Renata puts together a divination ritual in hopes of aiding their decision-making. After making a facsimile of an eye with the two outcomes on either side of it, she charges it with some divine energy.
Slowly, the part representing the pupil, the symbol of Savras, shifts towards the weal card until the energies animating it runs out.
As Renata finishes her ritual, she picks up the ornate card representing weal, and tells other the result of divination. She clasps the symbol of Savras in her palms and thanks his guidance, before putting away the rest of the materials. And now she seems more positive to go with the plan.
"Seems like figuring out which is a smaller capacity will be hard." Lia says with a frown. "She will open up her pack and just let the others pick one. "I have no clue which you should go with..." She explains.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I have no clue either..." Renata says, she picks up each individual one to inspect them more closely, hoping to be able to tell some subtle differences between them. If they all seem the same then Renata will ask others to weigh in on which one they should try.
"I'm not sure about water..." Kysdiane muses, "If they really are sources of power, then they are likely infused with some measure of either lightning or fire. Either way, putting them in water is unlikely to lead to any good results. Let's just start with the white. It seems good enough, and white is usually the symbol of purity, if there is anything that is least likely to go wrong, I'd say that's it."

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Renata starts with giving the small crystals in Lia's possession a thorough look-over, with some magical aid from Avia. This reveals that over the years, some magical flow has moved among them, mostly from the white crystal. Other than that, not much else can be gleaned. After much deliberation, including a supposition from Kysidane regarding inherent properties of colors, they decide to start with the white crystal.
After putting it into one of the three slots behind the panel, the gauge counts up 9.
Kysdiane scratches his head, "Perhaps each of the crystals generate a different amount of 'flux.' Not that I know what that means..." Kysdiane sits down to think for minute before he springs back up with another idea. "What if we took that crystal out, and tried another one?" He says excitedly, "Then we could test all of their 'fluxes' and perhaps we can combine them in some way-" he trails off as he realizes his idea was purposeless and sits back down dejected.

"Beats me." Lia says with a frown. "Not even sure if putting crystals in there will blow us all up or do something benifitial for us." She glances to the others. "We are working blind here, I think we need more information before we continue just trying things to see what happens."
"I think we should try another one as well." Renata says, agreeing with Kysdiane. She points out the loss of magical power from the white crystal, and suggests her theory, "it could be that the crystals are left abandoned for a long time, that some of them lost a portion of their magical power, but perhaps others retained them. What I learned from the foreknowledge ritual was that a good result will come in some way, though I don't know what or how. It might be worth it to keep trying."

"Works for me." Lia agrees. She opens her pack and pulls out one of the smaller crystals, handing it over.
I’ll need to know what color(s) you are using.

There were blue, red, yellow, green, orange and white. Are the crystals all of the same size?
Yes, they are. You just don’t know how much capacity they have. But you are free to experiment, to a point.

"Perhaps we can put them in a bowl of water and check the water displacement each time?" Avia offers. She also gives guidance to Renata.
