Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Again Ignatia shared the coins out 25 to each of the other three and pocketed the purse, she held it up to the light....." What do you think? I'm thinking thigh....should make em from...well, anyway.", she tucked it away.
" Silvered sword....too small for Flynt. Sha? Renny?"
" Now that we're all recovered how about we go tell them to shut the hell up?"
You all split up the coins, jewels and weapon as you've described.
As you move towards the southeast passageway, you can tell that this corridor towards the east also links up with the room that you were in previously... the one with the nasty worm-like beast (the Grick) who you dispatched and cooked nicely.
There's also a different, unexplored passageway that heads south... with a staircase at the end... which also seems to be producing the haunting chants....

Ignatia, you begin to make your way south down the passageway, leading the group deeper into the dungeon. You reach the middle of the passageway and notice another branch off to the east, and you can also start to see the bottom of the stairs and the current passageway leading west. The ghostly chanting becomes discernibly louder with each footstep you take, and it seems to almost start distracting you, or at the least taking your attention away from walking...
...the last step you take, you hear a crack, and then feel yourself loose balance and then fall... you see wooden planks crack and break apart as you fall down a pit. It's a bad fall... the pit isn't super deep, but as you look down in the split second moment, you see that there are also many sharpened wooden spikes at the bottom of this pit.
Fall: 2 Spikes: 10
The initial fall SUCKED. Really bad. When Ignatia landed, she was off balance and she breaks both of her legs. At the same time, a few of the larger wooden spikes with the help of ever-so-powerful gravity embed themselves into Ignatia's lower torso, puncturing her femoral artery and shredding much of her lower internal organs. She passes out, and is now stuck like a pig on a few of the larger spikes, legs broken and slouched over at the bottom of the pit.
Ignatia, please make your first death saving throw.
Anyone with healing magic can instantly bring her back to life. Alternatively someone can attempt to stabilize her. And then there's the issue of her being 10 feet down in a pit.
As you decide what to do, I will ask for the next death saving throw based on the time it takes to do whatever it is you might want to try, etc.
Flynt, you would have to climb down first and then cast the spell as I believe it's touch. So - assuming Renny and Shae help you by holding/anchoring the rope from the top, with your Athletics roll above, you are able repel your way down the pit since it's really only 10 feet deep, and reach Ignatia. Her blood splashes up on your boots as you land in the pit and you can see this quite clearly due to the light from Renny's spell. You touch Ignatia's unconscious slumped over body, and the healing energies flow from you to her and she instantly awakens and the spikes are dislodged from her legs and trunk. (+8 hp)
So - Ignatia is awake and up now with 8 hp, and her and Flynt are still in the pit with Renny and Shae holding the rope at the top as the anchor.
What's next? Climbing back up the rope will require an Athletics check from both Flynt and Ignatia. Whoever goes first gets to roll with advantage as the other person would be helping. (it's not a deep pit, so it won't be hard to climb up... but there's always a chance of something happening...!)
"ooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"
(ghostly haunting chants)
lol
Flynt scowls at the haunting chants. Seeing Shae struggle, he takes his sword and points at the lock. "We've faced zombies and ghost children. This chest, though probably haunted, will not scare us."

Renny blinks at the renewed chants. She puts the new shiny things away and listens more carefully, seeing if she can figure out a specific direction.
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
" Our most formidible foes so far have been stone slabs and rusty locks.....we are truly mighty heroes.", Ignatia smirked.
Flynt, you seem to have the technique down pat and the lock breaks and falls to the ground. Inside, you see:
- Another 'skin' coin purse, this time larger. it contains 75 gold coins.
- A silvered shortsword
So there are no more chests to open (I merged a few into that last one).
Renny, you can get a sense that the mysterious moaning seems to be coming from the south east direction.
Again Ignatia shared the coins out 25 to each of the other three and pocketed the purse, she held it up to the light....." What do you think? I'm thinking thigh....should make em from...well, anyway.", she tucked it away.

Renny looks over to the sword, "Not my thing." she points in the direction of the voices, "Seems that way."
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Flynt shrugs as he looks at the shortsword. "It's not what I usually use, but if no one wants it, I can take it."

Map:
Shae looks over the sword.
"It's similar to a weapon I've trained with, but not exact, I could use it, but help yourself Flynt. My mother's staff serves me well."
Flynt nods and places the sword on his belt. "It will be here if you ever need it."

" We all set? Lets go!"
Ignatia began to lead the way south down the passage, her infernal vision cutting through the darkness.

" Oh, crap"
*Thuwk*

Death Save: 2
Ignatia's death save #1 = fail
Her blood is starting to fill up the pit...
Clock is ticking.
Flynt is going to cast Cure Wounds on Ignatia.

After that he's going to try and climb down to help her using some rope.

Ignatia followed Flynt up still dazed from what had occured and the rapid transition from bloody pulp to hale and hearty.
