The room, obviously a waiting room, is decorated with familial paintings, several chairs, small couches and two bureau, which have been used to block this door and one on the other side of the room.
Tomas has seen better days. A long horizontal gash oozes blood, as well as several scratches on his arms and face. His own sword is bloodied. With him is a tiny blonde woman. She is dresses in a off-white linen skirt and blouse and small shoes. Along the openings of her blouse and skirt is red embroidery of symbols. Her hair is pulled back in a severe braid, and her blue eyes are red.
"Wasn't expecting to see you again so soon. Can't tell if you are a bad penny or a lucky coin," he says in a slightly inebriated voice. "Right after you left the Governor came back and he and his cronies locked themselves in his house. Didn't think much of it at first, he tends to only socialize with them and not the people. Not long after, people began to get a rash. Funny enough, people who took a drink with their lunch had less symptoms, so most everyone started drinking. Słowikya, here is the closest thing to a healer we have here, figured we needed to come to the Governor. But the place was locked up tight, so I broke in. Back idea, there. What was waiting inside, well... Guess you could say they were the Governor's guards, then again, they weren't. Their skin was covered with patches of green, scaly skin and their eyes definitely weren't human anymore. More like a snake. Four of them attacked me. One got in a lucky stroke, so I got us in here."
"We have to do something, and hurry," Słowikya says in a mousy voice. "Whatever this is, its affecting the children the most. They don't have the itching, but they're sleeping. Nothing can wake them and their eyes and skin are beginning to change."
Navi would awkwardly wave at Tomas when she recognizes him upon his beckoning. "Aye. If she's a healer. Why yeh still bleedin'?" She'd look to Ulrich and agree, "Aight." And she'd follow behind him.
Heading quietly up the stairs there is silence, broken only by the sounds of rivalry in the streets. The stairs themselves have large splatters of greasy, red-black blood. A sure sign, that Tomas gave a good accounting of himself.
At the top of the stairs, is a 5x15 hallway, with a door on either side of the hallway and a door at the far end. The side doors are partially ajar, while the door at the end is closed. A strange, pale green light issues from under the door.
"That's the Governor's suite at the end," Tomas informs you.
Ulrich will listen in the hallway for the briefest of moments to see if he hears anything from the side doors, and then will move to the end and see if it is locked.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Corum will look down the hall and see if he can spot any traps (Perception 16)
Depending on the results (If he doesn't detect anything) he will creep to the first ajar door (Stealth 17) and see if he hears anything in the room. (Perception 4)
((Man going from my pathfinder 1e characters to this guy I feel like all my rolls are so horrible.))
Navi will wait as patiently as possible for the guys to do their checks. Deep down, she just wants to kick these doors open with a bang and charge in with her axe and shield at the ready. She’d start tapping her foot ever so slightly, waiting for them to give her a go ahead.
Moving stealthily and quietly, the party moves down the hall, listening and peeking into the side rooms. These large bedrooms are a mess of overturned furniture, bedding and clothes, though the seem to be unoccupied.
From the door at the end of the hallway heavy, sibilant breathing can be heard through the door. The door itself is a simple latch mechanism, which can not be locked.
Navi would unlatch the door as silently as she could before kicking it open with her shield at the ready, hoping to catch what ever it was by surprise.
All right, people, please give me a constitution savings throw please :)
Pushing open the door, the green light engulfs you with a wave of nausea.
The room is/was an elegant office, with furnishings lovingly brought from the mainland, including a large desk, couches and cabinets along the walls, two cushioned chairs before the desk for guests, and a throne-like chair behind the desk. Two doors (one on either side) are opened behind the Governor's chair.
The green light is emanating from a large irregular shaped stone (about the size of a bowling ball) sitting on the center of the desk.
Inside the room are four people(?). Judging by the remnants of their clothes, they were once the Governor and 3 guards. Now, however, their skin is a patchwork of brownish, scaly skin and reddened, irritated, normal skin and bloody scabs. Any hair they may have had has fallen, and their eyes turn to look at you with baleful, green irises. Their fingers and toes are at least twice as long as normal and end in long, sharp claws.
Your move, ladies and gentlemen. You may roll for initiative if you are going to attack.
Ulrich
As the green light washes over you, your stomach rolls in protest, even as your head explodes in blinding pain, and the slight itching you felt becomes an almost irresistible need to scratch.
