(OOC: Well then I think that settles it.) Tiro speaks to the first mate: "From our earlier chat, you seem like a reasonable person. Can we trust you - and your other shipmate - to keep the boat safe here until our return?"

Can we trust you - and your other shipmate - to keep the boat safe here until our return?"Tiro asks the First Mate
"Well you did the right thing by me and the other crew members in not killing us I 'spose?" he replies "we've probably got enough food on board to last about a week so I reckon we can 'ang around that long" thinking to himself "I couldn't sail this beast with only one other crew member anyway!'"We talk about adequate compensation after you return,"he finishes with.
"Well that seems to have settled it then, seems we are all going to meet the Queen. I've never met a queen before, so this should be an interesting adventure" says Griff, before continuing. "And since I don't speak lizard, so there's no chance I can put my foot in it!"
The he starts singing to himself, as he goes off to prepare for the journey...
"We're off to see the lizards, the wonderful Queen of the lizards We hear she is the Queen of a liz, if ever a liz there was If ever, oh ever a liz there was, the Queen of the lizards is one because Because, because, because, because, because…"
Gilly was just about to join Griff on his flute when Tiro made his jibe. The firbolg responds by making a rude noise with his lips at the triton. "Don't listen to him," he grins at Griff. "Sing another verse!" He puts his instrument to his lips and prepares to accompany the song.
Tiro winks at Gilly, then takes himself to the foredeck where he sits down, leaning back on the rails closes his eyes and listens to the sound of the waves gently lapping against the bow while contemplating the actions of the morrow.

Encouraged by Gilly, Griff belts out another verse in his best singing voice (which is akin to the sound 2 badgers would make when mating in a dumpster)..
"Because of the wonderful things she does,
We're off to see the lizards, the wonderful Queen of the lizards We hear she is the Queen of a liz, if ever a liz there was If ever, oh ever a liz there was, the Queen of the lizards is one because Because, because, because, because, because…"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Gilly skillfully plays his flute along with Griff, adding enough harmonies to help hide the human's less-than-stellar singing prowess. The bard is clearly enjoying the song, even if others are not.
At the end of the stressful day, Tiro prepares his gear for the visit to the Lizardfolk, and hunkers down to rest (watch shifts as per post #1097 if no objections). In the morning we load the boat with the weapons & electrum ingots, climb in and Gilly rows us to where we dropped off the lizardmen. We all keep a watchful eye out for anything untoward as we approach the swamp.

(MUTTER, MUTTER - unstable internet got me again and didn't save post)
After a night of carousing and singing which some enjoyed more than others the crew sleep. You’ve got an additional 350lbs plus to take to the shore in the longboat so it will take several trips, Eventually by about lunchtime you get all the weapons, electrum ingots, yourselves and your personal equipment to the sand spit.
How would you like to proceed?

Griff says "I can carry another 100lbs, so probably easiest to just distribute it among ourselves. The boats a good idea, while we go through water/swamp, but at some stage I reckon we will need to carry it anyway. Plus, if we have to leave in a hurry, we probably want the boat back here ready to go, rather than having to drag it back through miles of swamp."

Hallard will follow the group then but he will struggle with his lame leg!

So, do we need to figure out how to carry 350lbs plus to the Queen, or is that taken care of?
Yup

Zin wipes his brow after the morning of work. "So which way now?" He says as he pulls his bow out.
By my count, I'm carrying 78lb, and can carry up to 225lb (15*strength by PHB). If everyone is similar, we've got this covered.
"Hey guys, it may be easier to leave the stuff in the longboat and drag/carry it. Thrash, how far is it to the Lizardfolk?"
As he looks around the team, he adds "Hallard, is your leg waterproof?"

"There was a stream that we followed back," Gilly says. He looks at Thrash. "Can we row to wherever the queen is or at least most of the way?"
"Well we could row upstream for about half a mile but we'll still have to slog our way through the marsh for about a mile" Thrash replies
