Merric Initiative: 19
Mastiff Initiative: I misunderstood Kale's instructions and rolled this before I noticed Kale did as well. Mine was a 21 but figured it was his creature so removed this to avoid confusion.
"Oy, beastie, let's aid the lass! Mayhap we kin distract those things...though I've no trainin' fightin' astride a war beast so you takes care of yerself!" Merric directs the beast to charge at the creatures. As they get to about 10 feet away, he dismounts, sending the mastiff to attack the one on the left while he unsheathes his Rapier of Warning and the new dagger to attack the one on the right.
"Greetins, fair lass. I'm not knowin' if you be needin' savin' but we aim to do that!" Merric moves in cautiously, though quickly, eyes out for attacks, ready to dodge, and angles his approach so he on the far side of his target from the other monster
Mastiff attack: Attack: 7 Damage: 7
Merrick attacks (he took Dual Weapon so now he can use the rapier and dagger both):
Rapier, crit on 19-20, Attack: 17 Damage: 12
Dagger, crit on 15-20, using this weapon for Sneak Attack: Attack: 27 Damage: 8, Sneak Attack Damage: 25
If necessary , he will use Uncanny Dodge as a reaction.
OOC: If he crits with the Dagger, does it double the Sneak Attack damage? Also, is there a way to change the critical range on a roll?
yes it doubles the sneak attack. To change the crit range just do this:
[ roll]1d20cs>14+5[ /roll] (the +5 is your attack modifier, cs>14 make sit crit on a 15 or better. Remove spaces to git it to work correctly.
Kale will hit the neolithids with faerie fire from above: dex save 18 or everyone gets adv on attacks. Since Kale goes before whitegaze, whitegaze, you can reroll to try for crits if you like. Also you might want to rethink your 3rd atk since if faerie fire hits merric will have adv.
Bonus action bardic inspiration to Merric. Please note this is infectious inspiration. That means if you fail your roll that you use it on, you keep the inspiration die anyway. If you succeed, Kale can hand out a free inpiration to someone else. so please don‘t sit on it ;) (1d12 to atk, save, or abi check)
The creatures are not close enough to catch both of them in this. Do you want to change action or stay with this?
lia ... Glances down to one of her hands. A ring disappears from her finger as a gold dragon appears between the two enormous creatures. Lia stops, not wishing to run between the two enormious enemies.
mastiff ... attacks the creature but misses.
Joetaro ... attacks one of the two creatures. Hitting twice for damage.
Merric ... attacks with sword and dagger. Both hit home, the dagger finding a fairly sensative area to drive into.
Al-ashari ... casts mind thrust, hitting both creatures for damage. Then sends 3 eldritch rays to strike them, all hitting for damage.
Kale ... casts faerie fire on one of the creatures. it is outlined in glowing light.
whitegaze ... attacks the second creature with his flail, hitting twice for damage. Then gives Merric an opening to strike again, and he does so for damage, the wicked blade driving in deep.
Neothelids ...
Let me know if anything needs to be modified before the creatures go.

Ok, both of the Neothelids pretty much stay put right where they are, pulling back slightly from those nearby, but not moving otherwise. (disengage action, but no movement.)
We are back to top of initiative. Everyone can post their next actions.
all 3 at one creature that looks the most injured.
Others are on the sidewalk, should be near N1 and N2. Dragons are a single dragon, that takes up those squares. it is just one huge-size dragon. N1 and N2 are the enemies.

Merric shakes his head in wondrous respect...and not a little suspicion. So much damage done to the beasties and yet they did not attack. Reaching out with his telepathy, he sends "Al-Ashtari, I'm thinking things are a bit odd with the beasties. We've hurt them something fierce but they haven't struck. Mayhap they are not our enemy. Mayhap the wee lass is the enemy and the beasties are illusions or her minions or something else be happening. Keep an eye on things back there, if'n you please."
Still, illusion or not, trick or not, they were in front of him. If nothing else, best to play along at this point, and maybe warn more than just Al-Ashtari. "Oy, beasties! Why so quiet? Mayhap you likes being stabbed? I'm thinkin' tis' not the case. Tis, strange, tis' not, Jotero. Praps somethin' else be happenin' here." Even as he says this, Merric dances in, both rapier and dagger flashing bright in the rain.
"If my spells work, those things are not supposed to attack." Al-Ashari kept her cool even in battle. "As of "a lot of damage" - things here are hard to kill, do not judge by those pitiful zombies you fought so far. I say we continue."
lia ... attacks n1 for damage. The dragon she called forth before makes a mighty roar at the creatures to either side of it.
mastiff ... takes dodge action.
Joetaro ... Casts a spell to make his blade glow red-hot. He then slices N1 twice, doing damage.
Merric ... Strikes at N1, doing damage with both strikes.
Al-ashari ... casts her mind-thrust spell again, both creatures seeming affected again. Her eldritch blasts sends three beams at N1, but two miss, the third barely sindging the creature.
Kale ... casts scortching ray, all three rays hitting for damage.
whitegaze ... Slashes into N2 twice, then tries to shove it, but finds that the creature is just too big. (Shove only works if you are within 1 size of the creature.)
Neothelids ... both take the disengage action, then move away, ducking back into the holes they made in the buildings.
We are out of combat, unless someone is diving in after them.
Al-Ashari certainly would not be the one diving into the holes in the ground. As long as creature got off the way, she would content with them living here.
Lia, on the other hand, was someone worth noticing and she immediately got a mental message: "Do not be afraid, we are here to help. What was that monster and what are you running from?"
"I was running from those things." Lia says with a shrug, glancing around to figure out where the voice in her head was coming from. "Is this some terrible dream or what?" She asks as she finally lands her eyes on Al-Ashari. "I woke up in this world of rain and monsters. Am I still sleeping?"
As Lia talks she glances to the dragon and it disappears, a ring forming once more on her finger. She has multiple rings on her fingers, as well as assorted other jewelry about her person.

If Mind Trust hit, creatures can use its action only to Dash or Disengage on its next turn.
