Though one of their number is down, the Hunt Lords fight on, mercilessly loosing their spells, arrows, and hand-to-hand attacks on Nirzeg & Derrikoth, while the dwarf castellan fights for his life against Alus.

As Alus takes one last strike from the dwarf, he feels the life drain from his veins, and the light begins to fade. He sees visions of his life flashing quickly before his eyes--his parents in Silverymoon scolding him for skipping class, running away in the night to join a shipping company, years sailing the Sea of Swords, the storm that changed his life for ever.
His eyes clarify for a moment and he catches another glimpse of Derrikoth riding around on Nirzeg's back, and despite the immense pain, feels a slight bit of happiness seeing such strange bedfellows partnering up in such a way. He can't help but feel proud--as if his friendly touch may have rubbed off on his tough-exteriored compatriots. Then he thinks about Genny and her infectious charisma. Then Astra, and all the things he wishes he could have said to her. A smile creeps across his face as his eyes close once more.
And then--all he sees is an endless sea, a bright sun, a clear sky, and Valkur, standing on the deck of his ship. The god speaks: "Where to now, captain?"
Derrikoth stops, feeling his blood run cold at the sight of Alus falling beneath the dwarf's blows. Drawing his lance, he lets out a howl of rage as he jabs twice at the dwarf.
Attack: 18 Damage: 14
Attack: 14 Damage: 7
"YOU! You killed him! I'm going to make you pay! On what I have left, I swear it!"
An out of breathe Wickerman rolls his eyes at Astra, and starts to flutter off after them. But at the sight of wickerman making ready to pounce on noble playing with his ring, he sighs and alters course to drag the half-drunk familiar out of the building, chiding it in his burbling language.
Back at the Hunt Lord Mansion...
Nirzeg, having hacked a fair share of foes down in the past, was no stranger to the sounds of a passionate effort. It's why he needed not turn back following the second thunderous boom to know the truth. But where Derri had been visibly enraged, and quick to turn it upon the dwarf, the Githyanki had been quiet and visibly calm. And yet, his gaze would linger upon fallen Alus for perhaps a moment longer than necessary to have simply 'accepted' the death. "Big Blue. Taking this to the hall. Ready yourself to dismount suddenly if it comes to it." He says without the usual casual crassness.
Turning back to the hunt lord for one final rude gesture, a string of acid is slung towards their face. "As. For. You."He says as he steps up and looms over the dwarf. "Step. Aside."
Action: Nirzeg Casts (3rd level)Death Rattle Attack: 18 Damage: 17 Acid on Hunt Lord on Horseback. If hit, target takes an additional 7 acid at end of turn. If missed, target takes only half of the initial damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nirzeg's acid spell burns through the armor of the mounted Hunt Lord, causing it to shriek in outrage. "You will pay for this!" hisses the Hunt Lord, even as the acid eats through his body, causing bits of undead flesh and armor to fall to the ground.
Amrath, the castellan, plants himself in the broken doorway, where a lance strike from Derrikoth nearly runs him through. He pushes back against the lance, and wipes a trace of blood away from his mouth. "Their lordships must finish their hunt," he says. He lunges forward, trying to strike Derrikoth with his weapons!
Longsword slash: 25 Damage: 10 slashing And again: 16 Damage: 11 slashing Followed with a shortsword stab: 7 Damage: 8 piercing
The wights take aim at Nirzeg, intent on taking their prize. "Bring the big one down!" shouts the one with the longbow. As both the unmounted Hunt Lords attack, they also summon their own mounts, and two more skeletal, armored horses arise from bone piles on the floor!
As arrows and spells fly towards Nirzeg and Derrikoth, Derrikoth dives, blocking some of the attacks with his armor but taking the others squarely. The last arrow manages to make it past his guard and hit Nirzeg instead. With pain and rage in his eyes, he'll make a lance attack against the dwarf before dropping his lance and making a two handed longsword attack against the horse. If both are downed, he'll dismount and run out the door, shouting to Nirzeg, "We need to go! We'll make these bastards pay later!"
Attack: 9 Damage: 11

Derrikoth bites back a curse as his lance fails to connect with the dwarf.
"Someone. Doesn't. Listen!"Nirzeg comments on in more gravely voice, slipping the greatsword away altogether. "This hunt is over... and so are your days." Both palms burst into a darker flames as he raises them towards the dwarf. "Embrace the flames of Gehenna." He intones in the alien tongue before unleashing the wave of flames upon the dwarf. And if he should fall, the Gith wastes little time slipping further into the hallways and around the corner; seeming to head for the front door.
Action: Nirzeg Casts (2nd level)Gehenna Palm on the northern Hunt Lord and Horse, inflicting 18(Dex Save, DC 14 for 1/2) fire damage.
(If slain, Nirz regains 4 Hp from Grim Harvest feature)
At 2nd level, you gain the ability to reap life energy from creatures you kill with your spells. You don’t gain this benefit for killing constructs or undead.
The castellan is torched in the sudden conflagration, and goes down screaming.
Nirzeg and Derrikoth are able make it to the front door and open it, where they will see Astra and Genevieve running towards them, Wickerman and Zeek in tow. (No need to use Thunderstep if you don't want to at this point)
"Alus is dead." Nirzeg states simply. "Slain by the lords of this place. Fun fact: They are all undead, and particularly fond of trapping visitors for their hunt wouldn't you know." He said. Though his words were meant in levity, the tone doesn't quite match the stone face on the Githyanki. Then seeming to remember something, he glances back ready to draw his greatsword once more. "... They should've been here by now. Either their wiser than I thought or-...."
Nirzeg eyes grow wide. "The bodies! We need to go! Derii hold on tight! You two! Mend him on the way if you can." He says, but in the time they might start to question him, the giant githyanki has already turned about and started racing back the way they came. Having perhaps anticipated the move, Wickerman had already latched onto Derri's shoulder, and at some unspoken command or gesture, started applying some salve to the scales.
