However long the group has spent in even the outer fringes of the forest is apparently too long for one of its members. Because Biri starts looking at the passing patrol of knights with undue suspicion and a tightening grasp on her surface.
Arcana: 11 to see if Biri can recall anything about the Jackleweres habits/usual territory.

(The previous map is for the War Boys, not totally accurate right now but will be using it in future encounter as well for the others. And most combat is decided by the averages of the enemies versus the players. So it will always either be players or enemy first.)
Jackalweres have the ability to transform into humans, tending to look gaunt and poor, to seem harmless and pitiful. They're also able to transform to their animal counterpart and a special hybrid form as well. They tend to travel and attack in packs, either of its kind or other jackals.
The knights give a curt nod back but shake their head as to any inquiries of the beasts. They state that they're to only patrol the perimeter and deal with any threats that may come from the forest, not to head in themselves. They do tell of a few dire wolves that have tried to come out but were repelled back.
(So I will update the map once significant actions have occurred.)
(Such as Latirus and Alter both killing the current goblins before the group. And since it has occurred during your team's turn, anyone that has targeted those goblins are free to change their action. So that'll make Black Cat, Davar, Kierro and Rolend left to act for the round.)
With a flurry of slashes, Latirus cuts down the goblin before him. And just as the other goblin was about to react, he is met with a ball of fire as Alter's aim is more precise this time.
"Thanks for the warning..." Kosh turns to head deeper into the woods. If anyone continues pleasantries, he'll wait, but it doesn't seem like they have anything he wants.

[BAKREAG - BURLE]
Bakreag Ironheart wandered about the great keep of Burle, still in wonder of the grand bastion of light. In life, he was seasoned, however for a Dwarf, he was just still in his young adult years, and so saw everything as some great challenge and brand new experience. Making his way to the bounty board, he observed it for anything he found particularly intriguing.
Bakreag would like to scan the area for possible partners.
(alpha noobs war boys post) Rolend sees that the only live goblin is well ahead, so decides not to pursue. "I don't think we can stop it. I'm worried that following it will lead us into an ambush with its gang... Or maybe, it will bring back the 2 goons that made the larger tracks. If we are sticking around, we should set up an ambush of our own."
For the moment, Rolend starts collecting goblin ears for the bounty (post #12). "I hope none of these were missing a left ear. If we come across such a goblin, still alive, then no attack spells, and physical attacks should be non lethal." (post #13)

Biri hesitates for a moment, but follows after requesting from the guard any details about the Dire Wolves habit and last known general location of the encounter. Later and once Biri felt the group had moved a comfortable distance out of earshot of one another, her placid expression turns into one of anger as she says, "You-..." She jabs a finger at Kosh. "Will do well to remember that not all are as keen on having their mental space so rudely invaded as such. If I had not caught on in time, I may have thought some other presence sought to undermine us, and made a scene." She crosses her arms, and huff such a freezing breathe, it came out as a visibly cool mist cloud.
"However, as I am feeling magnanimous and found this ability of yours useful, we can leave it at that. For now."She takes off her glasses and starts cleaning it. As she does so, Irib flutters off to follow the knights in secret from the trees. "Now, you asked earlier if the knights were a trap? My answer remains unchanged. Unless the jackalwares in these woods have decide to change tactics to garner new victims, those wretches prefer to make themselves look more pathetic to lure in prey than otherwise. And I imagine there's been enough 'incidents' to where the knights at least have taken measures to avoid being so easily undermined."
The white-scaled turns to look off in the direction deeper into the woods. "But we should err on the side of caution all the same when dealing with them while in the forest."
"Hail, knights-errant! How goes the hunting?" Maelyn shouts at the approaching knights, waving a hand high in the air to get their attention.

Kosh raises his sword in a salute to the knights, "How goes it good sirs? We're hunting beasts of the forest. Seen any about?"
He reaches out at the same time to Biri, telepathically, if she lets him in he asks quietly, ~Trap?~
((Spending a reaction to let Biri speak back))
Latrius unsheathes his second sword, and moves forward in a mini whirlwind of death.
