Satisfied that the letter of the mission was completed, Lia thanks them for their time and turns to leave. The figure nods back and turns as well.
Valentia was not ready to leave and lights her torch to see who was talking to them before asking a question out of innocent curiosity.
But, whether it was realizing at least one of the strangers was not done talking, the posing of probing questions, a misunderstanding of the intention of said questions or some combination; the mood of the one talking with them turns sour, it stops in its tracks and turns around.
"We hide nothing! We take back what was his before long sleep, caused by traitor ancestors!" It sweeps its arm in front of it, across the party.
Its eye widen as if it had an epiphany, "I see now. Not just heretics... Spies! You won't leave!"
Blind paranoia consumes it as it barks orders at its comrades, causing them to start to advance.
Valentia was probably standing around at J5. Since she had to talk and see one of the kobolds, she isn't as in the back as she wanted to be. Knowing there would be no way out of this without fighting or running away, she decides to attack. She had equipped her shield when they entered and was now holding a torch on her other hand. So, she drops the torch, hoping to make it so the fire remains there lighting up the room, and now with her free hand, she casts Sacred Flame at the one at I11.
DC 14 Dexterity save or take 6 Radiant damage.
Regardless of the results, after that's done, she looks at the teammates behind her and positions herself in front of non-armored Lia (wherever she might be) and stands defensively with her shield.

(@ TSR_Red: More than 24 hours have passed since your turn was called. Nephina will be on auto-pilot (controlled by me) as detailed in the rules, until you are able to return, hope you can rejoin soon.)
Nephina's turn
Nephina ducks behind the corner (O3) and fires an arrow at the closest kobold to her.
Right off the bat, Gark throws his javelin at the lead kobold and it hits true. VERY true, and skewers it, instantly ending it.
Valentia's invokes a radiant flame that forms above the kobold near the minecart. It is only able to see it but is unable to avoid it in time. The flame strikes the kobold and it falls motionless.
Taking refuge behind the wall Nephina peeks around the corner and fires off a shot at closest kobold still up and hits it in the chest. It slumps over, its life leaving its body.
Valentia interrupts the flow of the fight by deciding to speak up when she sees there's only one kobold left. "Hold your weapons. I wanted to get more information, and this one might just have something to tell us, as well."
(The DM allowed this, but now I'm just waiting for my turn to take my action if there even is any need for that.)
Lia levels her crossbow at the last kobold. "We were going to leave and no one needed to be harmed." She says with another sigh. "Now either throw down your weapon or I will shoot."
Intimidation: 15
If he does not drop the weapon...
Crossbow Attack: 22 Damage: 4
If it misses for some reason:
Favored by the Gods: Once per short rest, if you fail a saving throw or miss with an attack roll, you can roll 2d4 and add it to the total, possibly changing the outcome.
If the remaining kobold lays down his weapon, Gark will move forward and kick the spear away from him.
If he doesn't and is still up after Lia's attack, Gark will try to again to get him to yield. "You heard the elf! Drop your spear now and live." Then slowly move forward weapon at the ready
Out of instinct and fear the kobold does lower its weapon. It looks around, regains its composure and gives a smile, "Who hurt? I see no one hurt, traitor-spawn."
(If anyone wishes, roll perception or investigation)

Valentia looks around the place, curious about it since she finally could see it.
PerceptionCheck:13 (In case of disadvantage if what she wants to see is out of the range of the torch: 6)
After examining the place, she casts Thaumaturgy on the torch to make the fire shine brighter. She hands it to Lia and whispers. "Here. You can talk to him. I'm not so good at that, as you may have noticed."
Gark, with sword and shield up, positions himself between the remaining kobold and the rest of the group to provide cover for their exit, and then backs out himself.
