Yusdrayl permits you to rest in her domain, and escorts you briefly around the area. The door at the far end of the hall opens into a wide and high chamber where several small but smoky fires, pits, tanning racks, and other implements of a primitive culture are visible through the haze. Several small figures busily work and play within the chamber. This appears to be where the bulk of the colony reside, and you are invited to use the cooking fires if you choose. Otherwise there is an empty room on the south side of the parallel corridor, and another adjoining the room with the dragon cage, that you may sleep in. You also notice three other rooms that seem to operate as kobold guard stations, and Yusdrayl makes it clear that the kobolds will respond rapidly and brutally to any betrayal of their hospitality. You also can't help but notice that another room in the centre of the complex seems to be a prison of some kind, and guttural voices of complaint are heard when the doors are briefly opened.

As they are shown around the area the voices in paricularcatch Royan's interest. He listens closely to see if they ar ein a language he understands. (Common & Orc). If they are he is going to try and walk as close to those doors as he can to catch any piece of what might be said.
Perception: 13
"If it's all the same with you, I think it may be best to take one of the unoccupied rooms. That way any comings and goings wont disturb us. Maybe the one half way along the corridor?"
Royan: The doors are locked and also barred on the outside with an iron rod, but you can hear some scratchy whining voices from within. The voices are very different sounding than the kobolds' but you can tell they are speaking in another primitive type of Common. However before you are able to make out any of the words, a few kobold guards approach and ask you to move along.

"Thank you for your hospitality" Kaylyn says to Yusdrayl as she shows them around. While she shows a mild concern for the voices that she heard (Perception 16) she says nothing at the moment. When shown a room to stay in she settles into a corner.
She whispers to the others when they are left alone. "We do not have their trust yet, nor do they have mine. I say we take watches while we sleep and I will take the last watch if no one objects."
If the others are in agreement she will eat a small meal and then fall asleep to rest before taking the last watch.
Kastix looks at Ireniana "You're one of those sleep four hours types right?" Kastix is sitting up in his bedroll while hugging his backpack of stuff to his chest, "I'll take second watch but first anyone got a bell?"

Brushing away age-old debris and detritus, you make yourselves as comfortable as possible in the stark stone room. Small noises of claws on stone can be heard throughout your rest as kobold guards patrol the hall, and the occasional wail from whatever is imprisoned in the room across the hall, but nothing that disturbs your respite.
You all gain the benefit of a long rest. I don't think anyone used any Hit Dice, but you all have full health and all abilities and spell slots restored.

The rest was quiet and uneventful. Royan was ready to move on. Helping these kobolds was an extra that he did not expect, but it would give him the opportunity to look around.
You awake refreshed, but somewhat disoriented not really knowing whether it is day or night. Opening your door you see that Meepo is patiently crouching just outside, eager to serve those who have promised to rescue his beloved Calcryx. As you prepare to leave, several kobold guards wander past but show little interest.
Meepo leads you back into and across the 'dragon room' with the cage, and through a door in the northeast corner that leads into a corridor. Taking a couple of bends, you see two more kobolds sitting at the head of the the last 40-foot stretch of the corridor, keeping watch. At the end of the corridor is a door, and Meepo stops here and turns to you.
This back way. Kobold no come more this way. But Meepo come with you now.
With a quivering hand he pushes open the door and steps furtively inside.
Let me know if there is anything you wanted to do before leaving, and I'll retro it in.
I'll assume marching order is as before, unless anyone wants to change it up: Royan, Ireniana, Kastix, Kaylyn, Rhayna.
After a good night's sleep Kaylyn follows the others as they make their way down the corridor. She waits to see what Royan sees when Meepo opens the door.
Kastix will never be first through into the unknown.
