"I...I don't know! I don't know what to do besides storm the place! But rushing in blindly without a plan is suicide. We should at least have a tactic for the opponents we will inevitably be facing. I can offer a means of easy escape for you four, should it be needed. But beyond that, I can only offer healing for the group. I'm not much for offensive spells against the enemy. And I cannot do another charm attempt. Not until I have rested."
Peshley turns to Saerrira. "Surely you have some way to defend yourself. I have seen the power you have with your voice. It's essentially magic. Instead of using it to calm and soothe, why not draw on some darker emotions?"
Cade - Seeing Saerirra was flustered by his questions said to her, "Neither am I, but I know that these (He points to the entranced Gnolls) don't belong and are soil there very ground with every step they take.", He looks back at Peshley, "I'm sorry if I rushed past you I am not meaning to be mean, but there has to be something that we can do to affect a majority of the Gnolls and save the Dwarves at the same time...do you know any spell that can do that to the Gnolls giving Saerrira and I...and her two entranced Gnolls a chance of helping the Dwarves escape?"
"No, I don't have anything that can ffect the whole group unfortunately. I am sure that there is something that I could learn, but without the books...We may need to just take this one step at a time. Let's get inside and deal with each room as we find it. Being quiet and careful is going to be very important."

"We are going to try to be stealthy? I suppose we can try that. Well I will go with whatever you all think is best. All I am concerned with is saving the dwarves. Whether these gnolls live or die means little to me. I realize that is harsh to say, but it's quite clear they are nothing but savages, only slightly more intelligent than the hyenas we faced in the cave before. I will follow in behind all of you at the rear. I recommend Uther take point. He seems itching to fight anyway. I wonder if that's an orc thing? My apologies Uther, if that sounded offensive to you."
Saerirra pulls out her flute and grips it in both hands. She steps up to the entrance but stands at the side to allow her allies to enter ahead of her.
Religion 22 Do Gnolls feel sleepy by any chance? :)
You are not sure if Gnolls sleep or not (Nature Check), but you do know that Yeenoguh is a Demon Prince of the Abyss. According to ancients stories, a pack of Hyenas followed Yeenoguh around, eating the Demons kills along the way, and were transformed into the first Gnolls. Therefore, Gnolls have a direct connection with Yeenoguh, hence the eternal hunger Curse....
Cade - Dismayed at the fact that Peshley doesn't have a spell to affect all of the Gnolls listens to her talk to the others and begins nodding his head regarding how the conversation was going in regards to getting rid of the Gnolls. He looks around and says, "Ok, if we are doing this then let's do it." He will give Bardic Inspiration to Uther since it was decided that he would be at the front of the line by saying, "Lets see if we can find a name for that axe of yours by ridding this place of these Gnolls!", he will get out his sling and ready a steel ball bearing just in case.
"What about these two?"Peshley points to the two gnolls by the fire. "Do we know how long the charm is going to last? Or that they aren't going to give us away somehow at the first sight of their companions? I think we need to deal with them now. Somehow."

"Well, for his axe, at least temporarily, the name Gnollsbane would be fitting, I think. As for those two gnolls, well the charm lasts for an hour. I am not sure how long it has been since I enthralled them, but I would guess we still have quite a bit of time before it wears off.
(DM's call on the actual amount of time left.)
After seeing Cade provide inspiration to Uther, Saerirra decides to do the same for Laievis, humming quietly and pirouetting a moment, trying to remain quiet as to not alert those within the ruins of our presence. (1 D6 for Laievis for the next 10 in-game minutes)
Cade - Hearing Peshley bring up the two Gnolls he says, "What if we had them walk in front of Uther? If they are entranced couldn't they be made to walk ahead of us and if the spell wears off they can be dealt with accordingly. If we attack them now they may alert the others and the element of surprise is lost." Thinking back he says, "Although we could go with the distracting dance routine, but nobody seemed interested in that idea the first time."
"Look at the trouble we have had to do even the simplest things with them so far. I don't think we can count on the charm to help us in amy meaningful way once we get others involved. I don't even know if we can convince them to walk in a particular direction. While they are charmed though it should be easy enough to tie them up and knock them out, or make it more, um, permanent?"
( I cannot believe it took me this long to make this connection)
"Ah!" Saerirra suddenly exclaims when something comes to mind suddenly.
She pulls out the teddy bear. "This thing has transmutation properties. What if they need this thing to turn those poor dwarves into gnolls? Or what if instead this is used to turn them back into dwarves? Does anyone have a means of figuring out the activation process? We could test it on the entranced gnolls. Laievis, ask them if they know how to use this. It's probably a long shot, but if they say they're trying to make more gnolls out of dwarves, maybe they know about this teddy bear!"

"I can confirm if it is magic, but as to how it works, that is beyond me. It will take a few minutes for me to try if you like."
Cade - Says to the group, "Then a coordinated attack: Uther's Axe, Laievis's Arrow, Peshley's Magic, and My Sling while Saerirra distracts them for one last time...it's the only way to make sure they go down and stay down for good without alerting the others."
"They are charmed. Couldn't we just walk quietly up behind them. I mean i have a dagger? I know basic anatomy? It's not like they are exactly fighting back."
"I think we can spare a few minutes, if you're confident you can accurately see how this thing works. All I was able to see is its school of magic and it requires activation with a phrase. As for me distracting the other gnolls inside, as I said before, I cannot do another charm attempt. At best I could simply perform for them and hope that is enough, but no magics will be in use."

"My charm will immediately vanish once they are struck in any fashion, so any attacks against them would need to be swift. Also, we might not want to discuss such things within earshot of them."

I had thought of using the detect magic spell, but it will give no additional information from what we already have.

"Then they must be using the dwarves either for another method of gnoll creation or something else entirely. Either way, I say once the charmed gnolls are asleep or otherwise taken care of and out of our way, and Peshley finishes her check on the teddy bear, we get in there asap!"
Laievis and Peshley both know that Gnolls do sleep (Peshley rolled for it awhile ago).
All you can tell about the teddy bear is that the activation phrase is chosen by the owner, like a personal password. Then the Teddy bear itself would transform into something else...
