Yeah, Kastor at least is going to keep running.

Although the orbs begin to descend downwards, they're too slow as the party runs back to the entrance of the cave. There, bits of evening light break through the jungle foliage but halts the orbs pursuit as they back away from the light. The party moves more to the light and the orbs stop their chase and seemingly stare at the party for a moment before heading back into the cave.

Kierran gives a slight cough, some pollen coming out, "Alright, so we got the apple, now how do we get out of this place again?" He asks.

Sylvester: “shouldn’t we just go the way we came? Maybe avoid the drakes this time”

"Pretty sure we are to bring the apple back to the monk." Nasaar says as he glances around. "Shall we head back to where he sent us into this plant-infested jungle?"

(If you're all retracing your steps, just need a survival roll.)

Kastor will do that.

After an hour, Kastor manages to find man made tracks and follow it back to the exit of the village, where the monk had left the party. The tunnel was still sparingly lit with the torches along the walls.

"Best keep our eyes open for those lizardmen." Nasaar rminds the others. He has his owl fly in to scout ahead of the group.

Rusty moves up to point to help scout for any dangers. Dagger and handbow at the ready.

The trio heads down the tunnel, only to find it ending with the stairs leading up to the hatch door. After a moment, light starts to filter through the hatch door. It opens to show Vono peering down the tunnel with a torch.

"Hmm, best see who my disciples saw come back to the village. The other group only left for a few hours." He hasn't noticed the trio yet.

Vono starts nearing the trio hidden in the shadows of the tunnel.

(He'll eventually bring the torch to reveal you three soon.)

(I don't know what three are there. Nasaar did not go in, he sent his owl.)

(I assume Rusty, Sylvester and the owl)

(Yup, the owl, Sylvester, and Rusty.)

Nasaar, watching through the owl's eyes, hears the monk, so he moves forward himself, coming inside the tunnel. "It is just us." He calls to the monk, not sure why his other two companions, the ones who went in with the owl, are not speaking up.

"Ah, the first visitors, what brings you back to the village?" Vono says.

"We did as you asked." Nasaar says with a shrug. "We have attained the apple you requested."

Sylvester steps out of the shadows. “Was there something else we needed to do? We’re we not supposed to bring it back?”

Kastor wonders what's going on and catches up to the others.
