Seeing no more immediate threats Fang stops concentrating on his hunters mark, calling Mushu to him at the same time. The little pseudodragon lands lightly on Fang’s shoulder. “Good thing you stayed out of harms way” ... “Yes I saw Rings almost get devoured by the giant one. Just think of what could’ve happened to you. Keep an eye out for anymore of them.” With that Mushu flies up into the darkness keeping all his senses trained on the water surrounding their little island.
Fang offers to heal whichever of the assembled company looks to be the most injured with the remaining magical energy he can call upon today. Then offers the use of his mending dagger in the morning for anyone that needs to patch up their equipment. Afterwards heads to sleep. He can be heard muttering to himself ‘overgrown lizards’ and ‘what does he think I am’.
Shaking himself at how close they were to losing companions, Snively kept moving the Flaming Sphere along the edge of the berm for the rest of its duration to help light up any other threats. “Excellent teamwork. Are we all accounted for, Shae?” The Professor asks, looking around and counting heads himself.
Glasses refreshes his Alarm ritual and magically repairs the earthen berm. Afterwards, he hops off the water barrel and goes back to his place by the fire, needing to make sure he got enough rest to be have a clear head for preparing spells in the morning.
If the crocodiles body could be drugged up a bit for dealing with alter - Maxine would ask Berrus's and Fand's help to do that (four hours it will survive and at the morning they will see) and then return to sleep. Get the rest when friendly local nature/monsters/magic allow you was another skill one learns fast at Chult.
(Obviously, being part of the "emergency team" she would join Shae and Fang on treating the injuries)
Although her magic was successful this time, it was all she had for now. Shae’s attention would snap from her bloodied hands to the Professor when he’d say her name. Her eyes would dart around as if trying to piece together what he had said, though seeing him completing a headcount himself, she’d swallow. Everyone was accounted for, though in varied states. The medic would raise her hand as if to pause Maxine and Fang from spending resources without taking their next steps into account. “If we are taking a short rest before continuing, please, save your reserves.” She’d say a bit firmly. Her eyes go back to scan the wounded.
Shae would move to kneel by Berrus who by technicality, has the most gashes at this time, but who also would argue that he had plenty left to take. She’d let out a bit of an exasperated sigh as she’d look him over. He was okay. And that’s what mattered. The medic will give his shoulder a squeeze. “I’ll deal with you later...” He couldn’t tell if that was playful or not.
The worst off in overall scope was Faekin then Falx, Zip and Captain Pincushion, respectively. Should they be taking a short rest, she would want to see how everyone fairs after the breather before making a final judgement.
Maxine did not argue and if her skills were not needed, went to sleep, compiling in her mind the list of useful crocodile parts. Witch doctors of two tribes were quite particular about them, even if at least half sounded as pure superstition.
After the initial assessment and realizing that they still had a long rest ahead, Shae would sheepishly ask Maxine to mend Faekin and Berrus before she’d lay her head down for the evening. The medic didn’t trust what she had left in the tank to mend those who needed it most. Looking next to Fang with the same ask, she’d ask him to mend Falx. She’d then hold her palms up and out. Calling upon her final reserves for the day, Shae would sing, sending Kam’s magic to wash over the rest.
Healing light: 3 | 3 | 6 (Doing them one at a time to distribute accordingly one at a time. Zip > Captain > top off anyone else if I happen to be lucky with rolls. Edit: 3 + 3 to Zip and 6 to Captain.)
Once everyone was settled for their rest, she’d lay down for hers.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Shae did not have to ask twice (actually, she did not have to ask at all - Maxine considered herself as part of the medic brigade, as much as usefulness of only that simple aspect of her magic saddened her). Berrus and Faekin got 8 and 9 healing charge respectively and if Shae needed help with anything else - she got it too.
With your wounds patched up as good as possible, you try to get back to some semblance of sleep, trusting in the Professor's alarm and the Captain's warning dagger. Most of you find sleep easily, apart from Shae, who is tossing and turning, as if she had a bad dream. Maxine, who's keeping watch, occasionally hears her whisper something, although you don't understand it. Waking up earlier, Shae is taken the last watch, and although the waters creep a little higher, you all pass the rest of the night quietly.
With the first rays of dawn, the light washes over your little island, and the mangrove swamp around you is slowly coming alive, with bird calls and the howls of monkeys, as well as the croaking of frogs and the buzzing of insects filling the air. If anyone had planned on using the crocodile flesh for sustenance, you wake up disappointed: Though the hide of the Alpha is fine, its wounds are black with flies, and you can already see the first maggots wriggling in its flesh. The second carcass, with the hide ruined by Maxine's acid, has fared no better, and it drifts, belly-up about fifty yards from your island, half eaten.
Without more of his goodberries, Fang carefully opens some of the party's bags to withdraw some rations and cook up a meal with them. The hard tack, nuts and dried meat and fat are excellent to store, so he's reluctant to dig into your supplies, but after the night you had, starting with a full stomach is important. With the Professor's help, a small fire is quickly set going.
Shae, looking over Bertrand and Cliff, both seem mostly okay- Cliff's leg will still be splinted for a couple of days, but if he can ride with the supplies on the Professor's disc, he shouldn't slow you down particularly. Bertrand has some bruises from his fall, but he seems to have recovered from his concussion alright, and importantly, he hasn't thrown up during the night.
What do you all want to do before setting off?

"That was fast!" Maxine looked at the lost hip of meat with a disappointment, but the hide could be still intact, plus teeth, brain (definitely a superstition, but worth to look into), may be the bile (that could be true! Both as a poison and anti-poison component) and if heart is intact - as silly as it sounds, but they do use it for potions.
To skin the crocodile Maxine asked Fang's help - she could make a tanning solution, even without magic, but to properly skin and preliminary treat the hide, that would need some guidance.
(She did not forget about the "morning potion" either: 1 - Flight. The drinker gains a flying speed of 10 feet for 10 minutes. And that she had every intention to try by herself!)
The Professor has no special skill with skinning crocs, but he will perform a ritual to summon his Unseen Servant and directs him to assist the skinners. Primarily, though, he focuses on preparing to travel with the Floating Disk ritual.

When Fang rises following the mid night battle (or is that midnight) he starts to go over to the crocodile to begin preparing it for breakfast. Only to stop short upon seeing its condition after the few hours it sat unguarded. ‘Shoulda known better than to leave it’ Fang laments to himself. ‘Maybe I can get a somewhat decent shield from this hulking beast’ (cunning artisan, not sure if I need to roll anything) ‘Even if I can’t get a shield out of it, I should be able to get several new darts from both the Alpha and the little one’ (again not sure if you want me to roll for it)
Calling Mushu over to let him know he needs to find his own fresh meat for breakfast this morning. Fang reminds himself to keep his eyes peeled for any ‘meat’ that he can collect on the travel today.
With Shae’s assessment of the wounded and her recommendation for Cliff to ride on the floating disk. Fang offers to carry any equipment that needs to come off of the disk, should any need to be removed to allow for Cliff to travel on it.
Fang readily and ... seemingly happily helps Maxine and Berrus skinning the crocodile(s) and would then set about making a shield(if possible) and darts while Maxine experienced her first flight. Fang would take a few moments to collect a couple of the larger teeth from each croc to add to his necklace.
Once those tasks were accomplished Fang would confer with Shae and Glasses on the route ensuring they were still heading in the right direction. When it’s time for the group to depart Fang will travel 90 feet ahead of the rest of the group keeping an eye out for any wildlife he can collect for later meals and Mushu will be with whomever is at the lead of the rest of the procession so Fang is able to communicate with the group despite being so far away.
The skinning of the crocodile is quick work with three sets of hands helping, and while Maxine gladly takes the various organs for her own experiments, Fang starts to work on skinning the beast and cutting the hide into strips to be used later. The large back portion he sets aside for later, to cover a wicker shield or something. Then he expertly removes the teeth and bores small holes to thread them onto his necklace, before moving on to carve darts out of the longer straight bones in the limbs of the Alpha.
After he's stripped the animal, there are several pieces of hide still left, which may be turned into other items further down the line.
Maxine, you are very happy to realise that you succeeded in brewing your first fly potion. You can tell by the many bubbles in the liquid.
Fang takes about an hour for his work, is the rest content to wait?
Fang, If you want to finish the shield, you need to invest about another hour or so, weaving the main body of it out of wicker or reeds or something similar, to then cover in the hide. For now, you've cut out your pieces and preserved them as best you can. The darts you have available already (4 of them).
