Aleister reminds folks that he can wander around on walls and ceilings with a fair degree of stealth and, that if he were under the umbrella of a Pass Without Trace spell, virtually undetectable.
"I think we need to concern ourselves with how the people we are are 'liberating' will react to a bunch of strangers, armed to the teeth, who come sneaking into their bedchambers in the dark of night, claiming to be there to rescue them and reunite them with the devoted husband/father. One would think that if he is so brainwashed, they will also be rather difficult to convince about the 'error of their ways'. This does not promise to be an easy task at any point during the event." He shakes his head ruefully, "Maybe we should just render them senseless and then, once we have them safely away, work on de-programing them. And, I rather suspect, we do not want to be around here when we do that; her *****ship is going to leave no stone unturned, no politician un-pressured." He grins broadly, "In fact, I'd say she is going to be rather pissed! Love it!"
Good point. You can put a bag over their heads and carry them of. Hit them in the head - and carry them of. Spin a yarn persuasion - and carry them of. If you could cast a silence - and carry them of. Use intimidation - and carry them of.
Conor chimes in when Aleister raises this "I can also create an area of silence if needed, but probably at the expense of obscuring our passage" Conor can us Ki to cast Silence but may have to drop pass without trace to do so....not sure if both can be maintained at the same time
They are both concentration so not at the same time.
"Blaize has the stealth field covered. Thomas and I will fly everyone in and then you can keep them quiet," Sarah suggests.
We have a plan. Then lets go before my computer crashes for the third time this morning. I am hopefully getting a phone call in the next couple of hours to say that the parts have arrived then I am without PC until tomorrow afternoon.
Sarah's familiar sneaking around the house sends the message "Mother and children are in the upstairs bedroom."
Who has fly on them? Sarah and Thomas plus two others? Conor can use his ki ability to cast silence without the normal casting time issues, it doesn't move and there are line of sight issues unless he is up at the window. If Blaize is there for his pass without trace that seems to be the four flying. Unless one or more of the casters stay on the ground and put the spell on more muscular types.
Thomas nods "Let's do this. I will monitor the site and as soon as Lady Sarah and hopefully her head mook goes out for longer than an hour, we go in."
Using Arcane Eye, Thomas will remotely patrol the building for just such an occasion. When it occurs, he will Fly two people at a time up to the bedroom, with Gamliel as a spider-rider on the shoulder of someone willing. If needed, he can cast Fly or other spells through his familiar, while he stays hidden within range, outside, in the Ghillie suit. He is not going to fly, as he can maintain concentration on the flyers, even if they get into combat.
“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar

Max "Conor should be in the first group to stop the glass-breaking scream when the knight's wife sees four people coming in through a second story window."
"Sounds good. I'll be ready with my crossbow, in case something goes sideways."

"What is the survivors name?" Aleister wonders. "Might help ease the upcoming tenseness, well, perhaps brief tenseness before they "slip into unconsciousness", to quote Jim Morrison." He makes sure everything is securely strapped down, no loose things to rattle and tattle.

I'm sure I posted a name way back when but I'm too lazy to look. His name is Rodrigo Díaz de Viva
So Max and Conor, Blaize and... Aleister? Fly up to the window over the heads of the patrolling guards. As is almost always the case, people don't look up. You come to the window and sneak a look in. Lady de Viva is on the bed with a cloth over her eyes and the children are playing together, some sort of colourful card game.
OOC: On the presumption that Silence references a point in space, and cannnot be cast on a person or object....DM to rule otherwise
He does remark to the others "It makes sense for me to go up there, the area of silence covers about a 20ft circle and I can hold it for 10 minutes or so, so be aware it will only help us in any reaction they make on seeing us. To move them we are going to have to pursuade them not to cry out or knock them senseless. Once it is up we won't be able to speak to them unless I drop it, so if we want to communicate I suggest someone scribble a note that we can show them, perhaps stating that we are here at Rodrigo's request to bring them to him as he fears for their safety given the situation"
OOC: A note in Rodrigo's handwriting might provide us with a credible reason for her to trust us. Should someone try to get him to write a note, or would that just put us in jeopardy if he is loyal to the PPA and can warn them somehow? Ignore this if it just seems to add risk.
OOC: Conor's intent, given that they know where the family is located is to centre the Silence on a point in the room containin the family that will include the current position of the wife and kids AND the window they intend to go through at the earliest line of sight opportunity. That way, if needed, the team can just smash through the window silently with speed whilst not alerting the family or the guards with any noise, of course seeing a window smash silenty might cause them so concern.
OOC: Just for clarity - what time of the evening is it (assuming that we waited for darkness).
Fire bolt- Shoot a streaking ball of fire towards a foe and deal a measly 1d10 fire damage. Use eldritch blast instead.
Fireball - Drawing magic from your inner reserves, you unleash a devastating nuke that explodes in a circle, hitting multiple enemies, and burning them to a crisp with a godly amount of 8d6 fire damage. Make your DM’s fights look like garbage. It’s also a nice way of TPK your entire party and have them triggered at you for the rest of the week.

The diplomatic meeting runs from 9AM to 4PM so somewhere in there. You don't want to wait till darkness because Lady Sandra and here pet assassin will be in residence. Unless you want to risk it so that you can enter in darkness with most people asleep. A look at the window shows that it is latched.
OOC: Guess this really will be a smash and grab ;) Under silence smashing the window won't be heard, at least. Hmm, probably should have checked for traps magical and otherwise, though.
Before the group flies up there, can Gamliel will crawl up and guide Thomas' invisible Mage Hand to unlatch the window, by moving it through any small opening?

The replacement parts arrived late yesterday so we decided to wait till Monday to drop the computer in so I could use it over the weekend. Man plans, God laughs. This morning it was crashing every 10 minutes and then it decided that it would finally die. So, I’ll drop it in at 9 this morning and get it back late Monday or early Tuesday.

Is it invisible? As it’s a pain in my butt doing typing on an iPad I’ll give you this for free. Thomas manages to get the window unlatched. What now?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC - The Mage Hand by the Arcane Trickster is invisible.
Thomas says to the group. "Ready to fly, Peter Pan and Wendy? The window is unlatched, for now. " And then casts Fly on the two chosen targets. Gamliel rides the shoulder of one of them, before the invisibility spell takes effect so he gets included. Now visible as he concentrates on the fairy dust spell, Thomas hides in the woods near the house, crossbow ready.

As I’ve known for years the universe hates me. The repair lady and I had both forgotten that Monday is a public holiday. So I probably won’t get the computer back till Wednesday

"Let's get going, then," Sarah agrees.
In preparation she casts the spell on Max and Connor. She then ducks into cover and hides, ready if trouble occurs.
Stealth: 25

OOC: Yes i get terms confused :/
