This time Nawien even got the joke! Adventure have not even started yet but already sharpened her perception - very impressive! She cast her eyes down and bit the lip to hold the laughter, that could be pretty dangerous, considering orcesses temper).
"I am sure there are more experienced among us who would be able to combine their strength with your obvious talents", placatingly added Nawien to soften the blunt refusal. It should be added, that softening attempt was truly sincere - the last thing Nawien wanted was the repetition of yesterday scene.

Rusty registers that rejection from one quarter of those assembled usually has a negative outcome for emotion biologicals, he prepares for a reaction. Based on his historical evidence there is no predicting how volatile it might become and with the size of the Orc biological it could be an extreme situation that could spiral out of control. Rusty takes a couple of steps back to be prepared for any reaction. His first reaction will be to remove himself from the situation and if he must start his investigation over by himself; although he will be more diligent now that he knows others are involved.
Thokk - After having come down and there not being anyone here he watches as each person comes and sits at the table that he was at awaiting their breakfast from Laaz, he gives his preferences to the elf and has been silently sitting and watching what is happening across the table from him involving the females of this odd gathering and says to them, "Ladies...perhaps it would be best to attempt to get along.", Looking specifically at the two human females, "After all, we are all now working towards the same goal and both of you being human, regardless of what your specialty may be, don't seem to be of the...fighting variety, to which I am sure there will be plenty of with this task.", Looking at the female orc says, "And you, while you have many attractive qualities about you, are quite intimidating for all of us around, especially after your display of anger last night.", Addressing all three of them, "Perhaps the three of you could balance each other out and learn from one another. Sometimes you have to work with people who can do things that you can't or won't."
Layla shrugged. "I'm not sure how many teams we are breaking up into, or how many are going to be on each team, but according to Zephyre's count, there are at least four capable fighting types in this assemblage, and I see absolutely no reason for a Girls-Only Trio. Assessing the serious vibe settling around, Maze starts laughing, not disrespectfully, but a loud sincerely amused and warm laughter "Ha ha ha, I like you all!"Then, Maze grabs Layla's head with one arm and, shuffling Layla's hair with her other hand, says, "Trying to test my limits... It's adorable." Then, letting Layla go, Maze looks at Thokk and, with a smile, says, "Maybe it's only your orcish blood that gets to me, but hell! There's still some sense in some of you here!"Then, looking at everyone, but especially at the females Maze says with a calmer, more sincere voice "It seems that my reputation hasn't preceded me after all! My name is Maze. There's a longer version with the official title somewhere around it, but... my name is Maze! Even though I've got a title, I'm not exactly... princessy. You haven't seen me as my usual self last night... Well, if you say my performance, that was more like me, but then, things got... Maze pause as she thinks "don't go down that road..." "... well, last night was... unusual. Even though I appreciate when people try their best to please me, I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself."
Then, Maze bend over the counter and grabs the first drink that looks like something that'd give a kick. She then looks at the males, but stopping her gaze on Dàin, she raises her arm and cheers, "I also enjoy breaking some skulls and drinking ale!" before taking a generous sip. Putting her drink down, Maze look at the women and says, "don't worry you two, we're not in competition. We're not even playing the same game. As this kind one said..." Maze points at Thook and then at her own bust as she continues "...we don't have the same... physical attributes."
Then, Maze let her cloak fall on the floor and, not losing an opportunity to put her curves forward, she raises her arms, curving her back a bit more than required. As she ties her hair, she looks at Layla with a grin and says "But hey, if you want a good old fight, I'm always down for some wrestling! Might do you some good to let some of that steam out. I promise to be gentle."

Layla can't help but be amused at Maze's showy pronouncements. That one might be an even better distraction than any performance Layla could come up with, in some situations. "I'm pretty sure you could take me in a fair fight," she says, looking at the orc's massive physique. Maybe even in an unfair fight. "In any case, as you say, we are not in competition. Just so long as we understand each other."

Amused herself by Layla's attempt to flee, Maze lift the table with one hand, pulls Layla in the air with the other and says, "Oh my dear Layla. The more you'll try to scare me, the louder I'll laugh. The further you'll run, the closer I'll be... Also, you're sweet to worry about my health, but you really shouldn't. I don't recall ever having been sick. So you can relax, while you are in my arms, you're safe." She then gives Layla a big warm hug, intentionally pressing Layla's face into her cleavage as she says "I'm a little bit disappointed that you didn't fight back. Frankly, I was expecting some scratching and a biting or two." Then Maze drops Layla on the ground and turns her back on everyone, making sure they all get a good look, everyone made of flesh that is, and she bends over to take her cloak from the floor. As she stands up, she looks back at Layla with a more discrete suggestive smile and says, "On the other hand, it might be better this way. Otherwise, I might have been tempted to kiss you."
"Right," says Layla. "Well, Thokk, since we are all working toward the same goal and should be attempting to get along, I nominate the unhousebroken terrasque to YOUR team."

Marun sits back and watches the others starting to bicker amongst themselves. Thokk seemed to be trying to stir up trouble intentionally. Surely none of this is worth it. We either get together with someone on instinct or let the Elf assign groups. He waited for Zephyre to speak. It would be hard to know what skills they would ultimately need until they knew their intended goal.

And now everyone could return to the things at hands - waiting for Zephire to come out of one of his silent stupors and say what he plans for them. She returned to her sit by Lyala.
