Twiglet and Tallanvor's arrow strike two stirges causing them to fall to the floor. The remaining three drop down and start crowding the party. Roars swings and misses one, but Twiglet manages to snipe it before it gets too close. Humblodt lets loose his sling killing another one.
Twiglet grins wildly a his arrow brings down one of the ghastly flying creatures. He was used to using his bow to mostly fire tow-lines...through window bars or over roof gables. Shooting with no string hanging from the arrows is easier than he thought.
He ducks Ro’s wild slashing at the air and shoots one more that is heading straight for her.
"That was...swift", says Humblodt with obvious satisfaction. "However, Gundred's brother was not slain by these critters", he continues, kicking one of the bloated, bat-like corpses in disdain.
Looking around the room, to the right of the tunnel you entered from is a corridor with craved walls and unlit lanterns. At the end of the corridor, you see a large pile of stones from a cave in. Either side of the corridor are two broken doors. Straight ahead of you is another tunnel similar to the one you came from. To the left, a straight tunnel which appears to cross another further up, and ends in a door set into the cave wall.

While retrieving his arrows from the Stirges, Twiglet looks in interest at them. They look too grotesque to eat and none of the rest of the party seem interested in collecting or butchering them, so Twiglet decides not to draw ridicule by trying.
He then climbs up the walls to try to get at the brass lanterns, if that's possible. If it his, he asks down to the others if he should light them.
Twiglet detects no traps and lights all of the lanterns without incident. In the light you can now see that the rock fall is very large and seems to be blocking a large passage at the far end of the corridor. The carvings on the walls show dwarves, gnomes and humans in different scenes. Some show miners, others blacksmiths, jewellery makers, soldiers and mages.
The skeletons in the pile at the center of the room look old and have been picked clean of any meat. Similarly, while you can see the remains of armour and weapons in the pile that are mostly rust now.
Twiglet when lighting the most northern lanterns notices that the door in the wall there is not shut tight, but sitting open just a little. The corridor just outside it leads to the mining area Roars found earlier, on one side, but also further into the cavern on the other.

Tallanvor waits for the group and listens to see if there are any sounds coming from the eastern door. If there are no sounds, he carefully opens the door with his mace at the ready shining the light in front of him.
If he is within melee range, Humblodt will use his shillelagh to thwack-a-bat, else he will use his sling.
