Not having been part of the original agreement with the scholar, Jororic is content to look at the surrounding area, breathing in the smells of reality and not dreamworld. A thought pops into his head, "I s'pose yer gonna try'n see what new infermashun yer can fin' ou' 'bout da flyin' library?"
"I'm thinking maybe triple the original 50 gold pieces per person. Is that agreeable?" Nessarian replies to Lia. "I can extend the payment to our new companions, if that is also alright?"
Then he responds to Jororic, "Partly, yes. Also to try to find some way to reach the library as well. I need to narrow down the best and most plausible way."
"While my own archive is extensive, I don't think it would be that long." Nessarian says as he leads the group back to his workshop. "There aren't that many candidates that could reach the edge of the heavens. It's only a matter of finding the one that has the fewest assumptions around it. I'd estimate between three and seven days."
Before long, the group returns to Nessarian's workshop. Smallfry and Jororic see it for the first time. It appears to them to be a simple cottage built into the side of the mountainous valley with magically levitating fountains and lush, green grass on the ground.
However, the inside of the workshop is far larger than what the outside portrays. Countless hallways and chambers stretch out for miles and the ceiling is at least 90 feet above them. Several floors and subfloors are seen throughout.
Just at inside entrance, he stops the group and almost immediately after, the large carpet under their feet starts rising off of the ground, bringing them some 70 feet in the air. After several minutes of travel what they assume is south, it brings them to a large knothole. In front of the knothole is a large platform with numerous shelves of various objects wands, rods, some rings, a few stones, even the odd blade here and there, and a slew of many others. By how everything is arranged, nobody gets the feeling it is for their host's benefit.
Nessarian approaches the knothole "I will return momentarily with your payment." He disappears into the knothole as if it was not there.
Jororic stiffens when the carpet lifts off the ground, obviously concerned about the mode of travel though he doesn't say anything. Gradually relaxing as the carpet doesn't seem to dump its precious cargo, he is relieved when it stops moving. His consternation is switched to curiosity and appreciation for the assortment of weapons and, without moving or touching anything, scans for an axe among the assortment.
Nessarian eventually emerges from the knothole with several sacks and sees the group browsing, "If there's anything you're interested in, let me know. You can also commission me to craft something for you."
Jororic admires the weapons and asks if he can pick up the axe to test its balance.
OOC: do we have a list of items we've found? I remember we found a mithril set of armor back in that tower before going to the dreamworld, but it still is unused.
Oswin also picked up the dusty remains of the untamed id.
Lia expresses her interest in the bag of holding, while Jororic picks up and gives the battleaxe +1 a few swings to see how it feels. Its movements make it seem that the enchanted weapon is an extension of his arms, making him feel like he is more control.
"The materials I used to make that bag and enchant that axe are curiously more common in these mountains. Although I think we now know the reason why..." Nessarian muses. "I can easily part with them for 300 gold each."
OOC: I think that it would make the most sense for Small Fry to get the Mitrhal half-plate armor, since he only has leather right now. Being mithral, there's no stealth penalty. If he doesn't want it, I'll take the extra +1 to AC, since I don't use a shield.
The mace of warning would be a fantastic upgrade for Lia (and the group as a whole: no suprise). If she isn't interested, Jororic would be.
I'm feeling like a greedy little halfling or something. This is why my wife doesn't send me to the store without a list, I always come back with more than we need!
Oswin will pull out the items he’s recovered, “What do you think we could make with this? I think it might be possible to enhance the stone’s properties at the very least.” (Stone of good luck)
(OOC: Lia doesn't have proficiency with maces, she's a Sorceress... Valentia, the Cleric, on the other hand, does, and in fact, it's the one melee weapon she has currently. Problem is, she doesn't have any Strength, so only the "Warning" part of the Mace of Warning would see any use.)
Valentia stands still for the bigger part of the groups' examination of the items, but only when Nessarian comes back and starts talking to the group about selling does she decide to raise her voice to ask about the items she noticed from the distance. "Personally, I may be taking that mace if Lia's not interested... But along with that, what about these lenses you have over there?" She asks about the Eye of the Eagle.
(Lia doesn't have to have proficiency with the weapon to use the 'warning' aspect. She has no real interest in it, but it was the only other item she was considering. She is 100% ok if you want to get it instead.)

"Seems good to me." Lia agrees.
"That is a frankly insane amount of money and I have no idea what I will do with it. Thank you for your generosity."
Oswin looks to Nessarian, "Any idea how long that will take you? And is there anything you need from us while you're doing that?"

Jororic smiles at the extension of the reward to him and Smallfry, "Me thanks fer yur benev'lence." he says.

Lia stays put but admires the various items on display.
Oswin will move forward towards the display, and without touching them, look them all over carefully.
Investigation: 12
The party disembarks and takes a look around the shelves around and in front of the knothole.
As they look, among the shelves they see:

"I like that..." Lia says, pointing to the bag of holding.

OOC: do we have a list of items we've found? I remember we found a mithril set of armor back in that tower before going to the dreamworld, but it still is unused.
The stuff you found at the temple were:
700 copper
7000 silver
2100 gold
100 platinum
A set of [Tooltip Not Found](half plate)
a vial of Potion of hill giant strength
A vial of Potion of healing (greater)
And a quiver of bolts.

Lia pays for the bag of holding. She then nods to the mace of warning.
"How much for that mace?" She asks. "I am not certain it is for me, but would be interested if it is about the same in price as the bag was."
