"Wha' a rowdy lot dis group is, eh?" Jororic says under his breath to Smallfry. Continuing to no one in particular, he complains, "Shur, jes go an' fin' ou' w'at be makin' noises like dat. We'll send in da ironman! Tain't not'in' strange 'bout dis place, so sir! Jes a run-o-da mill top-land tower I wager. Bet dey're all o'er da place 'ere."
A hint of a smile plays across his face at his own jesting before concluding, "Welp, we ain't gonna put dat t'ing outto its misery by 'angin' out 'ere, are we?" and rises to go (closer to the front).
The group, feeling whatever is thrashing around upstairs is a possible issue, climb the stairs to the next floor. During the climb up, some blue and red light start to peek from cracks as they transition to the higher floor. Sometimes, a strange shimmer happens to one of the colors.
It seems to be much smaller than the floor below. A small upper foyer with the remains of chairs and a carpet that leads the way to, and forks to, two doors, one of which has been damaged very recently.

Feel free to explore a bit. Also, everything outside of the walls are sloped or collapsed roof, so venture out at your own risk.
Using his low profile to his advantage, Smallfry makes his way up to the damaged door. The cracks in the heavily weathered door is enough for him to get a decent, albeit still limited, view of the room beyond.
He sees a large room with the remains of stained glass widows, two flames in braziers - one red and one blue. In the back of the room is a large frame made of glass and green stone, inside is a shimmering field. As if the field were submerged in water.
After a moment, he sees a large, hovering, translucent, serpentine creature ramming one of the walls.
Valentia moves to where she has clear view of the snake (standing at N12), where she summons her Spiritual Weapon (at J7) with the same form as before, a holy mace. Right there it swings, and then, going to her holy symbol one more time, she holds her action to curse the snake with Path to the Grave just before Smallfry makes an attack.

And then, she quickly tells Smallfry. "Go! It should be especially weak now, you may be able to cause some extra damage if you attack now."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jororic kicks of the the encounter by bringing down both of his handaxes onto the floating snake. While it it seems at first that both of them went through it as if they bit only air, the snake's mannerisms suggest it had felt some pain (11 slashing damage, already halved from resistance).
Lia conjures up a new spectral dagger that tries to strike at it but the snake sees the attack coming and evades it (miss). She tries to use the snakes movements to her advantage by shooting it with her crossbow. However, she misjudges and misses it (miss)
Valentia summons her own spiritual mace and it makes its attack. A solid blow from it seems to be felt by the snake in full (12 force damage). She then lays a dire curse on it making vulnerable, cueing Smallfry.
Snake's turn
The snake lets out a strange screech that starts to buzz in everyone's minds, which starts getting more and more intense.
Everyone roll a Wisdom save [DC13] or take 3 and be stunned (success takes half damage and no stun)
"Just as well go and have a look." Lia agrees.
Oswin will have SD take the lead and follow close behind as they investigate.

Smallfry sneaks back.
"Ghost snake!" he whispers. "GHOST SNAAAKE!"
"Seems like we know where 'it' is then." Lia says with a nod towards that door. "Shall we go and see if we can deal with it?"
Oswin will nod and ready himself for combat.

Smallfry will back up to around the middle of that room (M10?) and ready his shortbow to shoot if something comes through.

Smallfry then sees the "ghost snake" turn his way after hearing his loud voice and rear back to charge the door again, Smallfry wisely backs up.
"Snake" Strength check: 19 (whoops mod was supposed to be +4 so total is 21)
With one more mighty blow, the door and part of the wall comes crashing down. The snake eyes looks at the large group with hunger.
