Kastix manages to unravel the complex variety of tracks in the dust. Large rodent tracks can be seen, but all are over a month old. Some human tracks appear to be about 3 weeks old, and there appear to be four humans involved. And less than a week old are barefoot tracks of goblins and larger goblinoids, perhaps hobgoblin or bugbear tracks, as well as some claw and tail tracks of a small dragon wyrmling that was being half-dragged.
(I might be out for most of today. Fun stuff ahead tho)

As Meepo opens the door to the room, Royan notices that there are tracks on the ground. Something has obviously been here before, but they make no sense to him. Of course, something has been here before,Royan shakes his head. Otherwise, Meepo wouldn't be bringing us here.
Royan steps carefully into the room, sticking to the right-hand wall, trying not to disturb the tracks.
Rhayna will just hang back, and follow the others. Maybe she will be looking for something interesting to record on her Journal.

Royan makes his way around the right hand side of the room to the door on the far side. He stops and calls to look at Meepo as he studies the door. "Anything I need to know before I open this?"
Perception: 10 (checking the door for anything that looks out of place or noises on the other side)
Sorry Kaylyn, I didn't see your post or your rolls, so I narrated it for Kastix. We'll say you both saw them and discussed their interpretation together.
Hearing no disturbances, Royan opens the next door.
Dust and odd bits of stony debris and rubble lie scattered on the floor of the next room. An ornate fountain is built into the eastern wall. Though cracked and stained, the fountain's overarching carving of a diving dragon retains its beauty. A relief-carved stone door stands on the western wall - the carvings resemble skeletal dragons, and there is a Draconic inscription over the doorway.
For those that read Draconic:
The inscription over the western door reads: Rebuke the dead, open the way.

A thin layer of scum coats the fountain's basin, but it is otherwise dry. As Rhayna searches for details in the stonework, she notices a mostly worn-away inscription in Draconic on the basin's front. Making a mental note to start learning Draconic when next she returned to civilisation, she turned to her companions for an interpretation.
As Kastix approaches the door, he notices that the air is considerably cooler in the vicinity. He also notices a slot in the ceiling above the door, but cannot determine what purpose it serves. It is about 5 feet wide and runs parallel with the wall.

Kaylyn studies the inscription on the fountain. "It says 'Let there be fire' on the fountain." She tells the others. She also moves and examines the slot over the door trying to work out why it would be there.
Kastix will tell Kaylyn "Something's cold behind that door and there's a slot above it which I can't figure out yet,"

As Kaylyn speaks the words written on the fountain, a reddish liquid issues from the dragon's mouth and accumulates in the basin of the fountain.
As you all discuss the door, you also notice that the door itself is cold to the touch. You can't determine the purpose of the slot above it other than that something is probably supposed to either go into it or come out of it.
Royan, from your position in the corridor you can see that there is a dead end to the east and a door to the west. Further north the corridor extends beyond your sight, but there seem to be several doors to the east and west within the corridor itself.

"I don't touch weird doors for sure. Meepo can you tell Kaylyn about this door?" Kastix will leave the door with the relief alone to check out the hallways for tracks of the dragon, goblins and etc.
OOC: Feel almost like Kastix will need to learn Knock spell just for all of these locked doors. I think Kastix is able to see the footsteps of those who built this lace centuries ago.

Kastix goes to chat with Royan and together they check out the tracks. From what Kastix can see, the goblinoids took the dragon down the west passage and through the door. It appears there was one bugbear, two hobgoblins and four goblins in the party that captured the dragon. As for the older human tracks, four pairs of tracks went up the north passage, but only three came back. The four that went north include the footprints of what appear to be two males wearing heavy armor, one soft-soled female, and one male wearing wilderness boots. Only the first three sets of tracks returned, and these also took the passage to the west. There are also a variety of very recent large rodent tracks throughout all the corridors, particularly to the north.

"Rebuke the dead, open the way." Kaylyn muses after watching a reddish liquid issues from the dragon's mouth and accumulate in the basin of the fountain. "Not sure I want to touch this liquid. But I wonder if the key to opening the door is for one to speak the words that make undead flee. I have heard those who have the power of their god can do such things."
