Iam comes into the temple and almost immediately begins looking around at the stone work, architecture, and art trying to get an idea of the values this society places on life and what they associate with it, along with the skill and effort put forth into the work. He barely notices Liadon put some coins in a box.
As they move deeper into the church Iam will ask, "Are you a worshiper of this faith? And before you fell unconscious you were quite certain you needed to go somewhere." Iam voice sounds quite curious about both subjects.
"It's got something to say, aye? How about we hear it before it answers our questions?" Noldeme looks at Nae, before turning to the kobold and waiting for it to tell whatever it was there to tell them.

Corvidae - Temple of Life
Liadon casually strolls as his companion inspects different aspects of the cathedral. He smiles to himself as he answers, "I am certainly not a follower of this faith, nor any other. Only peons and pawns follow a God that no longer exists or still exists and doesn't care. And, yes, I was quite certain I needed to return to the Villa, and still do."
An idea pops into Liadon's head. He speaks with a wearisome voice, "Perhaps I can finally convince you to come to the Villa. I might not be able to make it all the way back across town without your assistance. We have every amenity you can imagine, and I could return you here no the morrow by way of carriage." {Liadon Persuasion: 18}
Iam snorts. "I will accompany you to your villa, to make certain you make it there. Unfortunately, I can not stay there. I have given my word that I would check on another place this evening. Whenever you feel you are ready to start towards your villa, so am I. I will come here to learn of this culture another time."

Liadon smiles broadly, "Wonderful! On the way you can tell me about your obligations this evening. You are new in town, yet already have so many things going on!"
He leads Iam back to the entrance. He peers out to look for the Caretaker as he steps into the daylight. {Liadon Perception: 13} He looks for an unoccupied coach that might be strong enough to taxi himself, Iam, & his bulk back to his Villa. Letting Iam in first, he gives the directions to the driver.
"Oh, it is not that exciting. Division six offered me a job and I said I would stop by their tent and check them out. Lots of building projects. Which is strange for a division surrounding forecasting the future."
Liadon begins to wonder if his episode with Iam earlier was a premonition rather than admonishment. Liadon sounds genuinely interested when he says, "Really! Are you a builder or mason, by chance? I was actually looking for someone to replace our current builder at the Villa. We are expanding the Villa with a new wing and my fiance has been desperate to replace our current builder."

Orina and Jogs (Bunny Battalion) | Cordivae - Rosebush Tent
Jogs backs away as quickly as she advances, quickly adjusting to the mood of the room. She shakes her hair loose a bit in frustration at her dimness, but immediately takes a position at the tentflap, hammer and shield at the ready. She glances over her shoulder, embarrassed, to be sure Hainsley's ok.
"Sorry, I... ah...I get agitated when I haven't had a drink. I'll watch the door."
She persuades any who try to enter that there's official RoseBush business going on and to please keep moving along...
Voldred: "Uh...Voldred, right, totally knew that, didn't forget or anything, definitely won't forget again." Twill orders something light as well. "The Tower, oh, well I don't know a whole lot about it, but I know that it is dangerous beyond belief. The first level, as I said, is just a seemingly endless set of stairs, but near the end of it is a balcony stairwell that wraps around, giving an overlook of the entire continent, not hard, just exhausting, but it means you are forced to travel light. The next floor, however, is the problem, just a striaght hall full of unavoidable traps. If your looking for information, good luck, people pay good money for information from veterans, and trust me, they are beyond scarce. I've heard that's how One in Gold made his way in the world, but that's just a rumor, and nobody knows where to find him. He sounds too shady anyway, so don't bother...anyway, right, climbing The Tower is ardous, but every floor you beat, there is a reward, the first one is some food, water, and a few pennies, but the other floors I don't know. I would pack food anyway, but obviously you can't pack nearly enough without being exhausted after the stairs, you definitely can't haul them through trap land, and anything else you bring means less room for gold that you'll need to carry back down the stairs. So...you see, building that's why I'm thinking of an elevator, it means more visitors, faster safer travels, we charge to bring it up, and charge a heck of a lot more to bring it down taking a portion of the loot...oh, right I forgot you were already convinced, but you get it, right?"
Chloro Hills:
Xamodas, Nae, Noldeme: "Oh, yes, in many a hillside cave do we live. Lot's and lots of used to live to the north, but...well we aren't welcome there anymore, so I've been taught. We live here at our own risk. Simple folk: digging tunnels, getting food, repopulating, dying and not much else to speak of except for a few outliers, but I'm taught that's what most peoples are like...and speaking of outliers, that's what I was hoping to ask about." The kobold doesn't come closer, but reveals what they were holding in their hands, holding it over their head. A book. "A rare few tribes may have members that could read or write, but I've never had the oppurtunity to learn, as hard as I've tried. I want to learn, and this book is the reason, it is a magic book, and through constant practice , intuition, and sheer luck, have I taught myself a scant few spells that lie within, but not very well. I have nothing I can give you, all I ask is for you, all of you, to teach me. You are no doubt magical, so you must be wise. Please, it is all I have ever wanted."
Corvidae - Temple District -> Corvidae - Castle District? ((Wherever this 'villa' is))
Liadon and Xamodas: The Caretaker bids you off. as Liadon plinks a few copper coins into a nearby Mite box, then quickly make your way out. A firbolg cleric is seen coming, wanting to greet you, but by then you've already hailed a taxi and made your way off. A halfling at the reins welcomes you aboard, there is a small sign for prices, and boy, they aren't cheap, it will be 5 silver for each of you just to go to a single district (yes, that is suppose to be expensive). Must be raising the prices cause the demand is so high, simple economics. Once you get there, you'll pay, but for now until then you'll slowly make your way through busy city streets in a small dedicated lane for carts like these which people walk in anyway. "So folks, which district you headed too?" You realize this halfling looks like a well armed adventurer...no, he is one, certainly, guess not everyone can make money building obstacle courses.
Corvidae - THE Crow Bar:
Dordis, Leshanna, Zacharias: Leshanna recalls, it's not entirely clear why, but there have been guns that she has seen with simalir looking sigils, perhaps they are of some magical use when engraved, but the slot has you at a loss.
Dordis recalls that in the north, Spearhead, or the develpment sector to be more precise, occasionally puts there advanced knowledge to use to create magical prototypes of devices that usually only rest within theory. Some are expensive flops with only a handful of rarities sitting around if they haven't been recalled for being dangerous, some find their ways into various niche markets, and others find wide mainstream success. You look again, and there on the panel, though it is quite small, are the letters 'exP', referring to the head of the devolpments, Exodia Primarch. These devices are known to be extremely finicky, having unorthodox quirks that you need to tolerate, like the most well known "Storage Blanks" (although they go by many names) of various types, which can carry objects magically in a small, lightweight space, but have various horrible consequences if you try to store too much, which have generated more than a few injuries and costly damages and plenty of warning labels. They obviously don't require you to be magically attuned, or to be "charged", so maybe this thing does work somehow...you take another look, perhaps there is another seal there to create a powerful triplicate, maybe the switches help with that, it all depends on how magic runs through the machine...with the symmetry and seals involved, maybe it's like an alchemy circle? Might as well start experimenting, your magic ain't coming back till tommorow anyway.
Zacharias continues with Lucy "Ah, well wagon park is west of here, so you'll be walking with The Tower on your left side when you are going towards the wagon park. Headed to the river, just follow the main road through the outer villages and you'll get there, it can get pretty hard to see though, but if the tower is to your right and your kinda moving toward it, you'll be headed in the right direction."
Blackport:
Tsahil finds a popular dive known as "The Shady Lamppost", you are half scared to head in, but you realize that nobody there will recognize you as a caretaker anyway. Hopefully, something like an over 99% chance it won't happen. You walk in, and see a strange sight, it seems that the place has gone entirely hushed, and you hear a fuzzy sounding voice coming from a table which everyone has crowded around. Occasionally, hoots and cheers come up, and suddenly about half the crowd breaks into cheers while the other wail and pout, and then, after a bit of talking and sometimes exchanging coin, they return to it. You've never seen this done before, you wonder what's up.
Corvidae - Rosebush Tent:
Orina & Jogs (Bunny Battalion):
"Ah, I understand, Jogs, long days of adventuring do cause one to be on edge. If I may, I can conjure up some proper substance for you, any sort of ale you prefer?" He waves his hands and chants a word, and is his hand appears a small can, which he open the top of with a *click-psssh* and drinks some. "I'm a bit more into soda myself, they are getting quite popular in the south, I hear, although I can never get the taste quite right, it's almost as good as the real thing "He takes another sip, and then grimaces a bit. "Almost...perhaps it was never quite good in the first place, I can't recall, but it sure is addicting."
He pours out the drink, a little bit, between sips. "Ah, right of course, that is my specialty. Thank you, it will take only a second." He takes the hefty tome from his side, placing on the nearby desk with a nice *THUD* A flipping open it's pages. "This is professor, it is a poweful divanatory tool of my mostly my own design." He pulls out a black feather pen from his sleeve. "And this is a very, very special pen, which, although it can be used like a regular pin, it works specially with the pages of this book...also, I'm explaining it in advance, because my clients always ask...observe." He writes into the book, while holding the gauntlets in his hand. "Could you please tell me what the magical gauntlets I am carrying do." After a bit, the message sits there, and then another message slowly writes itself out. "They protect your hands like average gauntlets..." it waits a bit, then another line. "When an object is viewed through the wearers thumbs and forefingers like a window." it draws a picture that demonstrates. "The object can be grown or shrunk at will, based on the moving the fingers inward or outward..." it also writes. "If the subjects uses their whole hand, with all of their fingers outward, the object will maintain it's density through it's change."
"Fascinating" Goes Rowan. "And very powerful, they would be much more trusted on my hands, if you would be willing." he says while handing them back to you. "The egg, on the other hand...I actually know what that is...I call it a Mind Egg, though that's pretty dull, essentially it is some kind of physical form of compressed memory, but I've never seen on quite that large before. If your wanting to accsess them, though there is some danger to it, you can sleep with it under your pillow."
As Hainsley looks on as the book writes out and goes. "Wow...I actually just realized that I can't read at all, but whatever the gloves do must be cool if you want them." Rowan says to Hainsley. "You can too read, aspects are creatures of thought, you can speak without being taught, why not read?" Hainsley looks at the book again. "Well, you see, there are words there but I don't know what they mean." he says somewhat curtly.
Temple District - Grand Abode:
Ulrich: "Ohh, that does sound like a good book, I think I've read one a bit like that, ever heard of "Fracture"? That's a pretty niche one, but I think everyone would love it if they read it. I agree I do think every work of fiction has some underlying truth to it, that's why I come here to see if I can learn something that you wouldn't find in a magical textbook.
"Ah, a sounds a bitnoble work, indeed, although quite a bit freightening sounding. I wouldn't be surprised if a good tale started out with that very line, maybe you should write a book about your life? My work is, well, just more and more about understanding how magic works, really that's what wizards do. I've been focusing alot on the Empress and Emperor seals lately...oh, you know a bit about seals, don't you, I would hate to bore you with jargon you don't understand, I can simplifly it a bit if you like and... wait, hold on now, my tangent almost distracted me...you didn't actually explain what your work is at all, like do you work at a hospice or something, c'mon, don't be like a mysterious voice through a ball of mist! What did you do, I don't know, yesterday?"
"I see, so that's how it is. Lucky for you, there are more ways than one to solve a problem."
Voldred will use Minor Illusion to make a tiny goblin appear in the palm of his hand, and then 'squash' it.
"That is a good plan, but I have to ask: what about security? You can't have people fighting over it, but more importantly, you can't have someone try to get a free ride, or claim the ownership of that elevator for themselves after we've done all the hard work. Or try to sabotage the elevator. Or ambush someone near it. Or...you get the idea. We need to find reliable guards somewhere."
Stranger and stranger, thinks Xamodas to himself. A collection of scrolls, perhaps? Or maybe some hedge mage's spellbook. I might be able to use it.
"I may be able to assist, and to teach you a few things. Let me see the book, and while I look it over, you can answer the questions my ser - my companions have for you." He holds out his claw, expectantly. "They are quite intelligent themselves, and I think you'll find it good conversation."

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
"Seems like one of my bullets would fit in that slot." Leshanna says, and pulls out a bullet from her pack. She glances to the others. "Might want to step back as I try this..." She would wait till the others do so, then slip the bullet into the slot.
(DM: How big is this thing? Can Leshanna pick it up?)
Zacharias thanks Lucy again before walking over and telling Dordis he's going to go find Connor. He then leaves, following Lucy's directions to head toward the wagon park to make sure Areyo hasn't delivered the halfling there, and then heading to the river port.

Corvidae- Carriage
"I'm not a mason. Though I would like to learn that and smithing, they would complete my knowledge base in construction. I do know civil planning and how to read and draw up plans for a project. I am also trained in carpentry." Iam replies to Liadon as he climbs aboard the carriage, doing what he can to distribute his weight. Looking the driver over he is surprised to find him so heavily armed.
"Do you often find your self being assaulted for driving the carriage? or are their just more dangerous districts?" Iam will ask the driver as he sits down, placing his pack on the floor between his legs, his left leg through both the straps, shield towards the front. His spear he holds in his right hand. Then he carefully looks over the driver for any indication besides the exorbitant prices that he is something other than what he seems.
Corvidae - Temple District -> Corvidae - Castle District
Liadon makes a mental note of the price and the driver as he sits opposite Iam, facing the back of the carriage. He regards Iam, formulating a new strategy as he idly listens to his conversation with the driver.
"Yesterday? I was helping a town with the betrayal of its mayor that endangered the lives of everyone there. Many were lost before we got there, and many injured in ways that will follow them for the rest of their lives. Myself and two others defeated the threat, helped by my Queen."
"Teaching a kobold to read? Do we really have time for this? We still have to get to Corvidae." Noldeme asks Xamodas just assuming he was actually entertaining that idea.
Dordis examines the device, noticing its features and the side-effects it comes with. Dawning on this thought, he looks toward Leshanna to say, "I can tell now what this device most likely is, and I think it would be best if you secure yourself out of its danger if you do not know how to operate it." The exhausting effect of his magic reserve at the back of his mind pushes Dordis to walk toward Lucy, showing one of the bonds given earlier, "We were given these from another caretaker, and I believe we can redeem these for stay within taverns and inns, but I do not know if that accounts for this location. While on that matter, perhaps if you have still the time, I would like to know how this establishment came to exist, if that is a question you may answer?" Dordis occasionally glances at the side to Leshanna, hiding the curiosity on his face. Retroactively, he fixes his posture again while holding the bond on an open hand(probably his right).
Chloro Hills "Actually.... Excuse me Mr. Kobold... uh what was your name again? Do you know the quickest way to Corvidae? Oh and also what challenges might we come across on the way there?" Nae gives a satisfied smile to Noldeme "Least we can do is get some information while he's doing that right?"

Voldred listens to Twill's explanation.
Chloro Hills
Stranger and stranger, thinks Xamodas to himself. A collection of scrolls, perhaps? Or maybe some hedge mage's spellbook. I might be able to use it.
"I may be able to assist, and to teach you a few things. Let me see the book, and while I look it over, you can answer the questions my ser - my companions have for you." He holds out his claw, expectantly. "They are quite intelligent themselves, and I think you'll find it good conversation."
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Crow Bar...

Liadon makes a mental note of the price and the driver as he sits opposite Iam, facing the back of the carriage. He regards Iam, formulating a new strategy as he idly listens to his conversation with the driver.
Temple District - Grand Abode:
"Yesterday? I was helping a town with the betrayal of its mayor that endangered the lives of everyone there. Many were lost before we got there, and many injured in ways that will follow them for the rest of their lives. Myself and two others defeated the threat, helped by my Queen."
Noldeme, Nae, and Xamodas | Chloro Hill
"Teaching a kobold to read? Do we really have time for this? We still have to get to Corvidae." Noldeme asks Xamodas just assuming he was actually entertaining that idea.

Dordis
Chloro Hills
"Actually.... Excuse me Mr. Kobold... uh what was your name again? Do you know the quickest way to Corvidae? Oh and also what challenges might we come across on the way there?"
Nae gives a satisfied smile to Noldeme "Least we can do is get some information while he's doing that right?"
