// Flanking is a melee-only option and as noted in our OOC chat, we'll be using a +1 bonus to attack for flanking. However, since you rolled it, I'll give it to you - the cost though is that I will have to move your PC closer and in such a fashion to get a clear line of sight (currently, per review of our off-site map, you barely have LOS on Dead-Eye, he is also gaining 1/4 coverage by your ally Tzo-Tzo). Everyone, going forward, flanking will grant a plus one to your attack bonus and it is only usable in melee combat. //
Snap rushes forward to get a bead on Dead-Eye and take advantage of the distraction that Key is providing. An undulating, warbling mass of chaotic energy, taking the shape of ice and snow, slams into Dead-Eye, the force of the impact causes him to cough some blood and the flying ice cutting up his face like glass - all of the drawn blood almost immediately freezing over, his beard now frosted in ice and blood. Dead-Eye is BLOODIED, but not yet beaten.
// Keth, please roll TWO athletics checks... with advantage as you are raging. I may only use the first one, depending on how Dead-Eye's turn goes. //
Dead-Eye, now counting five assailants and feeling the tide moving against him, cries out, "Dammit boys, if you aren't coming in, I'm going out!" He tries to shove Keth out of his way!
Shove attempt against Keth (Athletics): 9
Keth doesn't move.... Dead-Eye tries yet again to shove him out of the way and make an escape.
Second shove attempt against Keth (Athletics): 16
Dead-Eye is overpowered and cannot push Keth out of the way. He looks to the side, his eyes widen, and he runs! He enters a room just to the west of the front door. A window within looks out to the street beyond.
Keth and Tzo-Tzo each get attacks of opportunity on Dead-Eye. After which, Group 2a (Keth) gets its turn.
As Dead-Eye hastens away from Tzo-Tzo and Keth, the latter swipes at his back. The barbarian's axe bites through the pirate's leather armor. Dead-Eye stumbles into the room and reaches the window, his hands slipping as he tries to flip the latch and open the window. Keth follows quickly behind him. Dead-Eye turns to face his pursuer just in time to feel the sharpened corner of the war axe get pushed into his chest. As Keth's spit hits Dead-Eye's face, the pirate begins to cough up the blood that is flowed into his lungs.
The crowd inside the main room stays quiet. Tarina, able to catch a glimpse of the carnage from her point of view, gleefully states, "Well, you all definitely earned your keep with that one! Look at all that blood - everywhere!"
Alan from the back of the tavern, immediately exclaims, "Blood! Dammit - why did you all murder that poor bastard anyways? He was a decent customer whenever he came into port." He then sighs, "Skoona, time to clean up." Then looking at the waitstaff, "Grab some mops and go help her." Skoona begins to lumber towards the room where Dead-Eye was slain, while the wait staff turns toward the back room where the cleaning supplies seem to be held.
The other patrons of the restaurant crowd the tables opposite of the aftermath of the mayhem that unfolded before them.
Outside the pirates continue to jog back to the ship and out of sight of the tavern, having already turned a corner to get on a street that will take them to the docks.
Keth leans heavily on his axe and begins to help clean up. "I told you sorry about the mess... just a job." he is wavering on his feet barely able to stand as the adrenaline wears off.
"Well that was fun, now tell us about these cultists... or you will wish for Keth's ax" Dar speaks in a friendly manner with a big smile, and an unpleasant glint in her eyes
Tzo-Tzo, completely unharmed, dusts herself off, “I do not believe that we discussed the killing of any pirates beforehand. In the future, warn me of such things.”

Snap speaks an arcane word and a rag rises from the bar and begins to sop up some of the blood near the door. "I'm sorry Alan, it was necessary. We will be out of your hair soon. Tarina, we should continue our conversation upstairs."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tarina responds to Dar with a chuckle, "My aren't you are an amusing young woman." Then, to Snap, "Agreed - upstairs would be better... I don't recognize all the faces here.... but first-"
Tarina scoots over next to Dead-Eye's body, at looks at the corpse bending over at the waist to do so. Suddenly, her hands work quickly through the bloody corpse, pulling at items from around his neck, his hands, his waist, and a piece of paper from an inside pocket of his coat. She quickly places everything into her own pouch, less the paper, which she pushes onto Keth's chest, saying, "I'm out of that line of work myself, but who am I to spoil the fun of others."
She then bounces up the stairs. You hear a very heavy thud come from above.
As Tarina exits the room of Dead-Eye's demise, Skoona squeezes part of her hulking frame into it and pulls out the corpse that was Dead-Eye. Easily gripping it with one hand, she mumbles aloud, as she parts between the party members, "Excuse me - dead go to trash." She stops at Keth, "Are you sure you're not dead?" She then laughs and carries it outside. Once out the tavern you could hear Skoona continue, this time with a grunt, "Dead to trash. Dead to trash. Always, dead to trash."
Keth pauses as Skoona takes Dead Eye away, he turns toward her as she leaves as if suddenly coming awake. "What? No, not dead... not yet anyway." He starts up the stairs after everyone muttering to himself, "Just damn close to it."
When you get upstairs, you find Tarina sitting on top of the table, now back as it should be, facing the stairs. When the whole of the party is present, she says, "Well, a deal is a deal, and you all came through for me - a lot more effectively than I would have guessed... although, you look a little worst for wear." She says that last bit to Keth.
She continues, "Several blocks northwest of here is a public bathhouse with a walled garden and frolicking nymphs carved into its front gates. Followers of the Dead Three have been seen coming and going from the bathhouse, and I’m told there’s a secret door inside that leads to a dungeon. That’s where the killers are hiding."
"As I said, I've been seeing cult members of the Dead Three enter and exit the bathhouse and my sources told me there's a secret door that leads to a lower level... a dungeon, of sorts."
"Regarding what you may find down there? Who knows? But the Dead Three aren't particularly known for their altruism - they worship death in some form. If the Captain wants you stop these cultists from killing, I'm thinking you'll find a large group of them down there. I suspect it's their base of operations and this 'bathhouse' is serving as a front."
"And with that, I do believe our business is done. Just as well, I need to go talk to Nine-Fingers and let her know I'll be staying in Baldur's Gate a bit longer... Thanks to you lot!"
Tarina turns away and focuses on the game that has started on the table before her.
Suddenly, from below, the main door of the tavern could be heard slamming open, followed by some shouts.
One voice cries, "Who the hell offed Dead-Eye? We want our pound of flesh! Alan, who the hell did this? I swear we'll get the whole crew down here if you don't tell us!"
A second voice then cries out, "And why the hell were we in the dumpster? Who threw us in there?!?"
Skoona could be heard bellowing back, "Sorry - me thought you dead..."
