Gark goes back to the mine to retrieve the javelins he threw. Fortunately, Ragkohm left the door unlocked so he was able get them back with no issue and nothing unusual happens in this return trip.
Valentia's insights on the amulet:
(Using Religion roll, so result is 11)
You do not recognize the emblem on the amulet, or even elements of the emblem, but that's not the most interesting thing about this amulet. What strikes you as odd is there doesn't seem to be even a vestige of any sort of divine energy you are familiar with.
Gark will take a listen after he collects his javelins. Perception 15
if there are no noises or sounds of movement, gark will try to silently creep down the branch where he first heard the two kobolds walking toward him to see what was going on down there. Stealth 12
if he hears activity, he will back out and report what he heard to the dwarf.
(Apologies if that’s too much to put into one post)
While in the mine to retrieve your javelins, you open up your senses to try and determine if there was any more activity while hiding your presence. But even though you are more used to the sounds of the mine, you are unable to detect any more movement. However, as you move down the branch the kobolds were previously in, you notice that some of the props and beams have significant damage. What's more, it looks deliberate.
Valentia decides it's better to try and discover more about the amulet on a later date and decides instead to head to the Pick and Tap, pay for something to eat, and then go to the room she had rented earlier at that tavern where she'll rest for the night.
"Oh, ya went back in...? Thanks fer tellin' me about the damage. I'll let the boys know to stay clear of that branch until repairs are done." Ragkohm says, appreciative that Gark did an errand he was going to do the following day.
The party turns in for the night, whether it's in a room at the Pick and Tap, or at safe spot in the woods.
The next morning, the air is crisp, the sun in highlighting the Lesser Crest, and the town is bustling with morning routines.
Valentia wakes up in her bedroom in the Pick and Tap. She takes the first few minutes after that to pray to her deity and get prepared for the day ahead. Before leaving downstairs, though, she takes ten minutes to cast Detect Magic as a ritual. She'll use that spell to examine the amulet she took from the kobold, and when she finishes that, she heads down the stairs to make check of any other magical things there might be at the tavern.
While foraging, you do not see any kobold activity in the area surrounding the mine. During your survey, you see Arnout in front of his trading post, looking down the road with an annoyed look on his face.
Valentia:
Activating detect magic, you examine the amulet once more. The amulet itself has no magical properties. But you are surprised that there is something magical embedded in the center of the amulet, where there was seemingly nothing. Whatever is there has properties akin to transmutation magic.
Valentia makes her way downstairs to have breakfast. Lia has already ordered and is waiting for her food.
Valentia:
You notice a small, faint glow on Lia's person. But the exact school of magic related to it is heavily obscured by something.
While still upstairs after examining the kobold's amulet, Valentia tells herself, "Transmutation... This must be what changed that kobold..." After that, she puts the amulet back in one of her backpack's pockets and heads to the lower floor of the tavern.
Lia's radiating glow that comes from Valentia's spell is certainly something the Cleric finds interesting, so although careful, she sits on the same table as her teammate from last night.
Lia continues to eat her food, keeping an eye out for the others who went with her into the mine the previous day. She gives Valentia a nod of greeting.
With a very small sense of proper behavior among other people, Valentia takes just one thought before she starts talking to Lia and going direct to the point. "Good morning. So, I used a spell as soon as I wake up to identify the presence of magic. There's something related to Transmutation on this amulet that belonged to the kobold, but the one thing that had magic in it is something I can't see." She shows the amulet to Lia, holding it in front of the half-elf.
She packs it away, before immediately changing the topic. "But there's something else I detected. It seems there's some magic in you as well... I did you see you casting spells, you have that component pouch with you, but that doesn't explain why I'm sensing this."
(The DM may or may not take a while to continue, so either way, I thought it'd be safe to start some RP over the information I was already given.)

"Interesting." Lia says as she takes a look at the amulet. She will try to see if she can tell anything about it...

"I am guessing you detected this..." Lia says when the amulet is put away. She pulls a shard of crystal out from under her tunic, which hangs from a cord around her neck. The crystal is completely black, and seems to absorb the light. She tucks it back away after giving Valentia a quick glance.
Seeing Gark walk up to him in his periphery, Arnout turns to him with and arched eyebrow and asks, "Can I help you with something...?"
"If you're looking to buy something, you're gonna have to wait... I need to restock, but the shipment is later than usual."
Back at the tavern, Lia and Valentia discuss magical items.
As they talk, Lia tries to discern anything more from amulet, but the nature of the hidden object remains elusive.
The door to the tavern opens and in walks Sargeant Forscal, "Got something to wake me up, Raicho..?" He says in a tired voice.
"Sorry, we were supposed to be getting some coffee earlier, but it never came. Didn't get much sleep last night, Sargeant?" Raicho replies.
Forscal sighs deeply, "Figures... Little...? Try none... Brought in a kobold that was evidently trespassing in the mine and tried to interrogate it."
"Wasn't talking, eh...?"
"Exact opposite, after it stopped blubbering we couldn't get the damned thing to shut up! Never had a prisoner say so much that meant absolutely nothing. Wouldn't have been so bad if it had not kept repeating itself."
Gark turns to him and responds “I was trying to figure out why you were looking grumpy so early in the morning. Guess I know now. How often is the shipment late? Pretty common?”
"Sorry, I don't usually get testy. Yes, the cart with my wares is late. Usually, if it's late, it's usually a few hours. That, I can live with. However, it is nearly three days late at this point." Arnout says as folds his arms.
