Clarification, there are 5 books, 3 are writen cover to cover and one is filled 3/4. The 3/4 one finishes on the 6th of this month acording to Dains translation (and Nobodys). The last one starts on the 7th of this month and only has the buisness of the last few days marked. With Dains understanding of the runes and language he is able to distinguish minor diverrences in the writing of the first 4 books and the last. For anyone not familiar with Dwarvish they would look like identical handwritings.
"Otrov would you be a dear and accompany me, watch to keep me from falling into any more bear traps please." She looks to the two casters
"Dain you and Nobody Figure out the mystery of the ledgers and if you will Dain get your familiar to help me while We explore the rest of this place. Since it can see invisibility"
After checking the wardrobe (to make sure no one is hiding there or any false bottoms/doors, cool things), Otrov will head over to the desk investigate to see if it has any trapdoors or secret spots (Investigation - 23 ). Hearing Margret call for her assistance, she will bound over to her and follow along. "Good idea,"she says to Margret.
"Seems clear to me." Dain says, nodding to the books. The first ones were done by our dead dwarf, the one we found in the privy. The last was done by whomever killed her and took her place here." He glances around. "The writing is just enough off in the last book that it is clearly done by a different hand." He explains. Glancing to Margret. "I don't think there is anything more to find here, so I'll come with to help clear the rest of the place." He gestures for Sabastian to join them as they head out.
"It is likely they expected use her position yet for a long time. I-If not for intelligence w-work, then at least sabotage o-our efforts. P-perhas even k-kidnap someone and u-u-use them a hostage in the e-event that we secured gundren's business?" Nobody said with a bit of a shrug at the end. "R-regardless, I feel uncomfortable leaving the body out there for a familiar alone to look after. A-and perhaps w-we should.. I-I should go to the Townmaster about this now while you guys continue here? I-I know whoever swapped places with her are probably yet out there, but... I..." He trails off there, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm just not sure how much more I can be of help here... not that I have been so far anyhow."

"Fine fine, Nobody, I was worried with you being by yourself that's why I called, but I suggest you help Sildar at the front entrance instead of going to the townmaster and sending him into a fit and hiding. Least with a snake it'll see anything invisible and you'll be with someone. Or unearth the body for him to see. Or do what you want But if you're alone......"
She shakes her head and goes into the hallway and to the next door letting Otrov lead to look for traps
The first room is a workshop, were Grista was repairing barrels for her brews and distills and repair broken chairs or tables. Beside the usual tools of a carpenter, you find speacialised ones for a cooper as well. You also discover what may very well has been the missing piece of floor Margret triped into. The second store room is mostly filled with barrels. All of them are marked with years. Dain, this is a bit outside your expertise, but you do recognice the smell. You think Grista was brewing her own Dwarfen Ale and used this room to store and mature it. Most of those barrels are to fresh according to the dates written on them, but some of them may be good while a few are definitely ready. Three of them have a tab in them so it would be easy to test them if you want.
"Weeeelllll,"Otrov begins, "You know, I've always wanted a bar - maybe we could keep this one, seeing as how it's owner is dead and all. Hey! Dain! Dain! You're a dwarf, right? So you can write dwarfy things, right? Maybe you could write something like, 'Yeah, so I met this really cool chick called Otrov - she's really cool and responsible and all that - and anyways, if anything should happen to me, like death or disappearing, or falling into outhouses and then drowning, or something, then I think that Otrov should own my bar and if she has any friends, then they can also help own it too. Signed, yours truly, Grista the Dwarf.' Maybe something like that? Dain. Dain? Dain?"
Otrov startles a bit at Margret tipping the washbasin over, "AH!" The reaction is a bit much for simple water and she hopes no one noticed. Her face reddens slightly. That was close, she thinks, Beshaba's tits! I really hate water!
"N-no, I-I understand. But--" Nobody grimaces and bows his head. "N-nevermind. I'll be out front." He said to Margret by then retreating back. He spares one last look at the documents before nodding to himself and heading back to the entrance. While keeping watching with Sildar he'll try and get in contact with Karasym. But seeing as he last sent it off to search the town for other oddities like people acting shifty, he waits patiently at least a few minutes more knowing it would probably yet still be outside his range for a time.
Of course he could summon it to his side. But, between Dain's familiar having returned to his side and Margret's keeping an eye over the body, one at least had to be out and about and keeping watch.

The laundry is one of Gristas trousers and a long brown shirt, both have big brown stains, as if Grista was splashed with a brown liquid that is hard to wash out.
Otrov crinkles up her face at the thought. "Well I hope it was one or the other, because let me tell you what, I knew a dwarf once who had an admixture of both. Ah, Bertie's House Stew - I told him he was crazy to eat it but noooo, 'I'm a tough dwarf who be eatin' everytin' an' donnae matter if ye feed me rotten fish' blah blah blah.' He was weeping like a baby in the the jakes that night!"
"Anyways,"Otrov continues, still chuckling, "Probably blood." She thinks it's a bit odd that one wouldn't just dispose of clothes that are so incriminating but that's why she's so smart.
"Well as I suspected its blood. But I still wonder why this thing wants her clothes?"
She's has a image of a necked dwarf music lover needing clothes killing Grista for no reason. Which turns to utter disgust with the woosyness of her stomach 🤮
have we checked all the rooms?
