Kysdiane backs up from the circles after being unable to identify them and looks towards Renata for an explanation on the circles. When Avia looks to send her weasel in, Kysdiane says, "Let's wait to see if Renata figured anything out with her ritual. No point in sending your weasel in there to die if they have explosive runes for example."
Renata finishes her ritual, as the ritual concludes, she sees a faint magical aura surrounding the hatch, with other similar auras in the room. She answers to Kysdiane, "I could definitely say the hatch contains divination magic, I don't believe it's dangerous or explosive… it must have been used as some sort of scrying device. And they use the forge to make copies of whatever they acquired from the circle.”
Avia suggests her weasel go in and search the innards of the forge more.
At first, Kysdiane is concerned about the nature of the magic circles. However, assurance from Renata that they are harmless gives both him and Avia enough confidence for her to send her furry friend inside.
The first thing Avia's weasel does is grab the part that was surrounded by the inactive magic circles. After dropping it at its master's feet it runs back in. The skittering and pattering of its feet are heard in various parts of the old forge. Eventually, 5 four uncut gemstones pushed out and onto the floor in front of the forge.
Kysdiane glances down at the front of the forge and sees the gemstones that the weasel dropped. He bends down and picks them up, holding them all in his palm to get a better look at them. Looking to Renata, who presumably is still able to detect magic he also asks, "Do you think these are magical? Or just ordinary gemstones?"

Kysdiane picks up one of the gemstone and wonders if there is anything more to them. Fortunately, Renata's spell is still active and reveals that the lack any sort of magical potential to them. Not entirely disappointing as they are still quite large and can fetch a nice price when sold to the right people. While still rough, they look they can easily fetch 100g each.
"They are not magical." Renata shakes her head and answers, "they probably worth a lot of gold on the market, but I am not familiar with these things."
Kysdiane shrugs and says, "Well at least there is a convenient number of them." He hands out one gemstone to each member of the group and asks Avia, "Can your weasel find anything else?"

After a little while more, the weasel emerges from the forge, shakes itself off of any loose soot - not that there was much to begin with - picks up the metal piece that was previously surrounded by the magic circles and climbs to to Avia's shoulder.

"Well, if that's the case, I think I will risk my weasel." Avia then sends her weasel into the harch.
