OOC: well sh!t that sucks I can't believe that don't work.
Toonary takes his mace off his belt, and shield of his back and readies to strike the snakes.
(Not sure what your looking for next. I rolled a d20 and got 13. If I'm rolling initiative it's +1, if your letting me attack, I'm just hitting it with my shield trying to not kill it, but I'm using it as an improvised weapon, so it's it's +4 to hit and I rolled a 4 on damage if I get to add my strength that's a +4. If hitting it with my shield as an IW is not allowed, then it's a +6 to hit and 9 damage, again I'm not trying to kill it, just knock it out.)
Toonary yells out with a commanding voice towards the vines, and branches overhead. The next instant two dark shapes strike from above. Roll for initiative. (Gridolpho, Maya, Seethe. You are surprised for the 1st Round.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seethe, realising that they are beign attacked, thanks with a smile to Toonary for saving her from the snake and utters a sacred word, calling upon the divine power of her God.
The energy erupts from her and hits the snake.
( Cast Word of radiance. CON ST 14 or suffer 1 radiant damage )
Seethe's magic hits the giant snake dead center ending its existence. Your relief is short lived as a loud roar emanates from the large mound in the center of the pool. it appears that, Thousand Teeth, The Devourer is aware of your presence.
Emerging from the muddy mound is the largest crocodile you've ever laid eyes on. Its eyes are glowing red with hatred, and malice. The monstrosity heads straight for the party.
Roll for Initiative. (Thousand Teeth is 50' away.)

Maya would blink at the dead snake Toonary just took out and then look over to him. “Didn’t even notice that guy.”

Gridolpho , A second giant snake strikes from above in an attempt to wrap you in its deadly coils. Luckily for you it misses.
Begin Round 2. Surprised characters can now act.
Toonary seeing how easily the other snake went down would get next to the other snake and try and hit the last one with his mace.
