Rafon's Run: Road to Glanyrafon
Tsahil:
The swift kick completely misses you, the Triton follow up with a swing of his trident. Attack: 14 Damage: 7
The trident seems just about to rake across your chest, but something instinctive kicks in as time seems to slow, and you just barely manage to redirect the blow, almost falling off the cart in the process. You take no damage (even though it should have just barely hit under normal circrumstances). There is still your violent assailent in front of you, and fast moving ground behind you, but at least you're not injured! It's your turn!
Stepping from the fountain Iam looks and feels about his self. "No, I seem to be fine. It said it would have stopped me from hurting myself." Pausingto look at Eli before continuing, "You got here really quick. Different sigil? In any case I have no temple preference. I was in that one earlier today, or was it yesterday now?" Iam picks a temple that seem open with lights on heading towards it.
Ulrich: "No,I don't think so, but if your really interested, you could look through the rest and pick something you like." Elan throws you the minature wardrobe he took out earlier I was told I would be going with you to Spearhead in order to pick up some things, and speaking of picking things up." Elan takes a magenta card out of his pocket and waves it over your box full of stuff. He hands it to you, and you notice the image of the object is on it. "Came in one of these, I imagine they intended to give it to you as well. I would have thought you would have already had a full set, but they are pretty newfangled." (The card lets you place or remove a small object or collection of objects within as an action.)
Goodhand's Inn:
Voldred: The robed woman runs down the hall into the empty common room of the Inn, vaulting over tables without losing speed, she grabs a chair with one arm and throws it through a window before leaping out. The torrent of infested water spills out into the room, slowly rising up; it is pouring in like a torrent from the way you came. You manage to just barely outrun it, instinctively leaping onto a table before even getting your boots wet. "Hurry up!" calls the woman from outside. "Barracuda is looking for you, if she knows you're here, she's going to come and take that stone from us."
"Damn it, woman, give me a second!" Voldred barks in response as he's trying to catch his breath and assess the situation. The room is starting to fill up with vile water, but fortunately there's plenty of furniture, and Voldred is a spellcaster. Voldred uses Mage Hand to move a few chairs to make himself enough stepping surfaces to make it to the window without touching the water, and jumps out. After a few seconds of heavy breathing, he regains his composure and turns to the robed woman with a dagger in his hand, ready to attack at the slightest provocation.
"I have a lot of questions and very little patience, so let's start with something simple: who the hell are you, how do you know about the stone, and why does everybody want the damn thing?"
Ulrich's eyebrow raises as he examines the card before slipping it into a pocket. "Very handy. They did not tell me about this. Appears much was left for you to explain."
He goes through the clothes. "Which clothes function as informal? Do they do such a thing?" He shakes his head. "Feels like I am back at one of Mother's parties. Minding my clothes so they do not wrinkle."
He looks up from the clothes. "I should have asked how much the card holds. Can I be precise with the placing and the removing?"
Ulrich holds up a long coat, apparently for outdoor wear but in too good a condition. "Can this be weathered? Made to look used? My excuse will be to protect the proper clothing. I think I can make it useful. I would rather give them an identifier than have them come up with one. Are they also resistant to those 'who try too hard to fit in'?"
Xamodas scans his surroundings keenly as he plods a few feet behind the group. There seemed to be some apprehension from the locals, and oddly, he felt like it wasn't solely directed at him, a child of Red. What had Noldeme forgotten, exactly?
"I am curious," he speaks only as they wait for transport. "You knew we needed to come this way, but could not explain more. It seems like you would find answers here, but you forsake them to travel further. Has anything come to you?"
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Noldeme is still a bit distracted, trying to process the thoughts of what she heard. Hearing Xamodas's voice puts her away from her spaced out stance as she comes back to and responds. "Oh, huh, no... I guess now would be a good time to explain. I haven't exactly come here for this reason in specific. I made a mistake..."
She sighs and continues. "I've heard a voice in my head... It promised to help "make me a hero" or something... I didn't really care for it, but at the same time it was insistent, and I was curious. And so I went on a quest they asked me to complete. It went well, and I earned my bow... Later I discovered the being on the other side had other intentions. A second voice came into my head and told me about the first's intention of stealing my body so they can be the hero instead. I'm now on a second quest, to get away from my mistakes. This place... I need to come back here later, but there are certain priorities I need to put in first."
Orina: You and Barnabus slowly walk through the town. "The animals? It interesting that you ask that, it was quite difficult to make an arrangement with the druids around this area. Nature is...not always something dwarves see beyond monetary value. There were many rabbit warrens beneath this ground that we had to spend much care with not to disturb on the druids behalf. We found the furs and the extra food fairly useful when we were allowed to have it; we had to take every percaution to not draw the druids ire, they were sworn to protect nature and nothing else...some who walked beyond our boundries never returned."
You walk into the domed structure around the tower, which is a common area where many are indulging conversation, tinkering, drinking, and merrymaking. You head to an spiral stairwell, which reaches the peak of the tower. Nothing but trees and nature to be seen, you see a thill extendting into a bluff, and you can imagine Corvidae Castle sitting right on it. Barnabus points towards The Tower in the distance, infinitely more massive than his own. "Look, there it is, the great trial that all hope to overcome. Nobody thought it could be done; little did I know at the time, This was the moment where everything changed."
Suddenly, everything goes black, white outlines marking the outline of objects, and there is complete silence. You can hear your heartbeat in your ears. You see The Tower, suddenly crack, glowing with dozens of lights coming from within, and in an silent instant, it shatters and collapses- KRACK-

Hainsley seems to be undisturbed, but his color and appearance have returned to normal. an arrow whizzs right past your head and into the Tritons shoulder.. You hear the sound of more hooves from behind you, and you see the Caretaker on a shadowy horse riding right on your tail, loading another arrow to shoot at the Triton.
Attack: 21 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
The second arrows misses as the wagon jolts. The Triton reels back his head, and attempts to headbutt you off the wagon. 18
"Arg!" Orina shoots up in the bed, the surprised cry dying on her lips as she's thrown into wakefulness. After taking a quick glance around the room, she scoops up the mind egg and carefully packs it away. "I definitely need to take this to his family," she says, slightly disappointed that she was woken before the great event Barnabus wanted to show her. As the knocking continues, Orina tries to freshen herself up as best she can and fumbles her way towards the door. After checking to see that Hainsley is doing fine, she takes a deep breath and swings it open.
Iam: " I had a voice I could hear saying something about being teleported to the nearest body of deep water for the test. Usually these test aren't quite as...dramatic, but I suppose we are desperate for members. " Eli says, as he starts making a symbol air, and in an instant your body is dry.
You head to a temple which still has some light going. It's not that large inside, a drow cleric is scribing something by the altar, seems this place indulges in the worship of some sort of spider Aspect. Eli asks "which way to the-" and the draw points the way without looking up. "Thank you."
The beds in this room are mostly unoccupied, but a few weary looking folk have taken up some. "I don't know if you have to sleep at all, if you really are a construct." Eli whispers. "but I'm more than due for some rest."
Goodhand's Inn -> Riverport:
Voldred:
You leap out window as the building starts to fill. The outside looks just like the town, but there's an odd shimmer about it, like things aren't quite solid, and it oddly bright out due to the two extra moons beside the normal one. The robed woman helps you up. "I could be asking you the same questions, I'm just an above average thief." She huffs. "I didn't know you were carrying around a Fallen Down Object like that, you just looked like a couple of shumucks from out of town. When I tried to take it from you it was like a thunderclap, the Aspect, Barracuda could sense it instantly."
Voldred listens to her with a lot of conflicted emotions. The most prominent of which is anger.
"So you did try to rob me. And now thanks to you I have to deal with another Aspect!"
Voldred starts raising his voice as he fights the urge to kill the woman on the spot. Under normal circumstances he wouldn't hesitate for a moment, but these aren't normal circumstances. After a few seconds Voldred relaxes his pose, sheathes his dagger and starts walking around the building to try and find Twill.
"You're on thin ice, thief. I don't offer second chances to people who try to screw with me, but under the circumstances I'll make an exception. Either help me get out of this mess you caused, or stay out of my way."
Iam follows along listening. He waves acknowledgement and thank you to the dark elf, being a bit surprised still at the contrast between Corvidae's acceptance of so many different races against the feelings of prejudice that the tiefling from earlier felt. It was all so interesting though. In reply to Eli's need for sleep, Iam responds," Normally for myself doesn't require sleep. However, today has brought a great many new things which need time to incorporate into my being. That time would perhaps seem like a deep sleep to you, but that time doesn't need to be now. When would you like myself to awaken you?" Iam asks of Eli. He finds a bed by Eli's and lays down.
Ulrich: "Really, it's not about formal or informal, it's about how expensive it is, or at least how expensive it looks. Shirt and pants would be the most informal, but we would stick out like a sore thumb, at least on weekdays. When cleaning magic exists, really no reason to have more than one, maybe two outfits anyway. Unless your like me who has well..." suddenly, in an instant, and slowly acclerating, you get a microglimpse of hundreds, maybe even a thousand different looks in an instant, before back to his original. "...more than a few to sparen for any occasion."
"You know, I've never thought of that...I think as long as you move it with your hands, you can pick it up or put it down easily. Can't use it to steal someone's shirt off their back...at least not with this one. I've heard there are lot's of different versions that change up the entire inventory experience, but to be honest, if you can just get the one that let's you pick up and remove things easily and normally, I'd just get that; that's one of the most expensive, unsurprisingly. Of course, if you are very familiar with the eccentricities of a particular deck, you might find it more advantageous to use. Mine let's me do that trick that you saw earlier, and yours...well I don't know, but be careful cause there was a big legal dispute over them cause of the damage they caused when they first went on the market. Something about overflow."
"I can make clothes look like anything with enough time, weathering is no problem. Everyone tries hard to fit in, Ulrich, those who don't can often be more suspicious. Like I said, when magic exists to change clothes specifically, even if it's weathered they'll think it's part of the style, but I think a longcoat will do just perfectly anyway. Your looking less like a cleric from the north and more like a private investigator, or someone that owns a fighting pit? Tough business."
Riverside Village:
Nae, Noldeme, Xamodas:
As you await someone to help you, someone else comes out of the same house the otter went into. A halfling kicks the door of it's hinges and sends it flying, sending Vir cowering behind Xamodas. They walk out, wearing a flowing blue and white garb with a furred trim, a large necklace with polished riverstones as beads, and a scowl on their face. They turn to face you and shove an index finger in your general direction. "YOU! What makes you think you have any right to treat the elder with such disrespect!" He roars "Did you think that just because you're a couple of girls with a weird dog that we would just bend over backwards for you? If you want something, then you need to earn it!" You notice that a pool of water begins to flow around is feet and swirl close to his heels. He takes a defensive stance, and the water takes the shape of an arrow pointed in your directions. "I'll give you two choices, earn your way downriver, or I'll beat you back into the fields and let the Lightmares blow your souls into a million pieces!"
Vir whispers to Xamodas in draconic "when he says weird dog...is he talking about me or you?"
((Yeah, I thought shoves were athletics only to contest, and athletics or acrobatics for grapples. Turns out it can be either for either.))
You are suddenly violently hedbutted off the wagon, and sent tumbling into the fast moving ground below. As you enter a roll, you feel a sharp pain in your arm suddenly a clawed hand grabs your arm and pulls you upward. You are now on the back of the Caretakers horse, which is fast approaching the wagon. The Triton runs back to front of the wagon to take the reins of the wagon before it goes out of control or tips over. It's your turn!

OOC: I think I missclicked when choosing my proficiencies, cause I have it on athletics and not on acrobtics, which makes both of them kinda lame. Is it ok if I change that from here on?

Waynewright Inn:
Orina: "It is I, Finn Bashford, who has been knocking on your door!" says the colorfully bearded man, who you can only assume is called Finn Bashford. "I would, first and foremost, like to humbly apologize for my fiendish ambushing of you earlier, and I am glad that you humbly accept my apology." he says with a bow. As he rises up with an elegant flourish, he suddenly pulls a flier out from behind him. "Seeing as you were in need of assistance but a few days ago, and I graciously offered my services, I would hope extend my offer to you again. You see, as I'm assure you are aware they announced the Winter's End festival was moving forward ahead of schedule, as apparently spring is coming early this year. I am making a one time offer, where we can band our skills together to conquer..." he looks at the flier and scans it over, whispering to himself. "...cooking, performance, beast- Ahem! Cooking, performance, beast taming, and many other challenges, as well as band together for the group stages of tournament! Also, I don't have enough money to pay for admission on my own, so what do you say?"
Riverport: Twilight:
Voldred: "Yeah, big deal I tried to rob you, you looked easy, and you were acting suspicious. Actually, I'm still trying to rob you, but I've put that on hold until I can stop Barracuda from robbing you first."
"What does it look like I'm trying to do, idiot?" She scoffs. "You shouldn't even be here, the chances of accidentally waking up in the twilight are slim to none unless you've got some history I don't now about. I imagine it has something to do with that devil on your shoulder, but I digress. Listen, if you want out of here, you just gotta stick with me until sunrise. Only other way out I know is to cross the only bridge going into town where Barracuda is already waiting."
You go around the side of the building, and Twill turns the corner at the same time and slams into you. You look up, and see a arracuda swimming through the air towards you.
Attack: 27 Damage: 10
There is a CRACK sound from behind you, as your theif pulls out a pistol and shoots the barracuda out of the air. "Safest place to hide would be someplace you visited before in town, mind telling me where that is?"
"Woah" says Twill "Looks like your're alright, Voldred, or maybe even a little more than alright. Mind telling me why you left me behind, or should I ask pretty miss pistol wizard over here?"

Riverport: Twilight:
"She's not a wizard, she's a thief that tried to rob me in my sleep, which made the local Aspect Barracuda notice my stone, which is why we're here in the first place." Voldred says to Twill as he's staring daggers at the other woman after the loud BANG of her shot. "And I left you because I don't make a habit of walking through suspicious portals made by suspicious people, and you looked suspicious as all hell at the time, suddenly knowing how to draw that seal out of nowhere."
Having said that, Voldred walks up to thief, casting Guidance on himself in the process.
"I do have history you don't know about. This isn't the first time I faced an otherworldly being in its domain. Probably won't be the last. Still think I'm an easy mark?"
Intimidation: 16
"Now if you're done being suicidal with your attempts to rob me, we need to go to the armorer. It's the only place we've been before in this town."

Xamodas shrugs, as much as a pony-sized lizard can shrug, and falls silent. That had been a lot of words, but still his task was no clearer to him.
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Archway Offices:

Rafon's Run: Road to Glanyrafon:
Tsahil:

Rafon's Run: Road to Glanyrafon:
"Wow, thanks" Tsahil says rapidly. "Can you keep up with him? I'll try to shoot from here"
If the horse can get parallel to the triton, Tshail will shoot an arrow at him. Attack: 22; dmg: 6
If it can't, he'll try to jump back on the wagon: Acrobatics: 8
