"Black Dragon." Leshanna says, holding up the coin she was given. She waits for the smith to look up as she stands there. Her eyes travel around the room, taking in the variety of weapons as she does so.
"Well, the first step from keeping any maurading adventurers from tracking your warren down is to keep Hainsly away from the farmers' fields," Orina says, shooting a stern glance towards Hainsly. "After all, that's the reason we're here in the first place, not some tiny dungeon. If you can manage to forage for food without disturbing the locals, they won't be hiring adventureres to go poke around in your forest, and that's a start, at the least."
She turns to Jogs, and the two momentarily lower their heads and whisper amongst each other, pooling their massive intellects for a solution. Coming to an agreement, Orina approaches the hare and the rabbit once more. "From the way you describe it, neither of us would be able to get in without any magic to shrink us down somehow," Orina begins. "But we were wondering if you could take us to the entrance of this dungeon and show us what it looks like anyway? There's a chance it may have a back door or some other way in, and seeing it for ourselves would help us find out if there was a way we could get to it without stomping through your warren's front door. Once we can see what we're up against... and, well, just exactly how small we need to get to enter this dungeon comfortably... then maybe we can start working on a reasonable way to enter it."
Jogs begins humming 'Hold me Closer, Tiny Dungeon' to herself, agreeing with everything Orina is saying, and trying to stay focused on the task at hand...
Leshanna: "Oh! My humble apologies, you have my full attention." He stands up in his chair. "What are you looking for eh? What kind of work do you do- or hey, just throw me an adjective and I'll find something to match your tastes. If I can't find it, I can make it!"
There are all sorts of guns, each one unique. There are wide selection of flintlock pistols, the usual weapon for folks around here, but there are just as many weapons you've never seen: long ones, big ones, short ones, really tiny ones. There's a few that look like you could use the as a prosthetic limb, a couple disguised as boots, and quite a bit with sharp implements attached.
Rabbit Warren:
Orina & Jogs: Hainsley and Beau take you a hole dug into the ground. "This is the most direct path." says Beau. The hole is probably just large enough that a child might be able to squeeze through, probably around 1 foot in diameter. "if you can get through here, even barely, you should be able to go through the dungeon with no trouble."
As you shoot him a glance Hainsley says. "Hey, the main reason we can't forage as much is because of the people going through here all the time, so that should solve both problems. Although, I might steal every now and again, I don't know if I could help it; it's way more profitable, and I find it quite thrilling. That won't really matter though, right, since I'll be coming along with you after this, right?
The Rosebed:
Zacharias: "Precisely, silver is a holy metal, and they detest the stuff. So whoever is making them do this can force the demons to do so, they cannot be controlled through the casting of the spell alone. I don't know if it's to test himself, or if he actually needs the silver for something, but we need to take that into account. Now, anyway, how we meet this man is quite simple. Here are the condtions that must be met: Zachrias;" he pulls out a green figure; "I will need you to get a prize chicken from the market, do you think you can do that?"
"I am a ranged fighter." Leshanna says with a glance to the weapons. She lifts her longbow to explain. "The longer the distance the better, and the more attacks I can do, as often as I can do them, the better..."
Orina studies the hole, looking to see if there's some way to widen it without damaging the warren. Investigation: 22 + Guidance: 2.
While doing so, she leans down and asks the grass and plants around around the hole using Speech of Beast and Leaf, "Can you guide us to another entrance to this place?"
Persuasion: 17 + Guidance: 2
(DM: I checked up on Speech of Beast and Leaf - Orina can talk to animals and plants, and they can understand her, but she technically should not be able to understood their *spoken* answers, so plants and animals who don't speak one of her 5 languages can't talk back to her, FYI. She still gets charisma check advantages while trying to convince them to do stuff, though. If you want to homebrew that she can understand the plants, I am totally cool with that though, haha!)
Yaw: I look around the room at the assortment of weapons pointed at my head. Some common, but some... Strange... "This man may have stolen from you, but I'm familiar with you black dragons. I crossed paths with one in the swamp outside of town and one of you nearly ate me right up if I hadn't escaped! I just can't stand by and let that happen to that poor man succumb to that fate. Let him go! Eat me instead!" I reach out my arms, wincing, as I wait to feel his razor sharp teeth sinking in to my flesh.

Yaw: The Tavern bursts into uproarious laughter, instantly. "HO HO HO! Boy, your either missing a few brain cells, need a history lesson, or both! I thought I was going to teach you a lesson, but it seems I'll have to, well, teach you a lesson! Here, why don't you come with me, you may see that my methods are not too harsh, it's rare enough to see one uphold anothers honor at great risk, but to make this old one give a genuine laugh is rarer."
Rattles has a look of delight and confusion, and with no words that come to mind, he just looks at you and gives a rattley thumbs up.
Leshanna: "Ah, well I see, if you like unloading on them, range isn't a huge option unless you sacrifice some power. Not like your weapon needs to replace a longbow, only compliment it. But if you want distance, I can give you distance." He pushes off the desk and the chair rolls over to a wall. He pulls a beefy looking longarm off it. "This baby is called the Trebuchet, cause it can throw stones at a distance of 300 meters with perfect accuracy. You want a good balance of range, power, and accuracy, this one's for you. However, it can really only get off about 1 shot before you need to reload, as is the standard for most long range weapons.
However, If you want to get a good amount of attacks in and don't care much about the long range aspect, I can reccomend a standard flintlock, but I can do some tweeking if needbe so it fits your specifications."
Rabbit Warren:
((Yes, Orina can understand and speak to trees and animals, despite what the trait says.))
Orina and Jogs: "Roots touch very deep" is the standard answer the trees give. "Ancient, Buried" Based on Beau's description, that the tunnel winds through the warrens, which the dungeon lies directly beneath, so widening it is impossible.
(Assuming Zacharias knows where the market is since he's been in Resolve for a tenday.) "A 'prize chicken'?" The paladin looks askance for a second, then raises his eyebrows. "Of course. What do I do with it, and how should I pay for it?"
"Ok then..." Leshanna says, thinking a bit. "I either want something that can replace my longbow, but it needs to give me a reason to switch to it... So needs to out do the longbow in either distance, damage, or number of times I can get off an attack with it. It also must not lessen any of those things past what I can do with the longbow." She pauses as she glances over the items on the shelves. "If you do not have something that fits that bill, then I need something that I would find useful when my longbow is not an option. For that I would leave it up to you for suggestions."
She takes down the stone launcher, the smith pointed out to her first, and looks it over. "This seems to have the same number of times I could get off an attack with it, as my longbow. What sort of damage does it do?" Glancing to the flintlock, when that is mentioned. "About what could I expect that one to do for number of times I could hit with it, and the damage dealt? How about range?"
Yaw: I hesitantly peak through one squinted eye. I've never seen a dragon... laugh?
I look around the room as the group seems to relax. Some return to their socializing.
"Uh.. um.. okay.. I..." I stutter as I follow along with Nick and Rattles. My hands are shaking. It would be difficult to play any instrument in this state.

Noldeme: You look across the docks, describing the man to someone. "You mean the guy with white eye, tricorne hat, and weird ravens? How could you miss him, that's Captain Deadeye, that's his ship right over there." They point a ship at the docks, and as you look at it, you can see him looking out from a window in the captain's quarters.
((Will post more tommorrow))
Noldeme nods to the man who helped. "Thanks, I'll see to have a simple conversation with him..." She says and leaves, heading towards the ship. If allowed access easily, she'll try as soon as possible to get inside the ship and face-to-face with Captain Deadeye.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rafon's Run Settlement:
Ulrich makes his way to the side of the house and unto the roof. He takes a deep breath, gauging the throw he will have to make as he ties a noose at one end of the rope. He takes a few swings than lets the rope fly.
((It's past midnight here, but what the heck, I'll do one more late post I guess))
Greenport:
Noldeme: You head directly to the ship. The boarding plank is already down, so you go ahead and head up, since it seems nobody is around "Come to rougen me up a bit more?" Seems Deadeye is alreay waiting for you. He has no weapons drawn. "It's pointless, you know, I can see as much." He points to his white eye. "Neither my end nor your own is here, so if you're expecting a dual to the death, I'm afraid you're out of luck. That being said, I am sorry about the fate of Pua'a, I did what I had to."
Rafon's Run Settlement:
Ulrich: The Rope flies through the air, and loops around the chimney. A firm tug confirms a strong tie. "Where'd you learn to do that?" says John, impressed. "Now I'm curious, what exactly do they teach you at the Death temple anyway?"
Blackport:
Yaw: You follow Nick and Rattles, there's a trapdoor that opens to a stairwell behind the bar. It certainly much quieter down there then up in the bar, looks like a storage room, but there are more doors and more rooms down there. "You see a Black Dragon is just a name for us trained members of the Cardinal Ports, not actual dragons. I don't even know how you could mistake me for one." He does look just like a fat old human. "Although, the old tale is that the very first was one, but I would take that with a grain of salt. I'm certainly not one. Tell, me, you say you saw one in the swamp and lived, I'd certainly like to hear about that."
Rattles confirms "It's true, he was just telling me about that."
Zacharias: "Yes, it don't care how you get it, but it has to be a prize chicken, as in, one that's won a contest. Once you've got it, throw it into a busy street, trust me."
Edgar butts in "His plans don't always make a whole lot of sense, by they work out. Don't ask how."
"Edgar will disguise as a Caretaker, and Areyo, you need to best a wizard in hand to hand combat. I will of course, be assiting you along the way. After these conditions are met, Zacharias, you will come into contact with the Warlock, I hope you are prepared for that."
Blackport:
Leshanna: "Aye, the rifle does a bit more damage than the pistol, and the pistol can shoot about 120 at long range, and about 60 at most for the best accuracy. However, if you want something to compliment the longbow might I suggest-" He racks a shotgun from behind his desk. "Something a bit like this? Terrible range, but if somebody comes next to you they'll regret it."
"It's an ancient dungeon, and buried deep under the ground," Orina explains to the others after hearing the answer of the trees. "The entrance passes directly through the warrens, and it's the only way in, as far as the tree roots know." Rubbing her chin, she weighs facing her own demons or not, before finally asking Hainsly and Beau, "You wouldn't happen to know of any druids who're making a conclave in this forest, would you? Or any other sort of magicians in the area, for that matter? Barring that, unless Jogs has a better idea we're going to have to go back to Rosebush to report on this and see if they can get us some sort of polymorph scroll or potion to help us fit down there."
"The black dragon coin gets me one of these then?" Leshanna asks, wanting to make sure she understands what is going on. "If so, then I'll take the rifle." She glances to the shotgun and pistol as well though. "How much do you sell those for though?"
One of my family's retainers taught me. I heard the Calling since an early age, so all were ordered to fill my head with other things." No matter how unbefitting my rank it might be." Ulrich gives a small smile. "Of course, it didn't matter once She had Her say."
He looks for a place to attach the other end of the rope to and secures it. "John, you go first then Dula."
Ulrich scans the windows to see if the face has been watching and can see what they are trying to do.
