When Twiglet mentions setting off the trap, Ro follows his gaze back to the tethered goblin and her face breaks into a huge grin. She nudges Twiglet, nods, and gives him a thumbs up. But then at Tallanvor's suggestion of assaulting the lair her eyes go wide and she starts making frantic 'no' gestures with her hands. As is becoming her habit, she turns to Twiglet to interpret her signing:
[Goblin caves full of traps. Horrible place to fight. Cave is too dark for humans, roof too short for elves, and fighting too close for bows and spells. Better to fight outside under the sky.]
Twiglet passes on Ro's message. She certainly should know most about goblin warrens. "I will try to see what is in there and see if we can draw them out...to...do...whatever you need to do".
Scouting a cave is certainly new to Twiglet, but he hopes it won’t be too different to scouting the secret entrance to that wierd cultists’ place which happened to be through some abandoned crypts.
Time to earn your keep thinks Twiglet. “I’m ready” he says to Tallanvo. “You should all wait off the track somewhere. If I come out slowly, it’s fine. If I come out running, their behind me. If I don’t come out at all in 30 minutes...come look for me.”
with that, Twiglet finds a bush to hide in and watch the entrance for at least 10 minutes. This is all a bit rushed in his opinion. You’d normally case a job for a day or more, to get the guard rotation and that sort of thing...but a job is a job and this one is unlikely to be the worst.
Edited after seeing Ro's post (seeing on the phone isn't great)
Nothing comes or goes from the entrance in the 10 minutes you watch it. (Twiglet's passive perception 13) However if you listen carefully, just above the sound of the trickling steam, you heard growls and whimpering coming from inside the cave entrance.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Well, Twiglet ventures in, moving as quietly as possible, making use of any shadows etc and eyes wide open for tracks, triggers and tell-tales. Focus is on stealth, not speed. As soon as my way is blocked by guards that look aware, I will retreat. If they look VERY distracted, I will move past them. My aim is to package the goblins I see into handleable sized groups. Especially looking for ways they might alert each other...normal thief stuff
Not sure what to roll, so I will do stealth and perception
Twiglet walks into the cave missing the path off to the side that runs behind the bushes on the east bank of the river. As he steps into the cave mouth, he finds a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. It is filled with the stench of animals and the sound of savage snarls and rattling chains greet your ears. Twiglet can just see where three wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf’s chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.
As Roar approaches the cave entrance, she notices the path behind the hedge and follows it briefly. She finds a small area in the briar thickets has been hollowed out to form a lookout post or blind. Wooden planks flatten out the briars and provide room for guards to lie hidden and watch the area — including three goblins lurking there right now!
Fortunately, they are lazing around, one is napping, while the other two are arguing, so didn't notice the halfling sneaking past.

Seeing the three goblins, Ro takes a few steps back until the nearest party member can see her and waves to get their attention. She points to her eyes, then into the thicket, and then holds up 3 fingers. Then she points to herself, hoists her scimitars, and jerks her head towards the thicket.
OOC:
If any of the party members immediately move to join her she'd wait to continue until they're close enough to at least provide some amount of ranged support.
Returning to where she found the goblins, she pauses to let the rage bubble up, and then attempts to creep forward and silently kill the sleeping guard.

Reaching her target, Ro flips one of her scimitars over in her hand and stabs downward, viciously driving it down into the goblin's neck. Then she bares her teeth and lunges at the two arguing guards.
1st Attack: 20 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Offhand Attack (at the remaining goblin): 12 Damage: 4
Edit: Rolling two damage die because the dice roller seems to have borked when she rolled a crit. Damage: 5
Since her second swing definitely isn't going to kill (or possibly even hit) the other goblin, I guess we roll initiative? Roll: 12
The goblin is wounded by Roar and looks ever more desperate to escape from her
Assuming the rest of you are chilling in the clearing, you should know that the hedge is giving the goblin cover from that side, so it will be harder to hit from range. You need to head towards the entrance of the cave to get a clearer shot.

The second goblin is split in two by Roar's mighty swing, but the final one manages to dodge her attack and is looking scared.

I think that one of the fighters is likely to do a better job, but I'll add in my swing if it is needed.

Since there's a fight going, XiaoLong will join.
She'll get as close as possible to throw darts: range 20 (60)

That is definitely a bad idea, thinks Ilduarana, but if the rest is fighting... so will she.
She picks her javelin and runs to the closest goblin.
