Swiper's bolt punches into the barbarian's head as he rushes down the stairs. He tumbles and falls, and doesn't rise again.

// Rasa is up //

Rasa unleashes a high-powered fire bolt, which burns through the air to strike one of the barbarians. It ignites the oil that Nirzeg had covered him with, burning him and bringing him down.

Even as you assault the barbarians rushing down the stairs, the white dragon drops down behind you. The muscular barbarian, wearing an amulet on a silver chain, is riding the dragon. The creature opens its toothed maw and breathes a cloud of freezing air in your direction, catching Nirzeg, Rasa, Swiper, and Lydia in its icy zone of death (please make a DC 15 CON save, taking 37 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save). The big barbarian sneers and curses at you in his own language.

Harshnag bounds towards you, yelling at the dragon, "Pick on someone your own size! You little lizard!" At least, you assume he's talking to the white dragon. 

The barbarians, reduced to half their number, don't seem to notice their fallen companions. They rush onwards, ignoring Derrikoth and Swiper, and yelling incoherently with vehement rage at Rasa, Lydia, and Nirzeg. They are now close enough that you can see the anger and fear in their eyes, even as they raise their axes to strike you down...

Swiper scrambles just in time to not have to take the brunt of the ice breath attack nor be frozen like a little ice cube, his tiny heart pounding a million miles a minute as a result of it. "I gotta be brave..." He mutters to himself, taking out his swords. "Gotta be brave." With a breath, the kenku rushes forward and attacks the closest barbarian (because he aint fighting a dragon yet **** that).

Derrikoth rides down the stairs after the barbarians, shouting at them, "Back here, you savages!"

Nirzeg not only withered the cold, but with a hand outstretched towards the blast, the raw essence appeared to be drawn in but a single word of power. "I heard tales of their being Dragon Riders upon this mud ball, but had not expected to face one." He grinned toothily. "This will be interesting, considering my own kin's history with the ilk." He said, seemingly blissfully ignorant of the charging barbarian at his backside.

But as the man grew within range of his blade, he spun around and drew his blade in one swift motion, and sliced through their chest like butter. As the blood started to pour from the wound however, it froze solid; the essence absorbed earlier having been infused in the strike. If the man yet somehow stood, a still grinning Nirzeg vanished in the blink of an eye, and reappeared elsewhere on the field of battle. If he died however, he casually walked closer to beast and man with all swagger of a man without a fear of death.

Zeek in the meantime zipped around to find a more comfortable position to eventually aid from.

Action: Nirzeg Casts Cryo Explosion Attack: 16 Damage: 13 magical slashing, (d6) cold, and (d8) thunder damage.
(If target voluntarily moves before the start of Nirzeg's next turn, they take an additional 7of thunder damage.)

Bonus Action: Phase Step closer to dragon(if Barbarian is still alive), otherwising using movement to get within 30ft of it.

Derrikoth runs through the barbarian in front of Rasa, while Nirzeg's elemental-infused strike ends the one in front of him.

The remaining barbarian warrior, flanked by Swiper and Lydia, is in a rage and seems quite un-bothered that he is the last one of his compatriots standing. Although Swiper's blade cut deep, the barbarian still fights on.

Rasa takes the full brunt of the dragons breath weapon, which takes him to the brink of death. He unleashes a salvo of four fiery beams at the barbarian his party is still engaged with. Scorching Ray at 3rd level

9 to hit, 5 damage

22 to hit, 8 damage plus 2 more from enhanced bond

17 to hit, 7 damage

19 to hit, 10 damage

The four rays of fire converge to immolate the Barbarian. In a flash, he is reduced to unrecognizable, charred remains.

Lydia casts Call Lightning again and sends it at the Dragon and its Barbarian rider.

14 points of lightning damage. DC15 Dex Save for half.

Seeing that the battle has turned, the barbarian leader attempts to turn his dragon mount away, but he is met by a roaring Harshnag. The mighty frost giant tackles the smaller white dragon and throws him into the ice wall, sending the barbarian leader sprawling to your feet.

The barbarian gets up and swings his polearm at Lydia, yelling in broken Common, "You! Mage! You will die!"

Attack: 24 Damage: 4 slashing

Meanwhile, the dragon clamps down on Harshnag's arm, sinking its teeth into the giant's flesh.

Lydia sends a bolt of lightning down at the Barbarian, but angled so that it won't hit her or anyone she cares about.

Derrikoth rides up next to Lydia, jabbing his lance at the barbarian while giving the dragon wary looks.

"Well done, My Giant Compatriot! Try not to bleed him too much now! That's a lot of material to let go to waste!" Nirzeg calls forth after Harshnag, ignoring the giant's pain and seemingly the overall great danger the group yet remained in. Yet, it's not even a moment later before he's replacing his sword for another one of his disposable, L-shaped wands, releasing a shimmering green and caustic arrow the Barbarian's way with hardly more than a sidelong glance.

"And be silent, you washed up, chowder head." He demanded of the barbarian.

Action:  Cast (3rd level)Death Ray MK-II - Attack: 18 Damage: 14 of initial acid damage, and additional 10 at the start of the barbarian's next turn. If it misses, Barbarian Leader still takes half of the initial damage.

If slain, Grim Harvest Trait triggers, causing Nirzeg to regain 9 HP.

OR(If barbarian is killed by Derrikoth)

Rasa will launch a fire bolt at the barbarian leader, or if already dead, at the dragon.

15 to hit, 13 fire damage

As a Bonus Action, will cast Healing Word on himself at second level.

The barbarian leader is obviously outnumbered and overwhelmed, but he fights like a madman. Spinning into Derrikoth's strikes, he avoids the brunt of Nirzeg's death ray but still takes the full force of Lydia and Rasa's elemental power.

"Quite the fighta, ain't he?" Swiper commends the barbarian's fighting spirit, readying his blades for an attack. "To be he's gotta die!"

The barbarian didn't even see Swiper coming. He looks towards the bronze door in utter defeat. Blood runs down his black beard and over the amulet around his neck, and he sinks to his knees. "Noori," he says, eyes pained and empty. Then he falls to the icy ground, and is gone. 

Harshnag slams the dragon against the wall again, but this time the creature gets the better of the giant. Escaping his grasp, the dragon slashes Harshnag across the face and darts towards the exit. Harshnag gets a clean strike across the dragon's back, opening a deep wound as if flees.

"Ah ah ah, mi amigo. Sit. Stay, yes?"

Earthbind on the dragon. DC15 Strength save.

As Rasa speaks, magical bands surround the dragon and pull it down to the ground. It struggles in vain, and lets out an animalistic roar. 

"Hold it there!" cries Harshnag. "You don't want this thing surviving."
