"Thats Quite alright," she laughs "I was waiting to get my arm, yet my whole entire side back from, Moss's hand shake" said while still in Moss's grip. "Um.. you can let go now my friend"
"Will you join us sir um?"
she gestures to their table
"And if they are your friends they can all pull up a chair and enjoy the morning. Make a new friend?"
"Yes I am The name is Margret" she extends her hand in the so familiar human gesture of a hand shake
ooc:description of a Firbolg handshake please, will be epic:
IC: Her fox bat watches with large eyes from her shoulder partially covered by Margrets shoulder length blond hair
As Margret gets straight to the point
"Um, I hate to bother you but I need adventurers to join me on a job I'm not sure what it is yet but a lady that owns a place in town told me she needed help and is willing to pay well."
Moss looks down at the small hand and wraps her much larger one around the woman's wrist, leaning down to press their foreheads together. There is a comforting feeling to her demeanour as she leans into you. Though the warmth and contentment she exudes doesn't quite reach her eyes. "You are well met. I am Moss. There are adventurers I am already with-" as they come through the door she smiles. "Here they are." Though she holds Margaret's arm a little too long, she finally lets go when her handshake is mentioned.
"Nobody." He completes for Margaret as he slips into a seat all proper like. After letting out a satisfied sigh Nobody smiles genuinely for the first time that morning. The smile soon dims as he looks over his companions. "It seems young Hazel is missing too, perhaps? I hope he has merely overslept. Remind me later that we should perhaps take him over to the local shrine for extending healing." He requests of old companions.
"And the delivery too. We should see to that soon. Though before that, Lady Margaret."He turns to her with a tired smile playing at the corner of his lips. "I am.. not sure how much Miss Moss here has told you of our situation. But you seem fairly equipped for a mere wayfarer. Or, well, you hold yourself... *ahem*... What I mean to say is.. given circumstances, and some potentially ongoing work, we could use another or two in the searching for someone. Perhaps you have heard of a dwarf by the name of Gundrun, or of the Rockseekers in town?"He asks curiously, only to abruptly turn to the others. "That reminds me. Where were we to deliver the good again?"
(To all: I missed it earlier. The two spells used to cleaning Zurzg's mess was [Tooltip Not Found] and mage hand in case any wonder.)

Kai sits quietly at the next table over, awaiting their food but listening into the conversation. "I assumed we were to talk to Gundrun's brothers for starters. At least that is what Sildar advised. As for while we are in town, we should look around. Gather a few things. Zurzg here could use a better fitting cloak and outfit so that he does not need to borrow Mal and I's? And a small side quest may be interesting to look into, but our main priority should be retrieving Gundrun. We may be able to help though.... Margaret? If I heard right?"
There's a pause before Kai slightly leans across from the table to extend a web fingered hand, slightly wet with water droplets like the rest of her light blue skin, towards Magaret. She smiles kindly and occasionally checks on Zurzg across from her. "My name is Kai. Kai Loire. That is Zurzg. It's nice to meet you. And your adorable pet? Is it a male?"
After their handshake, Kai looks over to the new drow also at the table. "Same to you. You are?" She extends her hand again to the drow after pushing her glasses up a little on the bridge of her nose and slightly adjusting her dark blue hair.
As you all sit down Toblen Stonehill nods a goodby to Sildar and stands up: „ Welcome again in the Stonehill Inn. Master Sildar already payed for two merchant rooms for you for tonight. Rooms 15 and 16. They are above then stables, just go up the right staircase, the two rooms at the end of the corridor. Breakfast is till noon and it is already included in then price for the room. Although today is a bit different thanks to Master Ree‘lyn who made it. I will take my leave now, if you got any questions, my wife Trilena“, he gestures to the woman who brings in your food, „ she will be able to help you. I will leave you to your breakfast now.“
He leans over to Ree‘ly before he goes and whispers ( roll a perception 10 or higher if you want to listen in)
Thank you for your offer, i will hold on to it. But Phandalin is only a small village and trade along the Triboar road is not the best at the moment. For now i will stick with local products because i need to be very flexible in the amounts i use. You don‘t get that from a delivery service. But I thank you for your offer and if buiesness picks up i will try to contact you and we can talk again.
He smiles at you, but as his view takes in the very colorfull mix of your group he shakes his head a little and you can hear a small chuckle of disbelieve.
Kai nods to Toblen before looking to Sildar. "You're too kind. Thank you. What do you suppose we do next?" She will then seem to get lost in thought for a moment, seemingly doing math on her fingers. "Has anyone seen Hazel and Ostran? Or did they too collect their pay and leave? As for the rooms, there are two rooms, seven of us, five if Hazel and Ostran left. Six if that is the case AND Magaret here is joining us. And does anyone know if that drow is involved as well? That would make seven again... So seven people, two rooms, three females, four males, and an unknown number of beds per room. We could in theory divide into genders, but do you want to stay with me or the guys Zurzg? I want to be able to assure your safety and those guys can be... unpredictable at times." Kai's voice is friendly and not meaning offense to the guys.
Kai then takes a deep breath, having said all the calculations in one or two short breaths. Taking a short break from talking for others input, she will sip her tea and move Zurzg's plate closer to him helpfully before moving to sniff her porridge curiously, moving to sample the porridge if it smells okay (safe of poisons but also just for flavors). After some more thought she will look to Zurzg. "It seems we have rooms for the night, meaning we can stay for the day. Would you like to see if we can find something more comfortable for your attire once we are given our delivery pay? I can pay for it if you need. I have few uses for money."
Kai seems a little to distracted by her math and conversation to eavesdrop on any other conversations.
(As much as I want to, storywise she wouldn't think to eavesdrop).
With a nod and a smile bidding farewell, Ree'lyn witness Toblen Stonehill approaching the newcomers and delivering his best host service, then smiles when his name is mentioned taking that as a cue to approach the group after he has instructed them to place their orders to Trilena and left.
"Good morning! I am Ree'lyn, your cook for this morning." - he bows for courtesy and his eyes move quickly around the table with a slight grimace at some point, barely noticeable. - "Where do you dare from? It seems like you have had a rough night, considering you had to take the stables out of emergency." - he pauses long enough to notice the group's reactions and carefully removes a hay that was lingering in Moss' hair. - "Are all of you traveling together? I doubt the road would present any danger to you if so. I would pity anything that tried their luck with you. Were you in a hurry to get here?" - looking specifically at the covered goblin, he adds - "I am new to the city myself. Seeking out trade partnership and other business opportunities. However, I was not aware they took slaves here. I could tell from its manners and the hand coming out of the cloak it is a Goblin."
"Master Stonehill told me the rooms have 4 beds in each, I wasn't sure who would stay here for another day. As for Hazel and Ostran, they went to the temple to ask for some ointments for my injuries.", Sildar gives Zurzg a slightly angry look as he sais that," anyhow, Master Stonehill didn't hear anything about Gundrens brothers, and when I asked about a second Inn, he quickly changed topics. He seams a bit protective of his buissnes. Once Ostran and Hazel are back, I will visit the mayor and the Miners exchange, maybe they heard any news. As for you, you should bring the supplies and Betsy to Barthens Provisions.. He will have the reward for your job. If you don't mind sticking around I will have a few jobs I need taken care off as well, finding this King Grol and Gundren is one of them. He, may be able to tell you something, "Sildar nods at Zurzg," or maybe one of the locals knows where this Cragmaw Castle is. But for now, let's enjoy some hot food. "
His mind working fast to process and keep the information that has been laid out for him, although not intentionally, Ree'lyn considers his next words carefully. Gundren? Is that a dwarves name? It sounds so. King Grol? Is this good or bad news? Reward... maybe there are good business to be made here after all.
"Excuse-me, sir. I couldn't help but hear your conversation. There is a king nearby. A lot of things seem amiss around here I should say. Do you know this city well? What do you think? Is this Gundren you are looking for missing or just living somewhere else? If he is missing I might have a few resources that might be of help." - looking at Sildar's bowl of stew, Ree'lyn winks at him and adds - "Tell your friends if you like it. The pie is also not something you would want to miss."
(Nobody didn't have a mind to play eavesdropper earlier)
Nobody has yet to eat, having been too occupied sorting things out. While Magaret's comment before left him cocking a brow up as if to ask 'And what is that supposed to mean?', Ree'lyn's last comment about "slaves" elicits deep, throaty growl out of the tiefling as pitch black eye narrows at the Drow. If Sildar hadn't spoken then....
But he had, distracting yet drawing Nobody out of his own budding anger. Even so, the tiefling couldn't help but continue to stare flatly at the drow throughout the remainder of the conversation. "... I am going to go now and make sure Betsy is set up ready to move. The rest of you enjoy your breakfast." Without waiting for a reply, a stone faced Nobody gets up to leave for the stables. Even if Toblen there's mention of a feeding time for horses or what-have-you, nothing short of physically being stopped impedes the man's progress outside. At some point he eats trail rations for breakfast alongside preparing his magic for the day once at the stables. But eventually, he goes back to keep his word.

Kai watches Nobody go quietly, not stopping him from his desired actions before she looks to the drow, a little less cheerily at the mention of slaves but a polite smile nonetheless. "Gundrun was our other hirer. We were hired to escort a cart of goods here while ue and Sildar traveled a day in advance. King Grol is the leader of the main band of goblins around here. On their forward travel, Sildar and Gundrun ran into a portion of this band of goblins. We aided in the rescue of Sildar and are currently devising a plan to get to Cragmaw Castle to retrieve Gundrun where our business partner Zurzg here has told us where he was taken."
Kai emphasizes the words buisness partner, trying to express that Zurzg is not their pet nor a slave. There's a slight pause in her speech before she thinks back to Sildar's words. "So Gundren's brothers are potentially not in Phandalin? I guess we will be leaving that detail to you. I would assume we are happy to wait until you have finished your deeds. That would give us that time to explore Phandalin and do some deeds ourselves. But may I ask... Where is the Barthens Provisions from here?"
After Sildar's response, she will look to Zurzg and speak friendly to him. "If we gave you a map of some sort, could you point out the location of Cragmaw Castle? Even a description of directions back there could be helpful." As she waits for his response, she will eat her porridge and sip her tea quietly in thought before muttering to herself. "If Ostran and Hazel return to us, that would make Eight of us total including Magaret. Five guys and three girls still. I suppose Zurzg will have to stay in our room."

Breakfast first , business after. You guys have to learn to relax. The money we earn won't mean much if we don't enjoy it now and then.
Mal digs into the breakfast. After he finishes the food and drink before him, he orders another set. You never know when we'll have a hot meal like this again, so relish the moment.
It looks like this place is full of opportunities to earn some coin. We shouldn't waste what Tymora has graced us with.
Pity about Leona though, she was beginning to grow on me. I'll miss that battleaxe. That strict, humorless, courageous battleaxe.
I'm sorry my new friends, where are my manners. Malachi Artredis of House Artredis at your service. Seems that the gods have ordained that our company have seven persons. And who am I to doubt their plans.
Mal stands for a moment and gives a graceful bow before sitting down again to eat.
Shall we be heading over to Barthen's Provisions then after our meal? He has our payment. And he may know the owners of the other items we recovered from the cave. Maybe we can get a "finder's fee" for returning them. Or maybe he'll buy them off us.
We also need to get that locked box we recovered opened. The jingle and jangle inside means more spending money if we're lucky.
Looking at the bruised human man, Ree'lyn pays attention to the Water Genasi as she speaks. It is rare to find Genasi, but he heard the stories his father told him when lecturing about elementals and other magic creatures. Does her hair look like a waterfall that never ever drips onto the floor? Is her skin wet to the touch? Is she made of water or a lifeform made to look like water? He thinks of she would like posing as a nereid for his next painting. - "Would you dress in algae and water lilies for me? For artistic purposes I mean." - realizing she gave out much more information regarding the area and his questions, he quickly retrieve his line of thinking - "Later, of course. So, you fought goblins...but have one of them with you...and are looking for their king. Wait...were they somewhere near here? Can you show me where on an map?" - then he pauses a little to think about all the chain of events laying out in his mind. Looking at the Goblin...Zurzg. - "This Gundren you are looking for is important to this town, right? You aim to go head first in the Goblin's lair for him? " - he chuckles. - "Ah...care if I take a seat?" - pulling out a chair and taking a seat before any answer is given - "We are going to need resources." - thinking some more - "Trust me. He is not dead. They would not be bothered to take him with them if they wanted him dead. Can we find more about this Rockseeker family? Maybe walking around the town and talking to some people about them, we may find out what makes him so important to the Goblins to keep him alive."
Gladly paying the same courtesy as the human, Ree'lyn bows graciously and firmly, as someone used to formalities. - "Well met Malachi Artredis of House Artredis. Indeed. Let's enjoy a nice feast and then to the business. "
Zurzg looks at Kai as she addresses him regarding the room situation, a large rasher of bacon hanging out his mouth as if he was a bear with a freshly-caught salmon. He swallows it whole, burps, then replies. "Zurzg stay with Water Person, so long as chain stays away from Zurzg."
The goblins listens to the talk between Ree'lyn and Kai of Cragmaw castle, and scrunches his eyes as he tries to recall something. "Zurzg never been to castle, only heard of it. But Zurzg read maps before, Zurzg can still help."
Kai nods at Zurzg and smiles. "Alright. Thank you Zurzg. We will be needing your assistance."
Kai is then taken back by Ree'lyn's first question and can't help but laugh a little. "Waterlillies? Whatever for?"
She then moves on to his next questions. "Yes. It would be smart for us to do some investigating around here. The more we know the better. It also allows any needed shopping or leisurely before heading back out. By the way you are speaking, am I to assume you would like to join us then?"
Theres an amused smile on Kai's face before she moves to sip her tea quietly, studying the drow's reaction and mannerism.

"I have a special place for beauty in my sketchbook. The three ladies here might be the muses of a next series of illustrations by me. Just like Artredis said, the joy we take in this moment is the exact demeanor we must have concerning this soon-to-be thriving town. Why? Because we have the chance of making of this latri...town pour gold. Trading routes can not be established in unsafe roads. This place was once a well developed mining city. Old families in here keep that dream alive. If we make their dream come true, we profit. If this Rockseeker is a member of one of those families, they must meet me." - sitting straight and a smile on his face and the penetrant look in his eyes, he adds - "I have heard of different places being mentioned in the conversations so far: a temple, the trade posts...what else? "- looking straight to Sildar, the Drow weighs on his next words - "Who is in charge of this city? Where can we find the local authorities? "

" - looking straight to Sildar, the Drow weighs on his next words - "Who is in charge of this city? Where can we find the local authorities? "
