Again, more electricity dances along its surface before shooting off towards Gulgus, Avia's dire wolf and Gulgus' giant hyena.
Shock vs giant hyena Attack: 14 Damage: 3
Shock vs Gulgus Attack: 15 Damage: 3
Shock vs dire wolf Attack: 13 Damage: 1
Despite being in its increasingly-unstable state, it is able to hit all of its targets. But, conversely, because of said state, its output was lopsided, with the giant hyena getting the worst of it (10 electric damage), while Gulgus and the dire wolf got only minor shocks (1 electric damage to Gulgus and 2 electric damage to dire wolf).
Kysdiane looks worriedly at the hyena that just took a blast of electricity from this aberration and swings his flail down once more to (hopefully) bring it down. His ears are still ringing and he cannot hear a thing so he is unable to rally his comrades, but he does what he can through action as his flail comes down.

Avia watches as her wolf takes more damage. She steps back a little to avoid the same happening to her. She commands her wolf to bite again, then launches more acid at the Static.
Bite attack: 21 Damage: 8
acid splash The Static must make a DC 13 dexterity saving throw or take 5 acid damage.
Gulgus (I believe he should be a ranged at B-7 where I moved to heal), casts Produce Flame and throws it again at the static. Range Spell Attack: 7 Flame Damage: 7
The Giant Hyena, wounded and a lil salty about it, uses its bites attack. Melee Attack: 17 Piercing Damage: 10
Gulgus tries to throw yet another mote of flame at the thing. However, it seems the tiny shock was enough to throw off his aim causing the tine ball of fire to hit the ceiling above it (miss).
In a similar scenario, his giant hyena also has the same trouble (miss).
Dex save: 15
Avia sends another clump of acid the aberration's way. Only this time, it was able to move enough of itself out of the way to avoid the bursting acid (no damage).
Her dire wolf has better luck and seems to rip of a chunk of it, which then fades away (4 piercing damage, already halved by resistance).
Kysdiane brings down his flail once more on it with as satisfying THUMP. The sound emanating from it starts to abruptly stop and start is a strange stutter with a quick frequency that slows down to nothing as its form starts losing mass in random areas. As this happens, the sounds' true nature starts becoming more clear, they were hundreds of screams all at once falling in number until the monster is no more. Almost as if there was nothing there except for a small pile of dust on the ground below where it was (12 magical piercing damage and defeated).
You are out of initiative. You are free to do as you will. The strange effects it caused are gone and everyone is back to normal.
Lia shakes her head, her vision finally clearing as she glances around. "That was... strange." She says as she looks to where the creature they just fought had turned to nothing more than a pile of dust on the ground.
"It was. I am still not sure what we fought." Renata says. She calls Vatra over, the viper crawls up her side and sticks out its tongue to ask for a treat. She pets her python on the head and transfroms it back to a staff that she holds in her hand. "Maybe it was... guarding something, or it was a some sort of materialization of the strange environment around us."
Kysdiane wipes the sweat off of his face as the glow on his flail begins to fade away. He quickly reaches out with his Divine Sense to ensure that there are no other dangers of Undead, Fiendish, or Celestial nature within 60 feet. "I hope that the rest of this facility does not have creatures like that, although I am not holding my breath. I suppose we should continue onwards."
"I'd like to look at that small chest now..." Lia says, moving back in that direction. "Anyone able to check it for traps and potentially pick the lock if it is locked?"
After a moment of wondering if the nature of the thing they had just defeated, Renata recalls her staff into its original form as Lia looks at the dusty remains. She thinks she sees small dots of something glowing scattered about them. But, the glowing is too short-lived to really glean anything meaningful.
Kysdiane opens up his divine senses again. He is unable to detect anything related to celestials, fiends, or the undead within the limits of his abilities.
Lia soon brings their attention to the small chest in the corner, requesting help in opening it and making sure there are not installed deterrents, mundane or magical.
Avia puts her hands to her mouth. "My teeth! It's back!" She then looks at her previous teeth on the floor and sighs. "I could make thieves tools. It would take an hour though. Perhaps you could rest while I make thieves tools. I also can heal anyone who needs it."
"Yes, we could rest." Renata says. She rubs her temples, the shock from the static electricity just now still makes her a little dizzy. She leans against the wall. "I'm alright, just need some time. I do not know anything about traps or locks, unfortunately."
"Nor do I," Kysdiane says as the ringing in his ears begins to subside, "I have a small pool of healing if anyone needs some extra health after our rest." As he says this he slumps up against the wall and tries to calm his breathing. "What was that thing? And more importantly, how did it get here?" he asks both to himself and the rest of the group.

"I have tools." Lia says, pulling out her own thieve's tools, just not as good at the checking for traps as others might be..." She shrugs though and looks over the chest... Perception: 19 Guidance: 2
As most are looking for a little breather after the fight, Lia looks over the small chest and is reasonably sure that it is not trapped.
Taking out her lockpicking tools, she gets to work unlocking it. It takes a few seconds to get a feel of the aged lock before the latch clicks and the chest opens up a tad. Opening it up the rest of the way reveals a folded piece of parchment and six cylindrical crystals of different colors: Blue, red, yellow, green, orange and white.
Unfolding the parchment reveals a set of instructions, reading:
"In case of power failure, the crystals in this chest can be used as emergency sources of power. Each crystal holds a different amount of energy in magical flux and recharge themselves after a few minutes. They can be inserted into a panel located somewhere on each of the basement floors. Insert the crystals and pull the lever in the panel to 'on' position. It is ill-advised to add or remove crystals while lever remains in 'on' position.
The maximum energy capacity of each of the basement floors differ.
Maximum recommended capacities:
Crystalarium: 46 flux
Forge: 75 flux
Aerodynaics: 62 flux
It is recommended not to exceed the maximum, otherwise the equipment on the floor would overload and be rendered permanently inoperable."
Lia would hand the paper around as she looks over the crystals in the chest. "Well, seems like these can power this place, if we wish to do so..." She comments, but shrugs and closes the chest. She sits on the chest, taking her own time to rest a bit as they all catch their breath.
