Dain, who had not been really even aware of the serving girl, glances over at the door as it closes behind her and their companion. He frowns though when his chair is kicked, and grunts as it becomes clear there is something afoot that might not be so good for their friend. "Seemin like me friend mayhaps ad a bit too much ta drink already." Dain says, nodding to the singer. "Mightin be good ta get em ootside fer a bit." He grips Manferd's elvow and moves with him to the door the others just went through a moment earlier. "Wat da problem?" Dain whispers to Manferd. "Aint a man spose to ave some fun wit a girl?"
As he is led out back, Albanus thinks to himself, This seems a bit odd, maybe I should wait. It is a fleeting thought however, as he begins asking Janice some questions and hearing her answers.

Janice seems almost startled by the appearence of Ashtear, and hearing the commotion from inside she somewhat nervously fiddles with the key still in her hand. Oh, I just needed a hand with this keg, and your friend here was kind enough to help. Isnt that right? I wasnt stealing him from you, honest
(well a tad late to the party, happened while I was sleeping. But,as I was looking for oddities and watching Janice then other folks. Ashtear would've likely followed seeing the others relatively busy).
Ashtear finishes her soup quickly as Albanus and Janice leave, thinking to herself, "Yeah, moonlit walks isn't a good idea while in "Vanishing Town". But helping a barmaid is good information gathering but buddy system." Following along, but not particularly trying to be stealthy but avoiding interrupting Albanus' inquery 7, as Ashtear doesn't find this terribly odd. Except perhaps, that she thought she'd overheard something about fetching kegs-
(clarification note."large piece of timber" LIke.. a 2x4? Or bigger? I'm imagining something bigger, which leads to ..) Seeing Janice move the large wood, "..Okay.. that's a lot of wood. How heavy is a keg? Actually why did the owner let her go alone, or with a guest that arrived less than an hour ago?" Ashtear ponders. Feeling like she's missed something, and with the earlier observations and discussions with Manfred.
Ashtear calls out to Albanus, "Hey bud, Where'dja go? The party's inside. We just got here dont' go a ladyluck on us already."
((Clarification, yes I meant like a 2x4, but just a little bigger and wasnt exactly sure how I would describe it sorry about that!))
Frowning for a moment, looking at Albanus--who, to Ashtear's thoughts, can't be any stronger than she is-which is probably not enough to lift a keg-Well not unless she used the right tools. "Oh, I thought you two were going on a walkin date, my bad. Well kegs are pretty heavy, We could get some of our friend's if you needed help. My other friend is a lot bigger than either of us. pausing for a moment, then tilting her head briefly . But.. How do you normally get kegs? " Gesturing back towards the tavern they've left, while taking a few steps towards the duo near the shed, while lifting her arm and pointing at the lack of thick muscling on her arm to emphesize the probably futility
((On the off chance anything comes up, of note, I have my shield stowed, so my AC is 17, not the 19 on my sheet))

“Uh, what? I-oh yes, the keg. I am helping with the keg.” Albanus looks at Janice and finally turns around to look at Ash. “I think she’s having some trouble with the key though,” Albanus says with a smile. “Say, Janice - do you need help? Hey! Ash is here too, maybe 3 will make this easier?!”
Manfred allows Dain to support him towards the exit, responding "I don't know...it may be nothing, but I don't trust the girl. There is something off about her. I thought she may have been an agent of my father's but now, I think she has something to do with our current business."
As they leave the inn, Manfred begins singing a song of the ancient Dwarven kings and their heroics in the original Dwarvish, hopefully providing Dain with Bardic Inspiration.
As they approach the growing group, Manfred looks puzzled and a little disappointed. "Ashtear? Albanus? Is everything okay? I...err, had a bit too much ale and needed a bit of fresh air."
He looks pointedly at Janice, then back at the Ashtear and Albanus.
(OOC -- Couldn't figure out what toolkit tip triggered Bardic Inspiration -- wasn't action or spell, haha. Anyway, Dain, you have a d8 to add to an ability check, saving roll, or attack roll in the next ten minutes).
(Sorry guys. I was travelling back home through the day and didn't get a chance to say anything up to this point.)
The light kick from Manfred is enough to spook Aura at first, who seemed concentrated in getting information out of the barkeeper up to this point. Once Manfred points out indirectly what he wanted to look for, Aura is quick to understand and tries to rush quicker than him behind the group.
If she catches any bit of the conversation Janice was having, Aura will also try to ascertain her intentions, her ability to read on people being greater than most people.
(Just to clarify an earlier occurance. The barkeep--all the sudden, up and went to bed, seemingly with just a random one sentence. And did so without closing the Inn, putting us or the other patrons out, closing windows, or settling and getting us rooms?
Just up and left? I w anted to confirm that, since it sounds like most if not everyone is going outside)

Hearing this, Janice seems to be a bit more aggitated. Her eyes narrow for a moment, her stare becoming hard on the half elf. While she fiddles with the key she looks at Albanus for a moment, then back to Ashtear. She almost says something, her mouth hanging open for a moment, before seeming to change her mind as she sees the door open and several others from the group come out.

Janice looks at Manfred for a brief second, before looking to the dwarf and the female Genasi approaching. She doesnt say anything but takes a step back, looking first at Albanus then Ashtear.

((From your time training in the monastary to read people, you get the sense that this person is rather nervous, and for some reason, you get an uneasy feeling about her.))
((Also ooc no problem, rl is always a priority, I'm posting tonight cause I'll be little less active tomorrow))

(yes, literally just stood up and went to his downstairs room and went to sleep. While he did mention that his brother would be in soon he hasnt done anything to close up, seemingly more preoccupied with gefting some rest than anuthing else right now.)
(Drat, that'd been interesting to notice. Well Ashtear has no clue~)
Tilting her head as Janice is about to speak, before turning to see others coming out. "Oh, hey folks. Wanna carry some Kegs? Albanus wanted to help out, and frankly I don't think I could carry a whole keg safely. Did the innkeeper ask you to come out?" Apparently missing the distress-anxious Janice, not thinking about the fact that 4 strangers surrounding her in the middle of night be unsettling to the poor girl.
"I be mor den happy ta help carrin da kegs." Dain says with a nod, heading over. He gives the serving girl a friendly nod, hoping to make her more at ease with how nervous she is seeming to be. "Not as big as som me friends, but if en da keg be too heavy, den can just empty da thing a wee bit before carryin da ting da rest of da way." He gives a grin as he smacks his lips meaningfully. "Where be da keg ye needin carrin?" He asks then.
Survivor will stick with Vulgom, rather than risk anyone being alone. (If he heads outside, Survivor will follow, otherwise stay in the tavern and watch for this brother.)
"Oh, splendid! Janice! What fortune! To be quite honest I am not sure how I was going to help you carry a keg!" Albanus says with a hint of embarrassment as more members of his group come upon him. Looking at Janice, to whom he feels to be a new but close friend, Albanus continues, "She knew we'd be drinking so she was coming to get some ale. Such a thoughtful person!"
Looking to the dwarf and some of the meatier companions, Albanus smiles widely. "Well, Janice, maybe we should take a couple back, eh? We're having some trouble with the door everyone but together we should be able to get it - "
Albanus sort of stops short in his reply, his eyes going full white. The recurring image of a dragon, jet black, caustic foam dripping from its mouth, reappears in his head. Different to the other times the dragon seems to be busy swatting some unseen insects away from its head. A deep and urgent grumbling sound, "Geeeeet ouuuut!" the dragon seems to snarl as it continues to swat away. "Ouuuuuuut!" It's final growl snapping Albanus back to the present...
"-get it-it...oh. Sorry everyone, a bit dizzy I'm afraid," Albanus apologizes, blinking. His eyes returning their normal black. "Let's help good Janice with the kegs." Albanus looks to Janice with a friendly smile. "The dwarf could carry a couple by himself!" Albanus laughs, waiting for Janice to open the door or give someone the keys to help.

Fingers tapping on his glass, the drink level diminishing, Vulgrom looks around almost nervously, "They're out to get more drink, right lad?" He looks to Survivor, smiling through the confusion.
The uneasy feeling this woman gives to Aura makes her visibly uncomfortable. She hadn't quite learned how to hide her own emotions, so she starts talking about what everyone else seemed to want to hide when talking to Janice.
"I don't trust her... Why are you all just going to do that for a suspicious-looking stranger like that? She also seems to have become so nervous when we came here..."She says, to basically everyone around, before continuing by talking to Janice in particular. "Did you want it to be just the two of you? We can't really do that since we're a group. You know that, right?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Manfred spends the intervening minutes extraordinarily confused. I was right about this woman, wasn't I? He thinks to himself, as he sees Albanus cheerfully aiding Janice and Dain and Ashtear agreeing to help. He begins to doubt his instincts until Aura speaks up, and he looks to her approvingly.
"I agree. There is something off about this whole situation. Let's all just take a second here before we open that door. Janice, if there is anything you would like to tell us before things become unpleasant, now might be an appropriate time. If you know anything about this missing persons business, it will go a bit easier for you if you come clean." He slowly unhooks the cover of his rapier.

(OOC: I don’t know if anyone is actually helping at this point with the kegs because I think the door is still locked. Albanus is seeing her as a friendly acquaintance right now but he is not - as far as I know - being controlled.)
Albanus looks at his companions, “I can assure you I mean nothing untoward here,” glancing briefly at Aura. “I asked her a few questions and then Janice asked me to help with kegs.” Albanus will look back at Manfred and then to Janice, not really sure what to make of everything...
Dain glances between Manferd and the serving girl. He frowns as he takes in the fact his friend is about to draw a blade on a woman that Dain himself has seen doing nothing truly wrong as of yet. Maybe she just wanted to get the other alone for some fun in the back shed, no harm in that as far as Dain is concerned.
"Why not just be seein wha be in da shed?" Dain says with a quelling look to Manferd. "Mightin be jus a misunderstandin ye knowin." He moves to the shed and removes the bar, if it is still in place, then swings the door open.
