[Yes, we will attempt to sell the bolts of silk and all of the lewd paintings - if there is a small one that's easy to keep, Albanus will tuck it back in his pack.]
Albanus is looking for 2 flasks of holy water, some chalk, an oil flask, and a small mirror (if available).
Johans eyes go around the table as he anticipates someone else is going to tell their version of what happened, but with the others claming up, he decides to go ahead and tell his story as best he can remember everything to Leon. (Skipping through for sake of brevity)
Most interesting. Leonsays after Johan is finished with his tale. Shadows and succubi. Not an easy thing cor anyone to deal with thats for sure. More distressing is this machine, and the Amazons they had helping them. I do fear this raises more questions than answers, and perhaps the only lead we have is this tome you say the wizard has taken? If you wouldnt mind parting with it for a short time friend, I have a friend whom I would very much like to have examine this tome.
But in the meantime however, lets get upstairs and you and your friends can pick what items youd like to have from the vault. He says standing up from the table and heading towards the stairs you all had seen him originally decend from a few days ago when you had first met. Following him up, you're greeted to the sight of literally hundreds of various items. All of them unique in some way, shape, or form. Leon lets you take your time and find exacgly the item that seems to call to you yourself in particular.
(Everyone go ahead and take your preferred items, Aura can take the braces of defense if you still wanted that, Survivor go ahead with the bloodaxe, and Albanus go ahead with the scepter of blasting. Ashtear im still not 100% about but just post in the ooc what your final decision is and I'm sure I'll be good with what you pick.)
Albanus, at the shop you are able to get about 100 gp for the silks alone. The paintings only about 10gp. Also it'll cost about 10gp for the Holy water, and about 1 gp for the chalk and other items.
Ashtear, while you can get alot of oil, thry dont have that many flasks here, so hou would need something to put it all in, but for 20 flasks of oil itll cost about 20sp.
Manfred, the crossbow bolts are only about 1gp a piece. (Sorry for the mix up)
Survivor will poke through the items, eventually finding a rust coloured greataxe that seemed to call to him. He'll heft it briefly, feeling its power, "I'll claim this one." As he looks around at the accumulation of incredible items, "Need any other jobs handled?"
Dain picks up a staff with runes of power down its length.
As they leave the vault he pulls the manuscript from his pack. "I be wanting this back, but ye can borrow it fer your friend to look over." He hands the manuscript to the guild leader.
Giving her thanks, and looking mournfully at all the tools and toys. Ashtear settles upon a small ring, plain, but eye catching, with the hint of more This seems useful. Not flashy, not powerful... but useful. LIke me. Thank you."
Slipping the ring on for now, planning to customize it with alchemy for fun later, planning to coat it with Gallium that she played with as a child to create strang colours. "I almost wanted an elsewhere bag.. I love my bag, but I think I'm going to have to sell off some of my tools and toys, and break it down to make some new toys maybe.Well, at least I'll sell the tools and decide on the baggage later." already working on attuning to her new treasure. A treasure which is giving her ideas for new alchemical concoctions
Joining the rest of the group, and eyeing their chosen prizes "Well, if you have need for more work, with rewards like these, that's a good contract."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aura takes a look around, and in the end, after a bit of indecisiveness on her part, she chooses a quarterstaff. It was the same weapon as hers but it looked much different. For starters, hers was made of normal wood, meanwhile, this one was metallic and had some arcane energy to it. She tries to get a feel for what exactly it'd do and if it'd be worth it to take it.
Arcana8 (This can almost be considered "just for RPing purposes" because I know what the quarterstaff does, obviously.)
Manfred picks up an unassuming hand crossbow that sparkles ever so slightly. He grins. "This is lovely. Perfect for not getting my hands dirty. I wouldn't mind earning another opportunity to take a look through this vault either."
He smiles at the thought of returning to his father's estate with an array of magical items.
Albanus steps around the vault gingerly, looking this way and that. She knows she’d like to have something potent. A robe? A ring? That one, the voice inside her head rumbles. Albanus spies a small scepter, dragon heads at both ends, roaring in defiance. Yes, the voice purrs. I will be finally able to give sound to my frustration, outside of your puny mind. Albanus picks up the small rod in her hands and is immediately hit by a striking vision: a large black dragon swooping through the air, landing in the middle of combat and loosing a terrible roar. The blast from it knocks enemies down and sends others flying backwards. Yes, the voice says again, Yes!
Albanus shakes her head and smiles. Very well, she thinks, smiling. She turns to Leon and gives her thanks. "It's quite a collection," she says, gesturing around the room. "I think it would be in your interest to have an 'enthusiastic' talk with the magistrate of Riverton and perhaps the gnomes regarding suspicious commissions, if you get my meaning," she says, tucking the scepter into her belt. "And what of these Amazons?"
Leon mianders about while you all take your time looking, occasionally stopping and musing to himself about an item he sees close by. As Dain hands over the spellbook he nods graciously.
Of course friend, youll have it back in no time, and thats a promise. It may be our best bet at finding out is behind this.
(Aura)- You take a few minutes studying the staff and recalling back to your days in the monastery. Reading mountainous stacks of times from every side of Ethrael day after day as your masters instructed. You think about one tome in particular, speaking of various powerful magical weapons forged long ago by a small coalition of storm giants and dwarves, both using what arcane skills they had to craft several weapons that made the Empire quite fearful. One such notable one is the very staff you are now holding, weilding the power of thunder and lightning, you know it to be a truly dangerous weapon, and likely a coveted one as well.
Turning to Ashtear Leon says, Indeed, and I believe i may just have one in mind. While this one I'm not so sure will be nearly as exciting as the last. I see your skills came in great use against the fiends and the machine they had crafted. Do you think they would be capable of making another?
Turning to Albanus he smiles. Thank you for the suggestion, I do think keeping a very close eye on that sleepy town might be a very good thought. And yes, while I dont know much of them, I do know they have wandered far from home. And they have been in cahoots with our fiendish friends, meaning they might be a very real threat to the Empire. But I'm one for more peaceful solutions. Perhaps you all could convince them to return, and if they will not be convinced, do what you must. If you can though, find out what you can from them, why they are so far into imperial lands and what they were planning to do. He pauses for a minute and then turns and whispers something to Johan who quickly makes his way back downstairs. I am going to be making a quick trip to the Capital, thankfully another friend owes me a favor as well. If all goes well I should return in three days time. Hopefully giving you all enough time to locate these Amazons. Johan said he had a run in with them as well, so he should be able to give you some advice on how they operate. For this I am willing to pay each of you the amount of six hundred gold pieces. What do you say?
A few minutes later Johan returns, followed by a somewhat elderly half eleven woman. Shes dressed in modest black and green robes with bits of ferns and flowers adorning her hair. She has a very stern face and seems to have a no nonsense attitude about her. You're lucky I'm not busy, no matter how much I appreciate your help these past few years I have responsibilities now. She says to Leon before looking to you all and nodding. I am Eridith, Archdruid of Summar Haven. Pleased to meet you. I do not believe I have seen any of you here before, dont let this ones schoolboy charm fool you, he's a silver tongued devil like the rest of them.
You wound me! I think you should remember that time I, completely alone, surrounded on all sides, managed in halting an entire army from advancing for- Eridith waves her hand casually in a gesture to tell him she doesnt want to hear the whole story again, Anyway, if we are to be going to pay Varith a trip let us do so. I'll be outside.
Right behind you. One last thing though, just a moment. He says before turning back to Manfred and gently turns you away from the rest of the group.(( Just wanted to give you some fair warning lad, he leans in close and whispers, your fathers put a small bounty out for you. 200gp for your capture. I ripped up the posters that were sent for my guild, but if you go elsewhere, best to keep a low profile. ))

Dain did not hand over the spellbook but the manuscript. Just wanted to make that clear...
(I was under the impression the Manuscript and the Spellbook were the same item. Unless you mean the Journal from the graveyard? That's still in Ashtear's bag i believe?)
"Build another? You mean build another machine? If the Gnomes wrote down the methodology. I imagine so. The air-charm is complicated but doable. While taking apart the machine, it was also complicated.. but if I had a schematic I could probably do it as well with time and resources."
Giving a greeting to the Archdruid-who Ashtear knows nothing of, but given the title assumes is rather important title. She preps her gear for a trip. Well paying employer, and she's got no other plans really.
Manfred nods. "200 gold, eh? Father's clearly gotten word of my latest composition. Thank you for your discretion. I can't say I shall keep a low profile, but at the bare minimum, I will be a little more cautious. " He thinks for a second. "Actually, come to think of it, I am a little insulted. I was thinking father would offer AT LEAST 350 gold for me."
He winks at Johan. "Hopefully I have an opportunity to increase that bounty, eh?"
As soon as Johan walks away, Manfred's countenance darkens and he follows the others silently.
Survivor will rejoin the others, new axe in hand, "I'm interested in trying out this new job, but perhaps a quick trip to the market would be worthwhile, see if they have any minor magical items of use to us."
(I feel as if I've missed something along the way, what Amazons?)
(Also missing amazons... The manuscript that we pieced together from the graveyard and the guild man's room is something dain has had. The journal, from Winter's house, someone else has, and the spellbook is the book Dain got from the baroness.)
(Ashtear has that journal last I knew. That was the item that was a "sendings" magic item right? Although I think that belonged to Johan?? Although I'm still unsure if that was a "limited use" or a "daily use" item. Aso for Amazons. I assume thats what he's calling the Succubi. Whose appearences are a bit amazonian in quailty. Depending on where your source for amazon lore is. My notes for this game are a bit scattered. Some point I"ll have to go through and rewrite them cleaner)
Johan nods to you Manfred with a half smile on his face. He and Leon and the Archdruid all move towards the door, with Johan staying back with the rest of you, beginning to tell you all about his run in with said Amazons.
You'd do well not to underestimate them as i did. They are well trained warriors and excel at ambushing their prey. Dont be caught flat footed by them, and more importantly, be preparred for their poisoned arrows. If it had not been for those blasted things im sure I could have won. They had a spellcaster with them as well, near as I could tell, some sort of witch. If i recall correctly they had a campsite not far from Riverton, though by now they may have moved on. Might be best to ask any local patrols if they have seen any strange tracks out near the roads. If they were continuing further into the Empire, they wont be far away i imagine.
Do any of you have any specific questions for me? I dont know much about them but I'll do what I can.
((Also anyone can make a history check to see what they may have heard.))
Leon starts back after a moment, looking to Dain. Forgive me if I was confusing, but I ment the tome from this black pudding. I hope you do not mind, but i believe whomever created these creatures may have penned this spellbook, and perhaps that will give us a lead to their whereabouts.

Albanus ponders Johan's words and thinks if she has ever heard of Amazons before...History: 9....
"I'd like to know more about the witch. Was she covered in green or look like a druid? Are these Amazons new to the area? Surely the Archdruid knows something about them?"
Looking towards Dain with a shared disappointment, Albanus asks, "Have you been able to copy the book's contents at all, Dain?"

Aura seems a bit hesitant about picking a weapon she knows could be dangerous, yet she decides to pick it up and keep quiet about what she knew about the staff for now. Her old quarterstaff remains with her, she'd just certainly not be using it for nothing. After taking the item, she moves to stay with the group and hearing about the Amazons she tries to think about it for a second, seeing if she could at least be able to think of some questions to ask.
