"None of that now, I'm not in a very good mood, and it's not helped by the fact that you just dumped a Mourner in the Mournland with the confessed intent to murder the crew," Athela says coldly, pressing the staff's end down a little bit, but making sure the goblin still has enough air to breathe - and talk. "Who are you working for? Or with?"
"HuRkK!" she strains. "I'm the apprentice of Ziggy. We worked together while both of us were captives to House Cannith. I learned to make explosives there. I'm sure House Cannith is going to use the technology they're making to start war all over again, like this ship."
"Ziggy...the gnome in the brig of our ship?" Athela's eyes narrow. "And captives of House Cannith...Cora, your persuasion tactics may be needed with Angelica again soon." She turns her attention back to the goblin. "House Cannith lost almost everything to the Mourning. Why in Khyber would they want to risk it again? Unless...war economy. Of course." She mutters a curse in Goblin. "Damn profiteering, loyaless Houses. Didn't the Last War cost people enough?" She lifts her quarterstaff just a bit so that the goblin's airflow is easier. "So say you did bring down this airship. Cannith's already proved they can and will make multiple. What makes this one special? Does it have to do with Angelica? What's her connection to House Cannith, other than the Thirteen?"
Cora brightens up. "Ah, excellent."she slams her fist into her open palm. "Persuasion, noice. I'm good at that shit."
"There's nothing special about this ship, i'm just a god damn radical." the goblin squawks. "I don't know who Angelica is. Are you gonna keep asking me questions, let me go, or kill me. I don't care which but shut the hell up already. I ain't got nuttin else to say."
Cora grabs her by the collar and starts dragging her outside. "Excellent. You can take a ******* swim in the lake then. Hope you can swim, you little turdburger."
Athela puts her quarterstaff away. "Well, I'm hardly one to interfere with a morning bath," she says cooly, nodding at Cora and rolling herself on deck. "Perhaps after you've helped her with that Cora, we can go have a chat with Angelica." Her eyes are still icy cold with fury. "And talk about House Cannith, and how another war is not what this continent needs right now."
Willow remains quiet through the interrogation, opting to let Cora and Athela handle it, looking menacing behind them with her hand firmly gripped on her rapier and her claws, fangs, and fur present around her body. When the suggestion of the lake is brought up, Willowd ears perk. "Perhaps. If she's not willing to talk to us, maybe we should tie something heavy to her ankles. If she'd rather accept death, then make it as miserable as possible. Drowning. The feeling of pressure on your body as the air leaves your lungs. Arguably worse than burning to death." She then looks away from the goblin and to her sister. "A conversation with Angelica is definantly necessary."

Athela shrugs. "If she can swim, let her swim. I'm far more concerned about Angelica, and we shouldn't waste time trying to make a death as miserable as possible for our own satisfaction." She gives her sister a serious look. "Lines, remember? Mother gave us this speech enough times, I'm sure I don't need to repeat it."
Willow raises an eyebrow at her sister before stepping closer to her, whispering quietly just out of earshot. "Yes. I am aware of the lectures. I often got them more than you did. I was simply trying to scare the terrorists. Maybe the thought of a long painful death would force her to tell us more info. Personally, drowning someone isnt on my bucket list."

Athela shrugs and whispers back. "She told us what she wanted and why she did it, the rest we can likely get from Angelica just as easily. And I'm hardly inclined to threaten someone with whom I find myself to agree with more than not. You and I both know better than most the price of the Last War, Willow. Can you imagine if it started again, and this time for simple profit rather than the rightful ascension to a throne? Another Mourning might not even stop it."
After chiding herself for stabbing Cora in the back, and interrogating the goblin then most likely drown the stupid thing, Bea approaches the rogue with a sheepish smile on her face. "I'm sorry for stabbin' you in the back there, sugar, it was a mistake, promise. I do hope you can forgive me some..." She pouts a little bit. "I can heal you right quick, just stand still, won't hurt none." She then leans in and gives Cora big smooch on the lips and heals her for 5.

Cora punted the gnome off the bow of the ship, and gave her a sarcastic salute in farewell. She came back to see Bea looking a little ashamed and very sorry.
"Baby, don't worry about it. Mistakes happen. Besides, I like it when you heal me."
Cora wished her kisses would last forever. She could never get over the feeling of her lips pressed against hers, feeling her warmth, but when they pulled away she smiled and just looked at her.
Athela rolls herself towards Angelica's quarters as the happy couple finish their kiss. "Right then, shall we have a chat with the Lady d'Sivis regarding the consequences of war?" Her eyes are still furious and her body lines stiff with anger.
Cora kicks open the door to Angelica's room, and with a loud startled scream Angelica jolts violently and visibly. Cora rushes to grab her in the gnome's panic, and slams her against one of the walls very roughly.
"Alright, you ******* piece of shit."Cora growled, her whole body and muscles tense with anger and the urge to kick some ass. "The paraplegic's got some questions for you, and Gods help me I will murder you messily right here and now if you're don't tell her what she wants to hear."
Athela wheels herself into the cabin, eyes cool with a spark of anger still in them. "Lady d'Sivis. We caught the saboteur, by the way. A goblin who was of the opinion that you were allied with House Cannith, who planned to start another war. Of course, I'm sure that's not the case, hmm? After all the Last War was a horrific, bloody fiasco that killed thousands and nearly destroyed the continent. Not to mention the risk of another Mourning." Her eyes practically skewer Angelica. "Then again, you are here, aboard an experimental airship - one with weapons, apparently - built by House Cannith, with proof that Cannith can and will build more. What use would there be for such weapons of war...unless another one truly was seen in the future?" She smiles coldly at Angelica. "Perhaps you can help clarify the matter, Lady d'Sivis. Starting with your connection to House Cannith and exactly what their intentions are with this airship.and its ilk."
"AUcKk!"she squeaks out, "Alright! Alright! It's possible I once killed a kalashtar while he was meditating and trying to commune with his quori spirit guide. I realize that was a big mistake! HRrghh!! Later, I served with a group of sky pirates, and the kalashtar caught up to me - the group that attacked us, the Dream Raiders, have hunted me for years. I'm is trying to reform my ways, but my past has a way of catching up to me. I don't know anything about House Cannith! I made a lot of enemies as a pirate, nothing more!"
With the way Cora is looking at Angelica, and knowing damn well the rogue would gut her and wear her intestines as a new necklace, the gnome is 100% telling the truth.
After finishing her task of helping to straighten up the galley, Vignette heads back up and joins the rest of the group, currently interrogating Angelica. With this being her first time out of the convent, she has no clue as to the history of the house wars the group is discussing. Surprised by the animosity and shouting, she decides to hang back near the rear of the group, and just silently listen in.
Athela hesitates for a moment, then sighs, nodding at Cora. "She's telling the truth. Put her down." The half-orc turns her chair back towards the cabin door. "I apologize for the roughness, Lady d'Sivis, but I'm sure you understand the motivation. The continuation of the Last War is not something to be taken lightly. Last time it destroyed an entire nation, the ruins of which we are even now sailing away from. If a House is trying to start it again for profit...well, I'm sure you have the imagination to know how that would go." She turns her head to meet the gnome's eyes for a moment, something almost regal in her bearing. "Even if you don't know about House Cannith's plans, you are still sailing their ship, so you clearly have some sort of contacts within the House. Should you discover House Cannith really is engineering such a plan, I hope you will make the right choice." Her eyes, cool and flinty, hold Angelica's gaze for one more moment, the hint of a threat in them before she wheels herself out the door, giving Vignette a brief nod on the way out.
Once on deck, the anger and poise drain from Athela, leaving her looking tired and sad. She sits at the very back of the ship, watching the mist-covered shoreline of the Mournland recede ever farther away with a mix of grief and...longing?
Willow follows after her sister, sitting cross legged beside her. Her fangs, claws, and fur had dissapeared from earlier and she glances up at Athela. "Hey... Dumb question... But are you okay? Obviously you're not... but do you want to talk about it?" She lightly takes her sisters hand in hers and looks off in the distance with her, leaving the answer up to Athela. If she wanted to talk, Willow would listen, but if she didnt, that was alright too. Just being there was enough to Willow. Athela was all she had and she wouldnt let that change for the worse.
