Well, after waiting a bit, Otrovwill listen for a moment at the door: Perception - 18 listening for anything they are talking about.
She will make her way back upstairs afterwards and check the handprint - is it human? Was Relgalyn's door locked - is there any sign of tampering with the lock? Investigation - 8
***Edit***
Otrov will ask the innkeep about any new people/employees with access in the last couple of weeks and their whereabouts...
Kai apologies to a speachless Linene for the interruption and runs after Zurzg.
Otrov, you hear Trilena explain to her son, why ‚strangers‘ are not allowed in the kitchen. Talking about hygiene, stealing or even poisoning other guests, she does stress the point that you are an honest person as far as she can tell, but those rules are there to protect their guests and their income and should not be ignored randomly. When Pip points out that another guest was helping in the kitchen about a week ago, she snaps and shuts him up. It sounds like she is stresses and tries to hide the fact that there is a dead body upstairs from her son.
The bloody handprint on the door had 5 fingers and was from someone who was most likely between 5 and 6 feet tall. It doesn‘t show any sighns of fur or scales or feathers, it looks like the hand was covered in ordinary skin. So yes it looks humanoid, but you can not be sure if it was elf, human, dwarf or something similar. You do find a small fresh notch on the doorframe, at the same hight as the latch, that locks the door from the inside.
"Doesn't seem like we have any leads here..." Dain remarks as he listens in to what the others have learned so far. "Is the sister able to tell us anything about what happened here?" He asks, glancing at the acolyte from the Lady of Luck.
Seeing that she was getting nowhere she goes down to the Stonehills or where ever they are, and Knocks on the door she first states if answered by Trilena or Tolbin
"Sorry to interrupt, I guess I can wish you a good rest of the morning and day.
She says with an insuring smile but turns to a thoughtful expression
"I hate these events that just happened! could you tell me, whom was in the common room last night? Anyone, a stranger? Or would you know who served last night so I can ask them?"
She wonders if this Ratkins she just heard about had something to do with it.
Zurzg repeats his actions at the door of Daren Edermath, quite enjoying this game. As he raps the door, he ponders whether he should draw his other sword, should this Daren Edermath answer the door, and indeed be dead...
Nobody has Karasym follow after Margret, ready to offer support. In the mean time, the tiefling heads back to his froom, debating the merits of even bothering with a Alarm or catch at least another hours rest. As much as the death of a colleague troubled him to no end, some supposed rational thought argued that being half-asleep would do him no good. Eventually it is decided to create the alarm through a ritual in his room, stalling for time to consider the next step.
Zurzg, Daren does not open the door, but you see the old halfelf coming with a small basked of apples from his orchard. He sees you and comes towards you.
Margret, you saw Toblen downstairs cleaning the bar when you came back. When you approach him he gestures you to be quiet and leads you to a table away from the kitchen. He explains to you that he tries to keep the murder hidden from his son, untill they had the chance to remove the boddy and clean the room. He wants to spare him the bloody details of what happened. As for your question, there were no strangers in the inn last evening. Linene, Daren, a couple of farmers, two dwarven miners who are in the village for nearly a week. The blacksmith Thagren and the local tanner Caldor. He didn‘t see this new mine oversear Donjon Ratkins, but he thinks he may have been with Halia at the Sleeping Giant. With the Redbrands gone a few townspeople decided to help Grista out by giving her some business. Halia and Harbin Webster being among them. Halia because she sees an oportunity there and Harbin because he prefers the ale and the company over there.
Zurzg examines the elderly gentleman with an appraising stare as he approaches. He looks up at Kai and says, "Old man not dead either... but maybe soon?" The goblin then scampers off back to the inn to report his findings to someone.
Margret wonders how she would be welcomed at the Sleeping Giant so she says.
"Thank you Tolbin, I guess breakfast then, gotta keep my strength wearing what I do."
She simply orders what they have, then asks Otrov if she would accompany her. And she heads over to the Sleeping Giant but first removes her red cloak she kept as a souvenir and tucks it away.
"Try not to let anyone know at the Sleeping Giant what happened people seem to shut up."
"I think I'll stop by Barthans and get a new cloak Otrov I don't want to give these folks bad memories every time they see me."
Dain, Sister Garaele can not think of any direct help she can give you right now. Come tomorow she will be able to cast zone of truth if you find a suspect that you would like to question.
Margret and Otrov, the Sleeping Giant is still closed this early in the morning, but from Zurzgs description a few days ago, you know that she got her privat rooms on the upper floor of the bar. On a first glance you don‘t perceive any activities at the moment.
Otrov looks pensive for a moment. “Well, how bad do we want to know what Halia is up to? Maybe I could scale the wall or something and take a look? We might also see Mr Ratkins also! I hope they’re not...in the middle of anything! “

"Yeah, since this place is still shut down, lets go over to Halia's. Inquire about the job Halia was talking about, basically to see what time frame this Ratkins has. And see if there are any clues to the murder there."
But first she looks at the Sleeping Giant (Perception 18)
"But since we are here. Lets see if there are any bloody hand prints on the door. Or other clues around the outside of the place"
Halia, Mr Ratkin and Harbin Webster were most likely at the Sleeping Giant Bar last night. Now early in the morning they are probably in their homes ( Donjon Ratkin staying with Halia).
The Sleeping Giant is owned by Grista Stonetank, a dwarfen woman who lives in the upper level of the bar.
Otrov and Margret, you look around the bar and into the backyard. You don‘t see any bloody tracks or hand prints, but Otrov discovers a small spot of ground near the outhouse, were some weeds were pulled out of the ground recently. The soil is still damp and not dryed by the summer air.
