heap at Anders feet even as he informs the group. 16 However that slight noise was enough to be noticed by other creatures atop the natural chimney. A few smaller steps, and a single pair of much larger, much heavier steps follow behind them. You have enough time to react before they will reach the 'hole' to look down. What actions do you take? This is also where I'll need to pause since I need everyones reactions.
Watching what just happened, Ryner puts down the wolf in the side of the room, and draws his blade. Hand ready to fire a E. Blast, and in a half squat in preparation to lunge forward.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Doubting his ability to climb the chimney quickly or quietly, and not liking his chances if he is caught mid-way up, Ander abandons his first inclination to try to close with what are likely more approaching enemies. Instead, the paladin gives a hand-signal to Salazar and Ryner indicating more enemies above and then moves forward to wrench his thrown javelin from the head of the dead goblin, crouches down near a wall for partial cover and gets ready to throw the javelin again as soon as he sees an enemy appear.
