Phanuel watches the two faithful depart to execute the cleric's child and sighs.  He walks over to the two elves and gestures to space beside them, asking permission to sit.

After fending off two more strikes Elyse continues her assault on the creature.

Attack: 21 Advantage: 18 Damage: 8

(If it hits, Divine Smite: 11)

(Does Elyse have any spell slots left?)

(Whoops you're right, not sure what I was thinking. Take out that damage.)

(No problem)

Elyse connects with the spawn, but her strike fails to do as much damage as she had hoped.

(Fair warning, this campaign has a decent number of monsters with resistance to non-magical/non-silvered weapons. Keep that in mind)

Fae nods in response to Phanuel's request, not moving from where she's snuggled against her brother. She turns and fixes her eyes on the door Hadrian and Elyse went out.

Hadrian, noticing that Elyse's weapon isn't having desired effect, first casts chill touch and then draws the silvered shortsword. 

"Perhaps this will have a better effect?" He mutters to himself. 

Spell Attack: 19 Damage: 4 necrotic

Hadrian's spell once again connects, but the power of undeath still only does half as much damage against the spawn.

The spawn continues to attack Elyse

Claw

Attack: 8 Damage: 8

Bite

Attack: 16 Damage: 4

6 Necrotic damage that comes out of Elyse's HP maximum if it hits.

(Wow I'm getting lucky with those bites)

Elyse stubbornly continues to swing at the Spawn while it holds onto her.

Attack: 22 Advantage: 25 Damage: 6

(So I accidentally typed +4 instead of +3 on the damage roll, original d10 was a 9 but then when I changed it to +3 it re-rolled the d10. Your choice which roll to take)

(Yes you are indeed. One good round from the spawn could be the end of Elyse)

Elyse once again hits, but it still doesn't do as much damage as she would like.

(Stick with the original, since it only changes the damage taken by 1 point.)

Fae shifts a little uncomfortably. "They've been down there a while..."

(The three remaining party members can head down when they please, but you will need to roll initiative and it will take three rounds of dashing to get there, unless you have some method of increasing your movement, in which case it only takes two)

Hadrian moves around the kerfuffle to Elyse's side, keeping his deathly hand grasping at the hungry creature.   

Attack: 14 Damage: 8 necrotic 

"Elyse...this sword, take it!"

The spawn is able to dodge the hand this time and as it does, you once again see it heal some of the damage its suffered, as it once again tries to feed off of Elyse.

Claw

Attack: 22 Damage: 10

Bite

Attack: 12 Damage: 5

If it hits, 8 necrotic damage that comes out of Elyse's HP maximum and further heals the spawn.

Elyse is unable to hold back a gasp of pain as the Spawn's claws dig into her flesh. This latest hit is finally enough to make her give in and attempt to escape.

Athletics: 17

If possible, she would like to grab the sword from Hadrian with a bonus action.

Elyse succeeds in breaking the Spawn's grapple and takes the shortsword, her glaive clattering on the ground.

Hadrian is up.

Fae stands up. "I'm going to go check on them," she declares, nestling her egg into her bag. "I don't agree with what they're doing, but I don't want them to die." She takes off towards the undercroft, Dashing (80 ft per round b/c Unarmored Movement).

Initiative: 5

Fae's turn will come into effect after Hadrian and the spawn have taken their turns.

Hadrian speaks a word of healing to Elyse even as the grabs the sword, then backpeddals, trying again to grab the monster with his chill touch. 

Attack: 8 Damage: 7 necrotic

Enialis lets out a sigh and then looks at Phanuel telling them, "Come on. Let's go save their sorry butts." Before he quickly follows Fae. Able to move very quickly. (90 Feet. Move, Dash, Cunning Action Dash.)
