“The hole looked big enough to do something with. Should be able to run air into it I suppose” Fang pauses to think a moment, “Don’t know too much about boats, but I think the whole on the bottom will be a problem later. Also as I was coming up with Faekins pack, I saw a shark cone over and start circling the boat. Could be riskier if I need to go back down to the boat. I assume I need to for your idea to work Glasses?”
Fang takes the pack and sets it near the middle of the raft and takes a moment to catch his breath while waiting for Glasses reply.
”That’s all I can think of with my magic, Fang, although I could put an Unseen Servant on the sea floor with you if that helps—maybe to distract the sharks or something,” says the Professor. “If we can float the boat, I can conjure a temporary patch for the hole—hopefully it will last long enough to bring it back to shore.”
The Professor tries to consider if there is anything else he might be able to use his magic to help with...
Fang wonders aloud ... “anything useful in that pack?” As he continues to sit on the raft catching his breath getting ready for a possible return trip down to the boat.
Professor, as you think on what other methods you might use, you keep getting distracted by the reflection of sunlight off of Fang's golden needle, sown directly into his pants. You try to focus your mind, when suddenly you have an idea: maybe, if the damage was limited enough, it could be mended underwater, returning the boat to its original condition. All you'd need was a way to get the mast down to the rest of the boat.
Fang, the only thing that is still of any use are five candles, which should still burn easily once dried off, a small jar of honey, and some navigation equipment. The dried meats that weren't eaten already have started to rot underwater, and the torches, tinder and the sleeping roll are hopelessly wet and useless as a result.

Relating his idea to the others, the Professor says, “There is a chance, since it still radiates magic, that if we bring all the pieces together, we can mend it enough for the transformation magic to be effective once more. Let’s go get the mast and see if that works. I can keep scanning for magic as we go so we can find any other parts that may be missing.”

Fang offers his assistance in boat pieces retrieval and further offers to bring them down to the boat. Preparing for another dive into the water, Fang makes sure to have his dagger and spear easily accessible in case the sharks get aggressive.
Shae would communicate with the others on the raft to paddle accordingly to navigate their way according to the Professor's direction to retrieve the missing puzzle pieces of the boat. She'd also keep an eye on the Captain as well, to see if she senses anything ominous as they busy themselves with other tasks.
Professor, you notice only the wreck of the boat, the mast and any other pieces are more than thirty feet away, so maybe it's because of that, or maybe the remaining parts don't have any magic left. In any case, Shae and the crew paddle you onwards towards the mast, as Fang readies his weapons. Reaching the mast, you see that the damage isn't too great. The mast snapped, and there are some scratches on it, as well as some of the bindings coming loose, but the sail and crossbeams are still intact. The only question is, how are you going to make what amounts to a large tree sink 30 feet below water?

“Well done,” says the Professor as they bring the mast over the rest of the boat, now just separated by 30 feet of water. Looking at their options, Snively says, “Well, we have a rope attached to the boat below, so we could rig a pulley to attach to the mast stub on the boat and those of us on the raft could all pull up, which should bring the mast down to the stub.” Looking at Fang, he adds, “I should be able to conjure a pulley that will work, but I will need one end of the rope attached to the mast, the other end of the rope run through the pulley and held on board our raft, and you, Fang, to swim the pulley down to the stump of the mast and attach it so we can winch the mast down to you.”

Berrus, you manages to get two more fish, and as you return, you see that Cliff and Bertrand have started to gut and smoke the second one to keep longer, after having eaten the first.
"What do you think, should we try to find some more food in the forest? The others will be glad if they don't have to worry about foraging when they come back", Cliff suggests.

Brax and Thessalandra grab a hold onto the mast, and you quickly attach the rope and the pulley. "What are we going to do about those sharks?" Falx asks, pointing to the two moving shapes down below.
I'm going to turn this into a combined challenge:
Four of your team will need to pull on the rope to lower the mast and can only start helping with other things once the rope and pulley are detached from the mast. The ship will need mending on the mast and the hole, for a total of two castings, to be repaired. Once repaired, the rope and pulley need to be detached. Then, someone is needed to speak the command word to turn the ship back into a box to be taken back up to the surface.
Up to you to decide who does what and how, then I want you all to roll initiative to get this salvage operation started.

Looking at Fang, the Professor says, "I can make you invisible as long as you do not attack or cast a spell--and I don't think using the magic item counts, but I'm not sure. That should hopefully keep the sharks away while you mend the ship." Turning to Maxine, he adds, "Unfortunately, my power is insufficient to make two invisible at once."

Fang finds some comfort in Maxines words, beginning to feel like he belongs with the this strange group giving her a respectful nod. “You’ll keep an eye on Mushu for me while I’m down there?” Fang inquires of the group as he looks over to Mushu, who has made himself comfortable on Shae’s shoulder.
”You keep an eye on them won’t you” Fang says to Mushu with his thoughts. As he sits on the edge of the raft. Ready to go when everyone else is.
The Professor casts Invisibility on Fang and considers what colorful shapes he might be able to make in the water to distract the sharks if necessary. He settles on readying to change the opacity in the water around a shark from clear to as dark as possible should one get too close to Fang—maybe that will scare it off.
