During the intervening 2 years, Thomas works at making even more magical progress, enhancing all the allied connections around the country with knowledge and power, better enabling every one of the United Cities of America to defend against the barbaric PPA and other similar foes. He creates a number of scrolls with various, powerful magic on it for use on their adventures. (14 total levels of scrolls - 1 x Life Transference (@4th), 1 x Conjure Minor Elementals (4th) , 1x Tiny Hut (3rd), 1x Magic Circle (3rd))
OOC - He'd like to research Arcane Eye, Polymorph, Hallucinatory Terrain, Conjure Minor Elementals, Private Sanctum, and Secret Chest in that order, based on the "Must be longer than 1 round duration" limits.
OOC - Normal Ritual casting times are 1 minute per spell level still, except for healing correct?
This is for everyone: As each level is in effect an adventure the limit on scrolls and potions is per adventure. You don't get to replace them until after the adventure finishes. As you go up a level you redo your items 'for free' so you can change the potions and scrolls at that time.
For Thomas, Doc has taken Polymorph and improved invisibility so you can trade with him for those. You get two so Arcane eye and Hallucinatory terrain.
All spell casting (non healing) is 1 minute per level. Healing is 1 hour per level
For having permanent spell scrolls, what level spells are we limited to? Level 3 or 4?
You can have scrolls
Spell level of scrolls available
Levels 1-5 caster level x 1
Levels 6-10 caster level x 2
Levels 11-15 caster level x 3
Level 16+ caster level x 4
Creation time 1 day per spell level
Casting time one round per spell level or for healing 1 minute/spell level
and you can have two spells made permanent. As your spell list is limited this is not that useful at the moment but you could, for example, have a permanent Protection from Poison you can cast it on yourself so it is always useful. Things like Healing Spirit are far less useful as it has a limited movement rate, much less than that of a horse or even you moving overland so you couldn't bring it with you when you travel. A permanent concentration spell is still a concentration spell and has all the inherent limitations.
Blaize slips back into the wilderness for the next 2 years, becoming a doctor or some sort. He has reforged his armor and weapons, started studying magic, and refreshed his list of scrolls and potions. He slowly built up his reputation, helping the poor and unfortunate and cast lesser restoration, curing them for free. Such kindness is restrained by one problem: the time it takes to cast healing spells. So often he had to work overtime, starving on some days, and his place crowded with the sick and the weak. Some days he would wonder around in town or study and try to become more powerful.
OOC: What level spell scrolls are we allowed? Level 4?
Potions:
Blaize will take a potion of greater healing, potion of fire breath and a philter of love

Would that be 4th level in this case?

Fire bolt- Shoot a streaking ball of fire towards a foe and deal a measly 1d10 fire damage. Use eldritch blast instead.
Fireball - Drawing magic from your inner reserves, you unleash a devastating nuke that explodes in a circle, hitting multiple enemies, and burning them to a crisp with a godly amount of 8d6 fire damage. Make your DM’s fights look like garbage. It’s also a nice way of TPK your entire party and have them triggered at you for the rest of the week.

You can only cast 2nd level spells or less. You have no 4th level spells.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Sullivan will take 2 potions, Potion of Invulnerability (rare), and Oil of Slipperiness. (Uncommon)
Im a bit confused about the permanent spells. Are they spells that do not require casting, or they are just automatically prepared?
Another question, how many pieces of equipments can we reforge to make +1?
Regarding scrolls, if he can, Sullivan will make 3 Armor of Agathys scrolls, 4 Aid scrolls, and 3 Shield of Faith scrolls.
Other than that, he will try to establish Krampus as a god and try to build a temple for him in a dense forest. He would also start attracting some followers and building an order-like organization based in the temple. Finally, he will try to contact Krampus himself and see if he needs something done.
Scrolls can't be permanent because... they're scrolls. Goodberry can't be permanent because it has a duration of Instantaneous.
A permanent Pass without Trace
This can be permanent but remember what I said; permanent concentration spells are still concentration spells and are subject to all the limitations as normal
Concentration
Some spells require you to maintain concentration in order to keep their magic active. If you lose concentration, such a spell ends.
If a spell must be maintained with concentration, that fact appears in its Duration entry, and the spell specifies how long you can concentrate on it. You can end concentration at any time (no action required).
Normal activity, such as moving and attacking, doesn't interfere with concentration. The following factors can break concentration:
Casting another spell that requires concentration. You lose concentration on a spell if you cast another spell that requires concentration. You can't concentrate on two spells at once.
Taking damage. Whenever you take damage while you are concentrating on a spell, you must make a Constitution saving throw to maintain your concentration. The DC equals 10 or half the damage you take, whichever number is higher. If you take damage from multiple sources, such as an arrow and a dragon's breath, you make a separate saving throw for each source of damage.
Being incapacitated or killed. You lose concentration on a spell if you are incapacitated or if you die.
If you lose concentration on your permanent spell it takes an action to bring it back up
Following scrolls made:
3 Healing spirits = 6 levels
1 Locate Objects = 2 levels
3 Hunter’s mark = 2 levels
2 Fog cloud = 2 levels
2 Barkskin = 4 Levels
1 Spike growth = 2 levels
2 Lesser restoration = 4 levels
That's 22 levels of spell, you are limited to 14 as per my previous posting
Spell level of scrolls available
Levels 1-5 caster level x 1
Levels 6-10 caster level x 2
Levels 11-15 caster level x 3
Level 16+ caster level x 4
Creation time 1 day per spell level
Casting time one round per spell level or for healing 1 minute/spell level
Also, if i can, i want to inscribe some spells in my wizard spellbook. Here is the order i want to inscribe first:
Charm person (Takes half time due to School of Enchantment), Disguise Self, Alarm, Distort Value, Silent Image.
Sullivan will take 2 potions, Potion of Invulnerability (rare), and Oil of Slipperiness. (Uncommon)
Im a bit confused about the permanent spells. Are they spells that do not require casting, or they are just automatically prepared?
No, their duration becomes 'permanent'. A perfect example is Magic Weapon. It is permanent but as it is a concentration spell you have to take an action to concentrate again if you've stopped for any reason - such as sleeping or casting some other concentration spell. As there is no limit on casting spells that you know the control for abuse is concentration.
Another question, how many pieces of equipment can we reforge to make +1?
Sword, bow, armour and shield. (No ammunition) The mechanics of the normal game assumes that as time goes on characters will gain + magic items. As there are no magic items having non-magical high quality equipment will help but it will never get better than +1.
Regarding scrolls, if he can, Sullivan will make 3 Armor of Agathys scrolls, 4 Aid scrolls, and 3 Shield of Faith scrolls.
I assume you are creating the Armor of A... scrolls as 2nd level spells. That adds up to 13 levels so yes. You can do one more level of spell scroll.
Other than that, he will try to establish Krampus as a god and try to build a temple for him in a dense forest. He would also start attracting some followers and building an order-like organization based in the temple. Finally, he will try to contact Krampus himself and see if he needs something done.
If you can give me a rundown of what Krampus is the god of (I only know the name as some sort of Christmas joke) he may have something for you to do. If something occurs to me do you want a DM or will it be for public consumption.

With these rules on two additional permanents available
Being Thomas, if he can 'improve' the TAC armour to +1, he'll do so. Otherwise, permanent Greater Invisibility and Alter Self.
No, the tactical armour is a special case. It's high tech construction means that 'modern' method can't change anything.
Greater Invisibility becomes permanent. It is cast on you or someone you touch. I'm assuming you. It is a concentration spell so to reactivate it after concentration ends is an action. And all concentration limitations are in force. Happy with that?
Works for me. I noticed Alter Self is also a concentration, so make the second a permanent Darkvision.

Oops sorry my mistake
Scrolls:
3 Healing Spirits
2 Lesser restoration
1 Barkskin
1 Darkvision
Spells i want to copy v2 (I copy it off Thomas’s spellbook)
Flame arrows, Tiny hut, Life Transference, Charm Person, Disguise self
OOC: Is Fire Arrows a spell? Can’t seem to find it
Edit: It’s third level spell Flame Arrows
Alright, then Sullivan will make Shield of Faith permanent, and if he can Spiritual Weapon as well.
He will also upgrade his equipment to +1, meaning his rapier, shield and armour.
Ill send you a PM about Krampus.
Only two permanent spells until you reach 9th level then you can get another. Note your character sheet with details.
Good
