The crocodile is surprised by the sudden appearance of a flaming sphere out of nowhere, slomming into it just shortly after it had managed to drag Falx to the water's edge. Taking the momentary halt in the creature's attempt to drag Falx under water, Berrus dashes forward and carves a deep gash into the crocodile's neck. It seems to hang to life only by a thread, yet all the more determined to drag Falx down for its kin to feast on.

Seeing the crocodile trying to drag Falx into the murky water Fang rushes forward, spear in hand, and attempts to run his spear between the creatures eyes to have it end its grasp on Falx.

After his attack on the Crocodile, Fang will tell Mushu to keep clear of the crocodiles so as to not be gobbled up by them.
Dazed by Berrus' vicious blow, the spear finds its target, piercing the creature's skull. A few moments later, its jaw slackens, and Falx quickly retreats, bleeding profusely from his leg, but now back onto dry land.
Before you have time to celebrate though, you hear a cry of alarm from Cliff, as a hulking beast at least twice the size of the previous crocodile bursts out of the murky depths and gets onto the berm. In a very fast motion, it strikes Bertrand with its heavy tail, knocking him flat in the middle of trying to get into his armour. Bertrand rolls to the side however and comes to a stand fluidly again, a couple feet to the side of where he had been struck. Though standing, Bertrand seems dazed by the blow, and close to passing out.
Before he can come to Bertrand's aid though, the large crocodile snaps its maw shut around Cliff's right leg. Unlike Bertrand though, Cliff relies on his reflexes and toughness, and he rapidly withdraws his leg from the beast's maw, which snaps at the air frustratedly. You suddenly see a change coming over Cliff however, as his pulse quickens and the veins in his neck and on his forehead start to bulge. With sheer fury, he starts to pummel the crocodile with his bare hands.
Brax very quickly steps up besides Cliff and starts to furiously jab at the crocodile with his spear held in both hands, but not wanting to injure Cliff, his thrusts aren't precise enough. Zip meanwhile quickly grabs his electrified crossbow and starts to don his armour to get ready to fight off more of the creatures.

Biting back a scream of frustration, the medic will put herself between Bertrand and any threat. Shae will call upon crackling energy, hurling it towards the creature clamped on Cliffs legs. These poor souls have suffered enough! Familiar pink sparkles will trickle from the warlock, surrounding Bertrand.

Attempting to buy his companions some time to ready themselves, the Professor steps back a bit away from the big crocodile, trying to get the bulk of the water barrel between himself and the massive creature. He then focuses on a fist-sized rock exposed by his berm-building and uses his magic to sling it at the crocodile alpha! Seeing his Flaming Sphere just barely close enough, he flicks his wrist and sends it to the big croc as well, hoping the massive beast tries to bite it instead of one of his friends.

Why those pesky amphibians had to be so far apart! Still, at least once during attack she had to try something, preventing monsters from attacking. She narrowed her eyes at the newly appeared monster and sent a ray of sickening greenish energy (looking quite in place in that swamp) in his direction:

Fang would look around his immediate location for an elevated position from which he could shoot at the larger of the two remaining crocodiles. “It’s like I said earlier Shae. Am I able to make it food before it does the same to me.” Turning his attention to the larger crocodile “Begone beast and let us rest In peace.” hunter’s mark Then reaching out to Mushu “I could use your help on this one pal” With Mushu’s assistance Fang takes careful aim at the beast looking for a vulnerable bit of exposed flesh and then looses the arrow towards the massive croc.

The crocodile is cumbersome due to its size, and fails to avoid the catapulted rock, and the flaming sphere manages to singe part of the softer underbelly of the crocodile alpha, although it seems largely unfazed by the fiery sphere.
Dashing forward, Berrus slices at the smaller crocodile threatening Shae. The blow connects, and you can see a gash cleaved into the thick hide on the side of the creature. Maxine quickly doubles up on the smaller of the two beasts, catching the crocodile fully in the ray of sickening green energy. Upon contact with the crocodile, you can almost see its hide shrivel and decay under the poisonous substance. Guess that crocodile won't make a good bag anymore, as parts of its flesh start to slough off. It looks awful and crazed by pain.
Fang, seeing your chance to make up for the misses against the troll, you take aim at the large crocodile, but your arrow skids off the hardenened layer of scales on the Alpha's back.
Bertrand, almost knocked unconscious by the large crocodile, is terrified and tries to scramble as close to Maxine as possible, hoping that her unnatural calm and her dark magics will keep him safe.
The large crocodile, having been pummeled by Cliff, is enraged and snaps at his legs again, this time, finding their mark. You can hear the awful sound of the bones in his leg crack under the pressure of the crocodile's mighty jaw, and Cliff, though still furious, looks badly hurt. Seeing the Professor trying to fling rocks at it, it uses its powerful tail to strike at him. Having watched the creature closely however, the Professor is able to duck the tail.

Fangs spirits would rise as he watches the arrow flying straight and try to its mark only to have them dashed as the arrow skitters off the beasts hide. ‘I’ll need to pick a better spot next time. Something more fleshy and less scale-y’ Fang thinks to himself getting ready to make another attack on the large croc. Taking a breath to steady himself and shake off his run of bad luck. He releases his arrow as he releases his breath ...
Shae, your eldritch energy hits the Alpha, and although you can see the energy pepnetrate, it seems to do little to disturb the crocodile. To his frustration, another of Fang's arrows splinters against the Alpha's thick hide, but in its struggle, it's unable to get away from the flaming sphere and is burned again. Now armoured and ready, Brax and Zip manage to drive off the smaller crocodile, which disappears in the murky waters, bleeding. Meanwhile, Cliff is trying desperately to escape from the steely maw, gritting his teeth through the pain, but failing to do so.

"We must save Cliff!" exclaims the Professor, wracking his brain for tactics. With a flick of his hand, he hurls the Flaming Sphere at one side of the crocodile's head. Grabbing the water with his magic, he tries to force it down the crocodile's open gullet, trying to choke it so it lets go of his porter.
Shape Water used to forcibly relocate a lot of water into the croc's mouth--no damage, but maybe a save of some kind save versus his spell DC of 14 to keep from releasing Cliff?

The alpha takes the full brunt of both the Professor's and Berrus' attacks, and surprised, opens its mouth and is flushed back by the brackish water. Confused and angry, it too dives below the waves.
There are no more crocs on your island and a badly bleeding Cliff collapses on the floor, his broken leg unable to hold up his weight. You can still make out the shapes of the crocs in the water, but they're about twenty feet away from you. Bertrand quickly pulls Cliff closer to Shae and away from the berm. Zip quickly advances to the edge of the berm, and lets fly one of his crackling bolts at the smaller croc, and you can all see the electric discharge in the water briefly illuminate the shape of the small crocodile, but otherwise you're unaware of what the bolt did, as the crocodile is still swimming in wide circles. Falx similarly tries to fire at the large alpha, but although the bolt was on target, you doubt that it penetrated the creature's thick hide.

Shae’s eyes blink a few times before falling distant. The warlock will snap into a different frame of mind and just begin moving with the motions. No longer allowing herself to be concerned with the threats, she will pair with Bertrand to pull Cliff and the injured her way to the centre. With shaking and bloodied hands, Shae will prepare tourniquets and wraps. This time not even looking at the moon, she will simply concentrate on Cliffs wounds, imagining if she had all the supplies at her disposal and how she’d follow through with the procedure. In familiar melodic voice, Shae would call upon Kam’s magic to mend his wounds.
Shae, to your relief, the air fills with the bright sparks of light you're used to, and slowly, they stop the bleeding and set the splintered bone. You make sure to bind the wound and splint the leg to aid in the healing long-term, but Cliff is well enough to get up with your help.
Berrus, the large crocodile seems to be circling around the island, observing your group, and desperately looking for a weak spot.

The alpha takes the full brunt of both the Professor's and Berrus' attacks, and surprised, opens its mouth and is flushed back by the brackish water. Confused and angry, it too dives below the waves.
There are no more crocs on your island and a badly bleeding Cliff collapses on the floor, his broken leg unable to hold up his weight. You can still make out the shapes of the crocs in the water, but they're about twenty feet away from you. Bertrand quickly pulls Cliff closer to Shae and away from the berm. Zip quickly advances to the edge of the berm, and lets fly one of his crackling bolts at the smaller croc, and you can all see the electric discharge in the water briefly illuminate the shape of the small crocodile, but otherwise you're unaware of what the bolt did, as the crocodile is still swimming in wide circles. Falx similarly tries to fire at the large alpha, but although the bolt was on target, you doubt that it penetrated the creature's thick hide.

Shae’s eyes blink a few times before falling distant. The warlock will snap into a different frame of mind and just begin moving with the motions. No longer allowing herself to be concerned with the threats, she will pair with Bertrand to pull Cliff and the injured her way to the centre. With shaking and bloodied hands, Shae will prepare tourniquets and wraps. This time not even looking at the moon, she will simply concentrate on Cliffs wounds, imagining if she had all the supplies at her disposal and how she’d follow through with the procedure. In familiar melodic voice, Shae would call upon Kam’s magic to mend his wounds.

Shae, to your relief, the air fills with the bright sparks of light you're used to, and slowly, they stop the bleeding and set the splintered bone. You make sure to bind the wound and splint the leg to aid in the healing long-term, but Cliff is well enough to get up with your help.
Berrus, the large crocodile seems to be circling around the island, observing your group, and desperately looking for a weak spot.
