The redbrand thinks for a second and says "since you got all the boys locked up here, there won't be any lookouts left." "Could go now, could wait for dark if you like. Won't make no difference once we're under the mansion up there."
"Well there's the wizard. Dunno if he can see in the dark. And the eye... the spiked monster with one big eye. There's a couple traps I can show you, too."
The big man nods and takes the paper from Ethan. He makes a very crude, almost child like map of the dungeon that is mostly just various rectangles. He does point out a few things worthy of note, however. One is that the first part where they will enter is the old cellar and crypt for the manor. There is a hidden door leading to a rougher cave area, however. In the middle of the cave is a deep, dark crevasse and that is where the one eyed monster lives. He tells you that the wizard lives in the back (top left) and they don't go in there any more.

"Then it's decided!" Elra says brightly, "you'll come with us, and I'll help you feel brave again, even when you don't feel that way." she picks up the shield and goes to look for the rest of the party.
Once Fae was satisfied with all of her morning studies and note reviews, she would sip back the last of her tea. Should Garaele allow it, the wizard would gently wrap up some left over biscuits to take with her to share with the others. The wizard would thank Sister Garaele for her time and knowledge shared this morning as she'd finish gathering the rest of her supplies for the road. She'd give her mentor a smile and bow of her head as she'd take her leave.
Exiting Garaele's residence, Fae would peer across the town square. It looked as though there was a large gathering, including most of her companions. The wizard would quietly pad her way over to the group, eventually coming to stand a little distance away to observe the discussions.
"Your ahx? I am certain zat we can locate it. But I am afraid we shall 'ave to let Zeke 'ere carry it for you. 'E will be ze un 'oo decides wezzer or not you need to wield it."
Zeke snorts and stalks off to find the Bandit's axe, stowing it carefully but within easy access to pull and hand over in a moment if needed.
'We need your knowledge, not the strength of your arms my friend. Prove you can be trusted on this and we'll see that your sentence is appropriately reduced upon your return.'
Looking at his comrades, the Tiefling sizes each of them up to make certain they are prepared for the journey and ready to move.
'Our new friend and I will take point, Tarja can you and our friend Horton bring up the rear? Ethan, take the middle but be prepared to move forward or back as needed.'
As he moves about getting everyone ready, the barbarian leans in close to whisper to Fae 'Stay close behind me and this ruffian and blast him the moment you sense any treachery at all'
Fae could feel herself leaning in to listen to Zeke's whisper. Hearing his words, she'd tilt her head to give him a soft smile and a confident nod. 'I'll always have your back.'
Elra and Tharilim have no trouble finding the party near the center of the small, quiet town, Horton certainly not hurting the cause. The large man's axe is retrieved from where the locals had decided to hide the redbrand gear and soon the party is off. The mid morning sun has broken through but rooftops still drip and the ruts in the road create a maze of puddles as the party heads East past the Inn and the Sleeping Giant tap house towards the hill upon which the old Tresendar Manor used to stand. As they pass by the tap house where not long ago they had exchanged words with the redbrands they see two familiar and very similar faces on the porch instead. Finnan lies passed out on the hard wooden planks and is tapped by Farnin who is at least conscious and says "hey, I know you guys" in a rather slurred voice.
Led by the redbrand, soon the party passes through some trees at the low point in the road before then beginning to climb a winding path towards the now crumbled manor. Towering upon the hill remains one side of an old stone tower accompanied by parts of other walls, most no more than a story or two high. Mostly the party finds piles of stone partially covered in vines where walls long ago crumbled. As you draw close to the top of the hill you can see that some of the debris has been cleared from the center of the manor, stone paths having been created between walls a piles of stone. The redbrand leads you to a flat area on the far side of the hill that looks like it was perhaps part of the original ground floor. There a stone stairwell still exists, only half covered by a large slab of thick, gray stone. "Down there" points the redbrand guide.

"I am ready"replies Tharilim matter of factly. A moment later he says "I was pondering." "It would seem that I am not more than a burden, but if I am to be a shield, then let me be a shield. I will protect you or one of your kind companions, if you wish it."
Elra beams, "Ya, that sounds great!" she pauses, then looks around at her friends before her eyes land on Ethan, "Ethan, I remember what I wanted to talk to you about!" she exclaims, running over to him. She pulls the pearl out of her pocket, "I was thinking, maybe you could get more use out of this than I could? Honestly I feel like I'm using it more to identify things than anything else, so maybe we could swap, and you could maybe use this pearl to regain your magical energy when you need it. Also, Tharilim says he wants to be a shield, and I was thinking about who should be the one to use him. I'm willing to try for now and then later on we can have someone else do it. Am I rambling? I think I'm rambling..." she trails off.
"That is logical" replies the shield to Elra.
The redbrand thinks for a second and says "since you got all the boys locked up here, there won't be any lookouts left." "Could go now, could wait for dark if you like. Won't make no difference once we're under the mansion up there."
"Why wouldn't it be different if we got there after dark? Can they see in the dark?"
"Actually, what kind of defences do they have at the manor?"
"Hmm, actually, could you draw us a map of the layout of the manor?"
Ethan pulls out some paper and drawing instruments, looking hopeful at the large Redbrand.

Confused by Maxi’s accent, the big man replies “ah, I’m not sure” regarding the spider question. “Where’s my axe?”
(Anything else anyone wants to do before departing to find the Glasstaff?)

Ready to head onwards towards the manor, Tarja goes to find Horton.
Come along, now! We'll see how far along with us you can get. If it gets too tight you can be a figurine again and come along that way.
Ethan finally looks up from studying the map and answers Zeke,
"No I think we have everything we will need to navigate what is listed here."
"We have rope, climbing equipment, tools to deal with locks or traps."
"I have all the crafting materials I'm going to need if I get time to work on my projects."
Ethan looks at the others,
"Unless there is anything else any of you want or need."
